Our returning favorites are Starlord (Chris Pratt), Gomora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and what looks like Baby Groot (Vin Diesel).

One familiar face joining the team is Gamora’s sister, Nebula (Karen Gillan), who was on Thanos and Ronan’s side the last time we saw her. Also joining the team is Yondu Udonta(Michael Rooker), who was Peter Quill’s captor as a boy and a reluctant aid in taking down Ronan’s army. The never before seen new member is a character called Mantis, who will be played by actress Pom Klementieff.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

PHOTOS: Disney Infinity Miniature Figures Were Being Worked On

Disney Infinity would have possibly had miniature figures based on NPC characters from the game.

News comes from the latest episode of the Inside Infinity podcast, where Will Kelley and Steven Operach were joined by Disney Infinity artist Thomas Estrada. You can watch the video version of the podcast below, many more fun bits of information were provided.

https://https://youtu.be/Kmi2HhqdNiU

Though it is unclear what role these miniature figures would have played, we do have a concept of what they would have looked like.

img_5024.jpgDisney-Infinity-Minifigures

Perhaps these figures would not have made it into the game at all. They were never official by any means, but they were far enough along that they had this awesome concept art.

It is believed that perhaps Disney would have used the figures purely as collectables for those who wanted the toys, but did not necessarily want to play the game. This would have been a similar concept to Disney’s popular Tsum Tsum plushes, or their Funko Pop line of Disney licensed characters.

Three More Cancelled 12-Inch Disney Infinity Figures Shown

We now have images of three more of the cancelled 12-inch premium figures that were in development for Disney Infinity.

Thanks again to Infiniteer Adventures for digging up and sharing all the latest news on these cancelled Disney Infinity plans. Just as a reminder, these figures were going to have unique moves and animations separate from their standard figure counterparts. These figures also would have lit up on various places.

The Darth Vader one looks a lot more menacing that the regular Darth Vader figure. I imagine this figure would have lit up on the lava base and throughout the lightsaber.

The premium Elsa figure looks like a huge improvement over the 1.0 Elsa figure. She is noticeably wearing her outfit from Frozen Fever rather than her dress from the film. The cape of her dress would have looked so pretty glowing, but it seems like we will just have to “Let it Go” seeing as plans have been scrapped.

Finally there is the Buzz Lightyear premium figure. Alright, this one is just straight up awesome. It is clear that the blue streak coming from action wing pack would have been the part that lit up. Buzz Lightyear could have benefitted so much from all the improvements of a 3.0 figure. It is a shame that we will never get our hands on this one.

VIDEO: First Look At “Star Wars Rebels: Season 3”; Grand Admiral Thrawn Is The New Baddie!

cdcdcs

The first trailer for “Star Wars Rebels: Season 3” was unveiled today at Star Wars Celebration. Lots of things coming this season!

  • First we have the debut of Grand Admiral Thrawn who was a great villain that originated first in the Star Wars expanded universe. The Thrawn Trilogy, written by Timothy Zahn, was one of the first books written after The Original Trilogy came to a close on screen. Thrawn is best known for being “the heir to the Empire” after the events of Return Of The Jedi. That is really good news for fans because now Grand Admiral Thrawn is canon to the Star Wars Universe. He wasn’t a few weeks ago.
  • Ezra has gotten a haircut and seems to be still working with Darth Maul to possibly combine the Dark and the Light sides of The Force. New green light saber after having his blue one destroyed by Darth Vader.
  • Wedge Antilles as a TIE Fighter pilot? Huh?
  • Kanan has a full grown beard and now has a helmet due to his blindness. Helmet has to go.
  • Stormtroopers with jet packs. Or Madaloreans that serve The Empire.
  • Our first look at Y-Wings in Rebels.
  • Sabine wielding a darksaber! And of course, new color hair.

This is already looking better than Season 2!

Coming this fall to Disney XD!

“I’m Out in Those Woods Every Day”

A reimagining of Disney’s cherished family film, “Pete’s Dragon” is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon. “Pete’s Dragon” stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley, Wes Bentley, Karl Urban, Oona Laurence and Oscar® winner Robert Redford. The film, which is directed by David Lower, is written by Lowery & Toby Halbrooks based on a story by Seton I. Miller and S.S. Field and produced by Jim Whitaker, p.g.a., with Barrie M. Osborne serving as executive producer.

For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley). Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliott. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliott seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.

Disney’s “Pete’s Dragon” opens in U.S. theaters on August 12, 2016.

VIDEO: New International Trailer For “Moana” Introduces Baby Moana

sdsscsd

A new international trailer for “Moana” has been released and in it we see a very young Moana interacting with magical ocean waves.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ljik3zsGNF4

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”), “

Moana” sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.
