PHOTO REPORT: Disney Springs 3/14/17 (The Edison, The Polite Pig, Hundreds of New Items, Etc.)
Our latest photo report brings us to Disney Springs to see the latest progress on some construction projects, as well as a look at hundreds of new merchandise items recently released. Let’s dive right on in…
Welcome to Disney Springs
Work continues on The Edison in The Landing area.
Regardless what is going inside, I’m already a fan of the exterior of the building.
The AMC is all decked out for the release of Beauty and the Beast this week.
There is a photo-op for guests located just outside of the Dine-In Theater area.
The Mighty Festival is taking place this week at Raglan Road in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
Work continues on Wine Bar George, which is supposed to open this year.
A few of the trashcans around Disney Springs have started to get these big, metal icons attached to them.
Pretty nice, huh?
I love the “stained glass” Goofy’s Candy Co. sign that’s on one side of the store,. but the other entrances still have the old, ugly signs…
New Things to Buy
The Wonderful World of Memories store is now just full of 2017 merchandise.
They also have some items from when they were a scrapbooking and stationery store, but not much.
A new Woody ornament for sale at Disney Days of Christmas.
Disney theme park merchandise has also created their own MARVEL ornaments now. They are heavy and made of metal (and very nice), but $25 each.
The Belle Beauty and the Beast MagicBand 2 is now for sale all around the resort.
A Frozen Ever After opens edition logo pin was finally released.
Some other new open edition pins…
Some Disney Princesses now have light-up dress play sets for $19.99. Elsa and Belle are available.
Marketplace Co-Op
Inside the Wonderground Gallery at Marketplace Co-Op, there is now this awesome ceramic coaster set for sale, $24.99.
This plastic plate ware can be found nearby at the Centerpiece store inside Marketplace Co-Op.
There is also a new Minnie Mouse collection.
Some of the Never Land collection of items has arrived here as well.
How awesome is this throw blanket?
A shot glass, to “toothpick holder”, as Disney calls them… It’s $9.99.
The lantern spotted a few pics above features the Castle on it. It retails for $29.99.
I still am in need of this Monorail toiletry bag in the TAG shop.
A pretty brilliant item for sure.
Some new Wonderground Gallery art and items for sale in the center of the store.
The Adventurer’s Club mug previewed months ago was finally released. It retails for $17.99.
For those who don’t know, this was once a club at Pleasure Island. For those who don’t know, Pleasure Island was an area of Downtown Disney with night clubs. For thoise who don’t know, Downtown Disney was what Disney Springs used to be.
A new Hollywood Tower Hotel shirt from Twenty-Eight and Main.
There is also a new Haunted Mansion-related hoodie.
The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad mug was released as well.
A few weeks old now, but there is also an Enchanted Tiki Room glass for sale.
As well as Shrunken Ned, a favorite from Disneyland.
A set of cardboard coasters can also be found, $14.99 for 24. I don’t understand buying coasters that are ruined after one use for this much money.
An awesome Wonderground Gallery Main Street Electrical Parade phone case is available at D-Tech on Demand at Marketplace Co-Op.
PhotoPass Studio
The PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs is actively marketing the new Princess Storybooks you can have made.
Apparently, you can also get buttons and magnets with photos made here now.
A World of NEW Disney Items
Moving on to World of Disney, we find many more new items here, including this awesome Disneyland park map throw.
An awesome new coin tray for sale.
Several of the new Twenty-Eight and Main items were available here as well
Expansion on Tokyo Disney Resort’s ‘Disney’s Easter’

Pretty soon, the Disney’s Easter event will be hopping to the Tokyo Disney Resort. A first for the event, guests will be able to encounter the mischevious bunny-eared Usatama egg characters, who bring with them a whole lot of mayhem and springtime fun. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will have their own parade floats in the all new Usatama on the Run! parade debuting as part of this springtime adventure and features Mickey and his pals chasing after the Usatama. A special Usatama dance will entertain guests and allow them to ‘hop in the fun’ during the parade, which is very similar to the ‘Move it Shake it Parade’ at the Magic Kingdom in Florida. Another new thing for the event is the brand new scavenger hunt where guests can use clues and follow the map to find the hidden Usatama. As a special reward for completion, you receive a unique sticker.

