Brandon Struve’s 8/6/09 WDW Photo Report
WDWNT Reporter Brandon Struve took a short trip to the Walt Disney World Resort on Thursday afternoon and has taken a plethora of newsworthy photos to share, so let’s take a look:

Work on the Hall of Champions facade on Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom continues

Work on the “Arcade/Emporium” facade continues as well

The Main Street Restoration Society is responsible for all the sprucing up 😉

This has been a regular sight for a few months now

The front of Pinnochio’s Village Haus is out from behind tarps

Now the side of the building is back under tarps

The facade of “it’s a small world” is looking much better after some final touches were added

Still closed 🙁

The construction walls around Space Mountain have expanded through most of the northern half of Tomorrowland

Rumors indicate that the Tomorrowland Skway building will be demolished over the coming weeks

The restrooms in the Skyway building are now closed while work on the structure continues

This should give you an idea of how far the walls were epanded

The Space Mountain Fastpass distribution area and the front of the arcade are now behind those walls

Those windows we saw through a few weeks ago are now covered up 🙁

Another look at the Skyway building

The construction walls wrap around the back of Tomorrowland

You can see that new lights have been installed above the TTA track in this picture

The year is missing from Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

More construction is taking place on the other side of Tomorrowland

The temporary facade that was placed where the Galaxy Palace Theater once stood is once again behind walls (it appears to be gone)

The new stage for Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial in Adventureland is finished, but hasn’t been used yet

If you look closely, you can see some great details from the film series in the stage area

Moving over to Epcot, the Innoventions East breezeway is now being re-paved

There are tarps over the windows of The Electric Umbrella while this work is going on

The tile is being removed

Here’s the new flooring that we showed you a few weeks ago

Some of the old tile remains at the exit of the Epcot Character Spot

Inside Innoventions, work continues on the upcoming Raytheon “Sum of all Thrills” exhibit

The Germany pavilion has a new meet and greet area for Snow White

It even comes complete with a wishing well.
Thanks for the report Brandon!!!
