What Disney Sidekick did you choose?
Eeyore and the weasel from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Why did you choose the Eeyore sidekick?
Eeyore’s a fun character, always moping around and being a great contrast to the other characters of the 100 Acre Wood. There are some days that I feel like Eeyore. I had an interesting design that I wanted to try where his snout extends down onto the body and he’s standing on all fours.

Favorite Disney Movie?
Fantasia

Favorite Disney Theme Park Attraction?
Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.

Favorite aspect of working on the Mickey shaped canvas?
Because it’s Mickey. I’ve customized all kinds of urban vinyl over the years, but Mickey’s fun because I have a Disney connection and I can share my work with other Disney fans and we can share an appreciation and connection to the shape or subject matter. I also love the ears, there’s so much creative stuff you can do with the ears.

What Disney Sidekick did you choose?
I chose Robin Hood’s Little John

Why did you choose that sidekick?
I chose him because he is one of my all time FAVORITE disney characters, especially in the outfit I put him in when he’s trying to evade prince John.

Favorite Disney Movie?
My favorite disney movie.. that’s hard. It amost seems unfair to have to answer that. I’d have to say it’s Disney’s Robin Hood.

Favorite Disney Theme Park Attraction?
Hmm. Theme Park Attraction… Expidition Everest gets me every time.

Favorite aspect of working on the Mickey shaped canvas?
I actually kind of hate every aspect of working on the Mickey shaped canvas. So I guess my favorite aspect would have to be that it’s Mickey. Anything Disney, I’ll take it.

Another Park Starz 2 revealed

Pic from Vinylmation World

According to Vinylmation World, the second figure of Park Starz 2 was revealed at a special D23 event for the 30th anniversary of EPCOT. It appears to be a Tree Troll from the Maelstrom ride. It also resembles one the unpainted molds we saw in one of the videos from Disney early this year. Now remember that Park Starz 2 will not be available until 2013!

Moore News from London

Some friends of DV, the Moores, just got back from an overseas trip and sent us back a report of what they found.

Hey guys,
We just got back from London and had to make a visit to the Oxford Street Disney Store while there. We also stopped in to the Covent Garden store and the store out near Stratford. The Oxford Street store was by far the biggest of the three as it had a second floor below street level. It was also the only store with more than a half dozen vinyls total. They had lots of flag vinyls and lots of the 25th anniversary light up Mickeys with the base. They also had a full shelf of Big Top and Spooky Series 2. Aside from that they only had a handful of the around the world and a couple of Nerds Minnie vinyls. They also had a 9″ vinyl for £5 which converted to roughly $9 when we were there. Aside from that, they had a few cool displays.

Tower of Terror 10 Miler

This is a big weekend. Epcot 30th merchandise today with the celebration on Monday. Food and Wine Festival just begun. And Saturday night, the big Tower of Terror 10 Miler. Now I just began my Disney running career this past January with the WDW Half Marathon, but these medals are sure good enough motivation to keep on going. This race gives finishers a replica of the Hollywood Tower Hotel with moving elevator and glow in the dark elements.

I had to abstain from chowing down at the Food and Wine Festival today, which was hard since I had to stop by to grab my Epcot 30th stuff and Tony Vinylmation. But you can bet I’ll be attacking those stands Sunday as I walk around the park proudly wearing my medal. I want to say good luck to everyone out there participating in this weekend’s race including our friend Matt over at Vinylmation Kingdom and my Once Upon a Pin co-host Rapinzel. We still couldn’t convince MC to run… maybe next year.

What Disney Sidekick did you choose?
Booster Munchapper!

Why did you choose that sidekick?
It wasn’t a easy choice but I wanted to choose a character that’s not too obscure but would look cool on a vinyl and I chose to go with Booster Munchapper from the animated series Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. So now Buzz has a sidekick he can roam the universe with!

Favorite Disney Movie?
So many great films out there but Beauty and the Beast would be considered my favorite Disney movie.

Favorite Disney Theme Park Attraction?
Every time I visit Disneyland I have to always ride Peter Pan’s Flight at least once.

Favorite aspect of working on the Mickey shaped canvas?
I would have to say that my favorite part when working on a Vinylmation is coming up with designs that best suits the shape.

Reward Yourself with Vinylmation

The Disney Movie Rewards program now offers a Vinylmation for 850 points. It is the 2012 Halloween Minnie Mouse. An interesting choice, especially since they do not seem to be offering the Pumpkin Patch vinyl along with it.

They also have some Funko Pop! Vinyl Marvel figures and other Marvel merchandise available through the rewards program.

Up until now, I’ve just been stocking up on Starbucks gift cards with my points. These offerings are not enough for me to bite, but they are moving in the right direction.

Get them before they turn into a pumpkin!

Yesterday the Cinderella 7 figure set hit Disney Stores and Online. The 9″ Cinderella Castle figure was also available yesterday (proof in screen shot above) but doesn’t seem to be there today. It is an LE 1500 figure and quantities were available throughout US stores as well, so did the online allotment sell out in 1 day? I had a friend pick mine up at the local Disney Store, she also grabbed a 9″, so they were there. I don’t have the set in hand yet, but The Playwright sent us pictures from his pick up at the Times Square store in NYC.

As you can see, the display box swings open to give access to the figures and the back of the box is wonderfully decorated with artwork and an inscription.
