New Disneyland D-Street Display
In December, Walt Disney World introduced a new display window at D-Street. It utilized a ton of different Vinylmation in a variety of wacky ways. We just learned that Disneyland has done the same. Take a look.
Fantasia 5: Bacchus and Donkey
On February 22, the 5th of 8 of the Fantasia combos will be released via the Disney Vinylmation Facebook Store.
The surprise here is Eric Caszett is credited with the design of Bacchus and Donkey. We were under the impression Thomas Scott did the entire set. Like the rest, it will retail for $24.95 and be an edition size of 1500.
Spotlight On: Celeste’s Wonder Woman, Genie, Tokidoki
We noticed a few new customs from our friend Celeste and we asked her to share them with us. Here’s what she said. (“Her Wonder Woman piece is amazing. I love the details, including the lasso!”-MC)
“I’d thought I share a few customs I’ve been working on for the last few months. First is Wonder Woman,she was made as a Christmas present for a very special gal. When finally revealed I was overjoyed by the wonderful response from everyone.
Another favorite I had the pleasure of creating is a Tokidoki inspired custom and I loved how this came out.
A new series I hope to finish over the next month or so is series 2 of light up customs. The first series was all princesses and the second one I’m calling “Spellbound”, and it will be a magic based theme. It will include some of the most famous and infamous characters. Here’s a sneak peek of one of the figures that will be included in the series, Genie!!

PHOTOS: All-Star Sports Resort Food Court Re-Opens with New Look & Menu
The End Zone food court at Disney’s All-Atar Sports Resort closed in the Summer for a major overhaul and finally reopened this week just in time for the busy holiday season. Some major changes were made to the 19-year-old restaurant to bring it up to par with places like Landscapes of flavor at Disney’s Art of animation Resort:
New menu boards and plenty of new items, like the create your own “chicken burger”, as well as the gelato and smoothies just like you can find at Landscapes of Flavor
Alcoholic beverages
Drink stations
Rapid Refill can be found here as well
The seating area was completely remodeled
Artwork inspired by the new Mickey Mouse cartoons is used all around the seating area with the characters playing sports
A lot of the old menu remains, but there are also a lot of new offerings
Grandstand Spirits got a new sign

2014 Pins (Including “A Piece of SpectroMagic History”) Previewed at WDW Trade Night
The final WDW trade night of 2013 took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports a few days ago and Disney’s merchandise team was gracious enough to give us a peek at some 2014 pins! While many of these we had previously seen at Reflections of Evil, there were a few new ones and in many cases we were able to obtain new release info and series details. Here are some of the highlights.
After taking 2013 off, the new year will see a series of Piece of WDW History… but with a twist. All 12 pins released will be a part of SpectroMagic History!!! Ah, I can hear the sweet music now.
The first two pins will be released in February, then each subsequent month should see a single pin released. Each pin will retail for $19.95 and have an edition size of 2500.
There is no exact date set for the first WDW Trade Night of 2014, but we do know Jessica Rabbit will have the honor of being the face of the first PTN Pin. And it has an expected release in February.
Eau de Magique, the 2014 WDW/DLR Pin of the Month series will begin in January. They are perfume bottles based on the Disney Princesses. Mulan will be in January, followed by Cinderella in February and Aurora in March. Each pin will retail for $15.95 and have an edition size of 2000. Also of interest, the pin card will be scented. January’s is rose scented. No word on if each month will be different.
The Flower and Garden Festival in March will bring one of the best overall crops of pins to Epcot I have seen. I especially love the Cars topiaries outside Test Track with themed dangles.
Next year, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction will open in New Fantasyland. Of course there will be pins to celebrate the occasion. We knew about the mystery set with attachable mine carts and we also knew about the mine cart pin that swayed back and forth, but now we know more on how they will be sold. The swaying pin is Open Edition and will be sold separately from the set. The mystery pin set will be sold in boxes of 2 pins for $13.95.
There are a variety of Limited Edition pins coming out in February and March 2014.
LOVE Phineas and Ferb!
That DVC pin is the first in a series of character themed suitcase pins. They all hinge open to reveal the character on vacation.
This pin celebrates Dapper Days, an unofficial fan event held at Disneyland each year. Last year, Disney released a pin for the event that was exclusive to DLR, this year, the pin will be released at both parks. I do absolutely adore the design. And I had to pick up last year’s too. It featured Mickey and Goofy as Dapper Dans.
Next, is a look at some open edition pins.
In an exciting move, Disney is bringing some open edition pins previously exclusive to Disneyland Paris, to the states for release.
Lastly, just a couple updates about some pins that were not previewed, but are schedule for January.
I love the 2014 dated artwork, inspired by Mary Blair. This is one of those semi jumbo pins.

