VIDEO: First Look at New Spider-Man Series Coming to Disney XD

Disney XD’s Ultimate Spider-Man series comes to an end this week, but you can get a look at the new Spider-Man series coming this Summer right now.

 width=

After the final episode of Ultimate Spider-Man airs on January 7, Disney XD will start showing a teaser for the new series. Thanks to IGN, we actually have access to that trailer now, which you can watch by clicking on this link.

Similar to the new DuckTales teaser, not much is shown, but you do get a look at Spidey’s new suit. Judging by the costume alone, it looks like the new show will sport a more classic looking Spider-Man. It will be interesting to see if the show takes a more classic approach, or a more modern one with the addition of various Spider-Man characters such as Miles Morales, and Spider-Gwen.

‘Girl Meets World’ Canceled After 3 Seasons

After 3 seasons and 69 episodes, the Disney Channel sitcom Girl Meets World has been canceled.

The spin-off to the popular ’90s show Boy Meets World has failed to reach the desired ratings needed to keep the show afloat.

The announcement was made Wednesday night on Twitter by the show’s writers.

The first Tweet was followed up with the statement below:

I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty. Please watch our January episodes. We leave you with three incredible souvenirs of a show we couldn’t be more proud of. As I look back I can tell you with absolute certainty – We gave you our best.

Girl Meets World follows the story of Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard) as she learns life lessons along with her friends that are taught to them by her father, Cory Matthews. The show features original Boy Meets World actors Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel.

The show has run for 69 episodes, but still has three more episodes left that will air throughout January. Girl Meets World‘s final episode will air on Friday, January 20 at 6p.m. ET on Disney Channel.

“Rogue One’s” Saw Gerrera Set To Appear On “Star Wars Rebels”

It looks like one of the characters from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will be making the crossover from movie to animated television when Saw Gerrera joins the cast of “Star Wars Rebels: Season 3”!

According to Making Star Wars:

Rebels Reactions Podcast discovered a pretty awesome Star Wars Rebels poster at Toys R Us, the poster reveals for the first time, Rebels Rogue One connection. Saw Gerrera is featured on the poster. This is the first time we see Saw in Star Wars Rebels.

I for one am very excited about this. Mon Mothma tells Jyn in Rogue One that Saw was a problem for the Rebellion and that’s why they weren’t working together anymore, so I would imagine we will see that falling out in Rebels.  We will see Saw in the second half of Rebels Season 3 where he will lead a investigation on Geonosis.

That’s So Raven Spin-Off Coming to Disney Channel

Today on ABC’s The View, Raven-Symoné announced that she is working with Disney Channel to create a new That’s So Raven spin-off series.

https://https://youtu.be/gt46lfffXrg

Symoné will be producing the show, as well as staring in it. She will reprise her role as Raven Baxter, who is now a divorced mother with two children, one of which has just discovered her psychic abilities akin to those of her mom’s.

Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff (Best Friends Whenever) are also set to produce, and casting is taking place now. As of right now, Raven is the only confirmed return character, though the show is in the earlier stages of planning, so we will see more announcements over time.

That’s So Raven was one of Disney Channel’s most successful sitcoms and ran from 2003-2007. After the show ended, a less successful spin-off titled Cory in the House aired, which focused on Raven Baxter’s younger brother living in the White House.

The official name for the new show is still pending, and Symoné has confirmed that she will be leaving The View by the end of the year to work on the new show.
