Tonight’s “Star Wars” Force Friday Midnight Event At Disney Parks Now Free To All Guests np

Due to overwhelming guest demand, the Force Friday event on September 4, 2015 is now open to Star Wars fans of all ages – and will no longer be a ticketed event.

Guests who attend this midnight release party will be some of the first to find new Star Wars and Star Wars: The Force Awakens themed merchandise. In addition to items guests may find at The Disney Stores and select national retailers, we will be releasing several items found only at Disney Parks including apparel, pins, toys, retail MagicBands (Walt Disney World Resort only), Vinylmation figures, and more. Please note that purchase limits will apply.

Two merchandise locations – World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort and Once Upon A Toy in Downtown Disney Marketplace at Walt Disney World Resort – will join stores around the world opening their doors at midnight for a special celebration of all things Star Wars.

Beginning September 3, fans across the world will get a sneak peak of new product inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens via the world’s first-ever global live toy unboxing event on the Star Wars YouTube channel. The live stream kicks off with the first unboxing in Sydney, Australia at 7:45 a.m. local time on Thursday, September 3 (5:45 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 2), and concludes with a grand finale at Lucasfilm in San Francisco at 8 a.m. PDT (11 a.m. EDT) on Thursday, September 3.

Guests are encouraged to document their experience using the hashtag #ForceFriday.

First Look At “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Premium Collectible Figures From Hot Toys – “Kylo Ren” And “First Order Stormtroopers” np

Hot Toys has just revealed the first line of 1/6th scale premium collectible figures for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. The first figures revealed are of Kylo Ren and The First Order Stormtroopers, which will come in two versions, a standard Stormtrooper and a Heavy Gunner Stormtrooper.

Tokyo DisneySea Celebrates 14th Anniversary

Tokyo DisneySea opened its gate to guests on September 4th, 2001. The most ambitious Disney project at the time. Often referred to as one of the most unique Disney theme parks in the world, it is enjoyed by millions of guests every year. Earlier this year the Oriental Land Company announced a massive expansion to Tokyo DisneySea (along with Tokyo Disneyland). The future looks bright for both of these theme parks.

Before we look into the future, lets remember where Tokyo DisneySea all began. In this 45 minute documentary by the Travel Channel, they explain how this theme park came to fruition, to the challenges the Oriental Land Company faced.

More than 3,000 retail locations in the U.S. open at midnight to celebrate new ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ products

Today, merchandise inspired by the highly anticipated new movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens launched at retailers around the globe as ‘Force Friday’ officially got underway. Hot off the heels of the 18+ hour global live unboxing event on YouTube where highlights of the new product range were officially unveiled, the celebration continued as more than 3,000 retail locations in the U.S. opened their doors at midnight for fans to be among the first to discover new Star Wars products.

A lot of these images come from the Star Wars: Card Trader, which digitally replicates the original Topps Star Wars trading cards from 1977, along with some new cards from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.

“Ferrytale Wishes” Dessert Cruise Coming to the Seven Seas Lagoon This October np

Everyday, the Magic Kingdom ferryboats transport thousands of guests to and from the park. Starting October 5th, they will also be used for a new nightly fireworks dessert cruise from which guests can see Wishes! or either of the holiday themed shows offered on special party nights. Since the cruise departs from the Transportation and Ticket Center, no park admission is required.

Enjoy a special voyage featuring decadent sweets, specialty beverages (with and without alcohol—in a special glow glass that you get to keep) and one-of-a-kind views of the world-famous Wishes Nighttime Spectacular above Magic Kingdom Park. Our specially created dessert menu includes:

Animal Kingdom Begins Casting for New 2016 Nighttime Entertainment

We know that starting next year, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open late for guests to experience the park after dark, including the new Rivers of Light nighttime spectacular. While we still don’t know too much about this show or the other nighttime entertainment coming to the park in 2016, an interesting set of auditions was recently put out by Walt Disney World…

Disney Creative Entertainment is seeking dancers and physical performers for featured roles in a new offering at the Walt Disney World® Resort, near Orlando, FL. Dancers and Actors with strong communication skills using movement are needed to tell a story. These silent narrators orchestrate all the action to convey the spirit of an ancient and timeless celebration.

Candidates should be trained in any one or a number of classical Indian or Southeast Asian dance styles: Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Kathakali, Chhau, Balinese, etc.

Any additional movement training, including physical storytelling, martial arts or martial dance, is a definite plus.

All candidates must have strong rhythmic foundation/movement and physical storytelling abilities.

Seeking the following roles:

Male Dancers: 5’8″-5’10” and 6’0″+. Strong mover, agile, strong physical storyteller.

Female Dancers: 5’7″+. Strong mover, agile, strong physical storyteller.