VIDEO: Disney Interactive Launches New “Hidden Worlds” Game
Disney Interactive has launched a new fully-connected experience on Facebook, iOS and Android that features iconic scenes from beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios films.
Disney Hidden Worlds is a free-to-play hidden object adventure that allows players to interact with nostalgic scenes from Beauty & the Beast, Tangled and Aladdin, with many more Disney animated films to come. The adventure is able to sync a game across Facebook, iOS and Android, allowing players to continue their game on all their mobile devices.
In Disney Hidden Worlds, you can enter a world of imagination where Disney stories come to life. But when imagination goes awry a mysterious Villain is created, bringing darkness and chaos to the created Kingdoms. Crucial objects have gone missing from each story and it is up to the players, along with their guide Chrona, to search iconic Disney scenes for components, craft the missing objects, and restore each character’s “happily ever after.”

Lineup For 30th Annual “Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade” Released
Disney and ABC-TV today released the star-studded lineup for the 30th annual rolling of the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, which will air on Christmas morning.
This year, Neil Patrick Harris will host the telecast from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida while Nick Cannon will host the telecast from Disneyland Resort. Cannon hosted last year’s Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Joining Harris and Cannon as a special correspondent will be lifestyle journalist and co-anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America, Lara Spencer.

The 30th annual special will air nationwide Christmas morning at 10:00 a.m. EST and 9:00 a.m. CST, MST and PST on ABC-TV, as well as airing in Canada on CBC Network and across the world on the American Forces Network.
The telecast from Disneyland Resort in California will feature Mary J. Blige singing yuletide carols from her new album, A Mary Christmas, a duet by American Idol season 6 winner Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo, as well as special performances by Demi Lovato, the cast of Teen Beach Movie and Dove Cameron. Walt Disney World Resort’s telecast from Florida will feature a gleeful rendition of Let Me Love You by Grammy Award-winning R&B artist Ne-Yo, along with star-studded sounds by English-Irish boy band The Wanted, Italian vocal trio Il Volo, American Idol season 12 champion Candice Glover and more.

Christmas spirit will come to life as Mickey and the gang help celebrate this pixie-dusted season with holiday friends. Classic Disney and Pixar characters will spread joy and cheer from festive floats and merry marches at Disneyland Park in California and the Magic Kingdom Park in Florida.
Although characters and floats are subject to change, this year’s parade is scheduled to feature:
- Mickey and Minnie welcome the season aboard the Christmas tree float with their pal, Duffy the Disney Bear;
- Elsa and Anna, from Disney’s hit animated film Frozen, make their holiday debut as they join a royal court down Main Street, U.S.A.;
- Belle and Beast join in the regal procession in a holiday tale as old as time along with Princesses Cinderella, Tiana, Aurora, Ariel, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Merida, Snow White and Mulan accompanied by Prince Naveen, Prince Phillip, Prince Charming, Prince Eric, Flynn Rider and Aladdin;
- It’s a winter wonderland with the Disney ducks! Everyone’s favorite nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, arrive on a Ski Shoppe Float followed by Mr. Bah Humbug himself, Scrooge McDuck;
- Donald and Daisy celebrate in style aboard a chalet trailed by a sprinkling of holiday magic from dazzling ice skaters;
- A classic Disney holiday parade wouldn’t be complete without Goofy, Pluto, and their furry woodland friends, Chipand Dale;
- Pixie dust and Christmas magic will join Tinker Bell, Peter Pan and Wendy as they “think of the happiest things” this season;
- Toy Story stars Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Bullseye and Mr. Potato Head take the season to infinity and beyond;
- Celebrate time off from school with Monster University students Sully, Mike, Terry, Squishy, Art and Roz, then cruise down the lane with Cars stars Lightning McQueen, Mater and more;
- Santa Claus is coming to town! Hearts of young and old will be overjoyed when they see the jolly man in the famous red suit coming down the happiest street in America – Main Street, U.S.A.

Tortuga Tavern Offering Buffet Test During Busy Holiday Weeks
Tortuga Tavern at the Magic Kingdom is running a dinner buffet from December 21st until January 4th as a test. Guests… and pirates… can tuck into an all-you-care-to-enjoy dinner buffet with island flavors at this Adventureland eatery for a limited time only!
Until January 4, favorites such as captain Jack’s chicken breast, Barbosa’s braised beef, rosemary – garlic pork, banana leaf-baked mahi mahi with mango chutney, Caribbean-spiced sweet potato wedges, refreshing salads, and assorted desserts will be served.

New Disney Dollars Featuring Magic Kingdom Mountains Released Today
A new Disney mountains series of Disney Dollars will be available beginning Monday, Dec. 16. A limited supply will be sold at select locations across the Walt Disney World Resort:
- All Guest Relations locations located in the theme parks and Downtown Disney Marketplace
- Concierge and front desk locations at Resorts
- Information desk at the World of Disney store at the Downtown Disney Marketplace
The new bills feature some of the Disney mountains: Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain.