Head over to Tokyo DisneySea for the special Fashionable Easter show, performed by our Disney friends at the Mediterranean Harbor as they dance to music from four different ports. You’ll also find plenty of Easter decorations and exclusive merchandise all over the resort, including the must-have item of the season: an adorable bunny-eared Easter “Bunny” Bonnet. All the fun begins on April 4, 2017!
March Magic 2017 Begins with BIG Sale, Get T-Shirts for Horizons, Cranium Command, Mr. Toad, Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror and More!
Disney Parks March Magic 2017 has begun!
As part of the celebration, now an annual tradition, DisneyStore.com has released tons of attraction team t-shirts for you to buy, but in addition to all of the great designs we already showed you, there are even more than ever before!
Even though there is not a Disneyland attraction tournament this year, many Disneyland attractions have shirt and poster designs that you can buy right now.
Also in the mix are two classic EPCOT Center attraction teams, with the Horizons Butlers…
And the Cranium Commanders!
Another thing I love this year is the embellishments on the numbering found on the backlights of the shirt (which is decided by the year that the attraction opened, but the way). As an example, the Carousel of Progress shirt has the logo behind the numbers, while Star Tours has the Starspeeder 3000 zooming by.
Also available this year is this awesome tumbler featuring all of the teams!
The best part of all? They are offering a deep discount if you buy a lot of these designs as t-shirts (I ended up buying over ten myself). So what are you waiting for? START SHOPPING BEFORE THESE ARE GONE!
Which ones will you be buying?
PHOTOS: New Store Called ‘The Dress Shop’ Coming to Disney Springs on March 31st
Today, Disney announced that they are opening up another unique store at Disney Springs. This new store called ‘The Dress Shop’, will be opening up in the ‘Accessories Boutique’ section of the Co-Op Market Place store at Disney Springs.
All of the unique dresses and designs are made to bring back some good old Disney nostalgia. Such designs include an Orange Bird dress, Tower of Terror Bellhop dress, and much, much more. Matching accessories, such as handbags resembling an apple, the White Rabbit, or a Hollywood Tower Hotel suitcase, will also be released.
Guests can view the entire collection when The Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane opens inside the accessories boutique at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs on March 31. Disney will have special activities that day and throughout the weekend to celebrate the new addition, including a trunk show of vintage-inspired apparel.
Select items from this collection will also be released on March 31 at Vault 28 in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort. There will be a limited time offering of select items from the new collection beginning mid-April in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.

PHOTOS, VIDEO, REVIEW: Miss Adventure Falls Brings Family Fun to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
Today, Miss Adventure Falls, a new family raft adventure, opened at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park.
The new attraction is located next door to Crush ‘N’ Gusher, replacing Shark Reef (even though it remains intact behind construction walls). While it is possible that Shark Reef will be replaced with another new addition in the future, this raft ride does not touch the land still occupied by the diving experience that closed last year.
The ride is 2 minutes long, which does include the lift hill portion. I would knock this, but it really is part of the ride as it includes a beautiful scene with an audio-animatronic bird and some other themed elements, which fit the story well. The ride itself is mostly just tubes and half-pipes, but there are a handful of themed set pieces that surround you. While I would have liked more to see here, it still delivers at a storytelling level far above most other attractions at the park. Would I have liked to see more rock work like on the older slides in Typhoon Lagoon? Sure. That being said, the wrecked ship and other ruins strewn throughout the ride are plenty good. The queue also fits well and has a couple of fun pieces to admire.
The ride is made to sit four people per raft, but don’t expect to put four adults in one raft. Two adults and two children can likely sit comfortably, but you may want to split up your party into groups of 2 or 3 if you can (or are allowed, depending how crowded it is).
I honestly loved Miss Adventure Falls. I saw a lot of social media responses saying that the ride looked boring or too tame, but it is supposed to be for families and people of all ages. The park already has Crush ‘N’ Gusher, which is a raft ride containing 3 completely separate paths, basically 3-hight-thrill rides in one. One could even argue that Crush ‘N’ Gusher is a little too intense (in fact, I got a fat lip today when we hit the pool at the bottom of the slide very hard). The park does not have something with rafts that is tamer for everyone visiting, and this fits the bill perfectly. It’s fun, it’s lengthy, it is well-themed, and it is more thrilling than it looks (without flying up and down hills). For thrill seekers, there is still also a selection of slides towards the back of the park as well. Miss Adventure Falls is a good mild thrill to fill out the park’s attraction portfolio.
PHOTOS: Disney Parks March Magic is Back, First Look at All 18 T-Shirt Designs
Back by popular demand, the annual “March Magic” fan vote returns this month with 18 teams inspired by attractions from across all four parks at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney needs your help in deciding which team will be crowned the title of “Ultimate Disney Attraction.” Voting will take place from March 14 to April 3 via the official Walt Disney World Facebook page.
Below, we have a look at the logos for many of the “attraction teams”, some of which you probably have not seen before:

