Disney Mix is a new app that lets people connect and socialize in new ways. Designed with younger audiences in mind, Disney Mix is a family friendly social hub where kids can chat, play, and create with their friends. As for parental controls, Disney’s Club Penguin team has created a system that filters out inappropriate content and offers options to block and report any undesired content.
Users can create their own avatars in the app and then add various friends and Disney related groups using their Disney accounts. Users can also create and share memes with plenty of Disney related filters and options. Various games have also been implemented within the app that allow you to play without ever even leaving the chat room.
Disney Mix is available now for the App Store and Google Play. The app will receive regular updates with features like video sharing coming in the near future.
It appears that Disney cancelled two Epic Mickey spin-offs in 2012 before closing developer Junction Point. Unfortunately, this would not go on to be an isolated incident (R.I.P. Disney Infinity).

The first game was titled Epic Donald, and it seems like it would have been similar to Epic Mickey, only featuring Donald Duck as the main character. Concept art for the game was revealed by Disney comic artist Patrick Block, who posted the images and answered questions regarding the game on the Assembler Games forums.
“In 2012 I had the very great pleasure and honor of working with Warren Spector and Junction Point on the follow up to Disney’s Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey II,” said Block on the forums. “The game was to feature Donald Duck, Duckburg, and the associated classic world clan. I worked hard on a “Carl Barks” based Duckburg, pulling scenes of the town from his comics and doing my best to keep a 1950’s feeling spirit about the game world.”
The game was ultimately cancelled due to Disney’s shift to mobile gaming. It is too bad that we never got to see this game, though in all fairness, we did get Disney Infinity the following year.

The second game was titled Epic Disney Racers, and would have been a kart racer that featured a similar two character system akin to Mario Kart: Double Dash. Little else was known about this game, and few pieces of art exist for the game, but one can only imagine how cool it could have been.
Think iSpy, but in Zootopia. Players will help Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde discover items at various crime scenes, then use their findings to arrest criminals. The game is free-to-play and offers many unlockables that reward players as they progress.
Zootopia Crime Files: Hidden Object is available now on the App Store, Google Play, Amazon, and Windows.
We finally have our first look at Lumiere, played by Ewan McGregor, and Cogsworth, played by Ian McKellen, in the upcoming live action version of the Disney animated classic, “Beauty And The Beast”! Definitely looking much better than I expected!
“Gaston’s Tavern” with Luke Evans as Gaston and Josh Gad as Le Fou looks like the classic scene right out of the original:
It looks like our first look at Lumiere and Cogsworth was just the start of things to come as we are now seeing our first look at Dan Stevens as the Prince after the Beast transforms back to human form. Again, they are remaining very faithful to the Disney animated classic.
Here is a first look at some concept art of Belle, Gaston and Mrs Potts from the live action version of Disney’s animated classic, “Beauty And The Beast”. A special thank you has to go out to Mac (@maconodom) who has really been on a role with such amazing images from “Beauty And The Beast”.
This appears to be additional concept art in the background of Mrs. Potts and Chip, The Wardrobe and The Footstool:
It premiered exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con, now everyone can see what Thor was up to while the rest of the Avengers were battling each other in MARVEL’S CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.
Star Wars Superfans #GoRogue to Reveal New Toy Line
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” toys unveiled in series of original stop-motion animated shorts debuting online today
Launch heralds global UGC contest celebrating fan content, creativity and storytelling
A team of Star Wars superfans today revealed the new toy line for the highly anticipated “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” movie via a series of fan-made animated shorts launching on the Star Wars YouTubechannel. As part of a competition in collaboration with creative network Tongal,a team was assembled to write, direct and produce original, fan-made stop-motion shorts starring key toys from the new line to kick off a global UGC contest that asks fans to share their own “Rogue Stories.”
“These fan-created shorts are a tribute to the incredible content that the Star Wars community posts online every day,” said Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media. “The Go Rogue campaign was designed with Star Wars fans in mind – we want them to be front and center in the run up to ‘Rogue One’ by imagining and creating their own Rogue Stories.”
When Star Wars news breaks, many fans worldwide react by sharing their own videos online. According to new research, fans posted over 838,000 pieces of Star Wars-relatedcontent on YouTube in the past year alone, which is more than 2,296 per day and nearly 96 per hour. Star Wars fan-generated content is also incredibly popular, accruing more than 16.3 billion views in the last year – equivalent to everyone in the world viewing at least two fan-created videos.
The global contest, which kicks off September 30, invites fans to share their own short stories or skits set in a galaxy far, far away… Winning entries from around the globe will be chosen by a panel including “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” director Gareth Edwards. Beginning September 30, teen and adult fans can enter the Go Rogue contest on StarWars.com/GoRogue. In addition to the global contest on starwars.com, in the U.S. and parts of Canada, kids 8-12 can participate on Disney.com/MyRogueStory. Winners will be invited to Lucasfilm in San Francisco to attend a screening of “Rogue One,” and see their short story on the big screen.
The fan-created shorts showcasing the new line of “Rogue One” toys for the first time launches on the Star WarsYouTube channel today, with new installments rolling out through September. The team was lead by James DeJulio at Tongal, and the series was written by Kevin Ulrich and brought to life by stop-motion animators and directors Dan MacKenzie and Tucker Barrie. The stories follow the adventures of “Rogue One” toys from Hasbro, LEGO, FUNKO, JAKKS Pacific, Mattel and Disney Store as they try to track down the building instructions to the LEGO Star Wars Death Star set which have been misplaced by the Empire.
“I’ve been a Star Wars fan my whole life so this is a dream project,” says James DeJulio, co-founder of Tongal. “It’s been amazing to see what an inspiration Star Wars has been to so many members of our creative community, whether that’s coming up with their own Star Wars storylines, or playing out scenes with Star Wars toys at home with their kids. I’m excited to share this first ‘Rogue Story’ with the world and hope it inspires other fans to share theirs.”
Fans can pre-order a handful of select items seen in the “Rogue Stories” beginning September 2 at mass retailers, Disney Store locations and disneystore.com. The full range of new “Rogue One”and Star Wars products will be available globally starting on September 30. Join the global #GoRogue conversation on social.
Alright, I am officially convinced that Disney is using the cuteness of Tsum Tsums to take over the world. Marvel Tsum Tsum is out now for iOS and Android users, and beware, this game manages to make you believe super heroes are adorable.
Developed by NHN PlayArt Corp., this little match-three puzzle game plays very similarly to the Disney Tsum Tsum app that has been out for a while now. However in this game, you get to play as all your favorite Marvel super heroes including Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Spider-Man, etc.
Of course the game has all the classic hooks of a mobile game. Play to unlock more missions, unlock tons of new characters, be tempted to make in-app purchases. It’s been done before, but it is still a lot of fun. Marvel Tsum Tsum also features a multiplayer battle mode, where players can team up to fight little chibi variants of Marvel villains.
The game is free to download and is available right now in the United States and Canada on both the App Store and Google Play.

We also get our first look at Darth Vader from “Rogue One” in Pop form. As expected, he looks very close to what we are all used to and especially close to what we have seen in “Star Wars: A New Hope”.
