Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar® winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe® nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; six-time Tony Award® winner Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, the wardrobe; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Directed by Oscar® winner Bill Condon from a screenplay by TBD based on the 1991 animated film, the film is produced by Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman with eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards® (Best Original Score and Best Song) for the 1991 animated film, providing the score, which will include new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as several new songs written by Menken and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice. “Beauty and the Beast” will be released in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2017.

“Star Wars: Episode VIII” Has Finished Filming

DR

“Star Wars: Episode VIII” has completed all of it’s filming and principal photography and now all that is left is the editing process; John Williams scoring the film and finally the addition of all of the special effects from Industrial Light And Magic.

That seemed to go really fast! Other than The Millennium Falcon and some long distance shots of sets and characters, we haven’t seen much that was leaked to the press but hopefully that will change this weekend.

“Star Wars Celebration” starts this Friday, July 15th! We are definitely getting a new trailer for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” but I’m sure we will also learn some more about “Episode VIII”. I am hoping that we might get a teaser trailer, a title for the movie, some official photos and a synopsis.

“Star Wars: Episode VIII” opens December 15th, 2017!

One familiar face joining the team is Gamora’s sister, Nebula (Karen Gillan), who was on Thanos and Ronan’s side the last time we saw her. Also joining the team is Yondu Udonta(Michael Rooker), who was Peter Quill’s captor as a boy and a reluctant aid in taking down Ronan’s army. The never before seen new member is a character called Mantis, who will be played by actress Pom Klementieff.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

VIDEO: First Look At “Star Wars Rebels: Season 3”; Grand Admiral Thrawn Is The New Baddie!

cdcdcs

The first trailer for “Star Wars Rebels: Season 3” was unveiled today at Star Wars Celebration. Lots of things coming this season!

  • First we have the debut of Grand Admiral Thrawn who was a great villain that originated first in the Star Wars expanded universe. The Thrawn Trilogy, written by Timothy Zahn, was one of the first books written after The Original Trilogy came to a close on screen. Thrawn is best known for being “the heir to the Empire” after the events of Return Of The Jedi. That is really good news for fans because now Grand Admiral Thrawn is canon to the Star Wars Universe. He wasn’t a few weeks ago.
  • Ezra has gotten a haircut and seems to be still working with Darth Maul to possibly combine the Dark and the Light sides of The Force. New green light saber after having his blue one destroyed by Darth Vader.
  • Wedge Antilles as a TIE Fighter pilot? Huh?
  • Kanan has a full grown beard and now has a helmet due to his blindness. Helmet has to go.
  • Stormtroopers with jet packs. Or Madaloreans that serve The Empire.
  • Our first look at Y-Wings in Rebels.
  • Sabine wielding a darksaber! And of course, new color hair.

This is already looking better than Season 2!

Coming this fall to Disney XD!

A reimagining of Disney’s cherished family film, “Pete’s Dragon” is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon. “Pete’s Dragon” stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley, Wes Bentley, Karl Urban, Oona Laurence and Oscar® winner Robert Redford. The film, which is directed by David Lower, is written by Lowery & Toby Halbrooks based on a story by Seton I. Miller and S.S. Field and produced by Jim Whitaker, p.g.a., with Barrie M. Osborne serving as executive producer.

For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley). Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliott. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliott seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.

Disney’s “Pete’s Dragon” opens in U.S. theaters on August 12, 2016.

A new international trailer for “Moana” has been released and in it we see a very young Moana interacting with magical ocean waves.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ljik3zsGNF4

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”), “

Moana” sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.