Artwork for the March Magic teams was created by Disney Design Group artists. Guests will find returning favorites including the Future World Phoenicians or last year’s tournament champion, the Hollywood Tower Hotel Bellhops. Disney has also added several new teams such as the Electrical Water Pageant Sea Serpents and the Carousel of Progress Rovers.
The final matchup between the top two attractions will take place on April 3.
Guests will also find graphic T-shirts and posters featuring March Magic 2017 teams on DisneyStore.com from March 14 to April 4, 2017. This year, all items will be carried throughout the duration of the tournament. It appears there are even some not in the tournament, including the Adventureland Swirl and the Cranium Commanders.
We also uncovered what appears to be Disneyland t-shirt designs, but Disney has not said if there is a Disneyland tournament as of yet. Hopefully you will be able to get a hold of these as well…
Who will you be voting for? Which shirts will you buy?

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (March 2, 2017) – Miss Adventure Falls, a new family-friendly water attraction, will begin offering guests of all ages a high-seas journey on March 12 as part of an expansion at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
Miss Adventure Falls brings to life the story of Captain Mary Oceaneer, a treasure-hunting heroine who got stranded with her pet parrot at Typhoon Lagoon years ago by a rogue storm.

In a first for a water attraction in Florida, guests will be transported in their treasure rafts to the top of the slide, passing by Mary’s wrecked ship where her parrot is talking alongside their treasures. From there, this white-water adventure will take them through twists, turns and dips where they will see deep-sea artifacts Captain Oceaneer collected on her many treasure hunts around the world.
With a ride time of two minutes, Miss Adventure Falls will be the longest attraction at Typhoon Lagoon.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon offers water activities suitable for all ages, including signature attractions such as Crush ‘n’ Gusher, a water-coaster that takes riders aboard inflatable rafts on a twisting, turning, up-and-down adventure; Ketchakiddee Creek, a water playground for children ages two to five (under four feet tall) and their parents; and Castaway Creek, where guests hop onto inner tubes for a meandering water tour through a misty rain forest and a hidden grotto.

Not to mention pricey! Disney movies really hold their value even years after they have been released. Part of this may be due to the Disney Vault. The Disney Vault is where Disney movies disappear to when they want to stop production. It makes the movies in the vault hard to find.
I recently discovered the Disney Movie Club which has made expanding my collection easy and so much cheaper! You know those awesome Disney stickers they send you in the mail and then you just end up recycling the rest of the letter? Next time don’t throw the letter away! They actually have a pretty amazing deals not just amazing stickers.

Disney Movie Club is offering a new special for our readers! You can get four Disney Movies for just $1.99 each. This is easily a savings of over $50, depending in the Disney movie titles you pick out. The above movies pictured are just a few of your options for $1.99 movies. Just click on the banner below to find out all the details and sign up today!

Don’t be fooled by the titles we are showing you that this is just for what some people classify as kids movies. The Disney Movie Club also offers up Star Wars movies to their members. Not a Star Wars fan? Maybe Marvel is something your more into. The Club also includes titles like Captain America: Civil War and the Guardian of the Galaxy.
How many movies are in your Disney Collection? Any readers out there managed to have a complete movie collection? I would love to hear your tips.
