PHOTOS, VIDEO: Expansion of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Continues, New Walkways Erected, and Concept Art Gives Opening Date
Just a few months ago, Disney finally announced their massive expansion plans for Disneyâs Coronado Springs Resort, including a 15-story tower. We decided to head back to Coronado again a few days ago to see the latest progress on the work. Here is our third video update on the project showing the progress on the 15-story tower and other resort enhancements:
Entering the resort is still a bit of a war zone, even across the street from the resort where work is taking place.
The old bus stop is now closed, as is the sidewalk in this area.
Concept art adorns the construction walls around the old bus stop.
Meanwhile, they are painting the arrival area (now also the bus stop while construction is going on).
There a lot of different colors happening right now on the columns underneath, it’s unclear just what direction they are heading in with the color scheme.

A closer look at the concept art here, which gives a better idea of exactly where the tower is in relation to everything else.
Work in the marina has begin on what may be the new walkways over the water to better connect all of the resort.
A look over the fences at the former bus stop area.
Now we look at the future home of the 15-story-tower for Coronado Springs.
