Disney Store Online Update 4/1/11

Update: 4/2/11 As of Midnight, the Park 6 figures and combo topper never made it on the site. The Vinylmation Events page had had them scheduled for a online release on the 1st, but that was deleted late this week. Who knows when they will appear online, Juniors 3 was supposed to be online weeks ago.

4/1/11 Looks like Disney had a few Villains still lurking around the warehouse and decided to capture them and put them up online over the past day. According to @ilenelandestoy (11pm EST) “the (9″ Villains Maleficent, Jumba and Julius) combo has been online all day. I bought some this morning.” We also had this tweet from @vitto118 “as of 115am no park 6, (9″ Villains) Jumbo and Julius avail and malificent is sold out. More tron as well on disneystore.com.” Then messages from @volleytwin and @mjr1551 have it seem that at least Jumba and Julius were available until about 8am EST. Also Brad from Texas emailed us this screenshot:

Screenshot from Disney’s Online Store showing the 9″ Villains available for purchase again.
Also of Note:
Urban 6 has been removed from the website. As of yesterdays post, the Urban 6 singles and Combo Pack were available. In fact, we got this tweet from @legendpop “you guys listed on the site that urban combo was available on disney shop, but unfortunately still can not be added to cart.”
TRON: Legacy – $9.95
6 figures now available: Clu, Rinzler, Young Kevin Flynn, Old Kevin Flynn, Jarvis and Quorra
Nerds Rock! – $9.95
Chip, Pluto, Daisey, Mickey, Donald and Goofy
Vinylmation Series 2 Jrs are back online. Singles are $8.95

Kali Kali Oxen Free- New Animal Kingdom Vinylmation

Also released today is the Kali River Rapids figure. This ride is from Animal Kingdom, which makes sense because it was a reward for reaching 9,800 followers on the Vinylmation Facebook. (1998 is the year Animal Kingdom opened). Originally the name for this ride was Tiger Rapids Run, which makes a lot of sense since this figure has a very tiger-y feel to it. (Hopefully no tiger blood though!) If this vinylmation keeps form with the other WDW figures we have learned about, it will be part of a park set in the future.

What Future Vinylmation Flags Would You Like to See?

Here at DV, we like to read things into Disney’s words. Hey, it’s fun to speculate. Well today, the Disney Store posted a short Q & A with Disney’s Vinylmation Product Developer Donald Ferro. The post points to more Flags to come! The first series of Vinylmation Flags was a 12 figure set consisting of all the countries in the EPCOT World Showcase plus Brazil.

Ya, they say “may”, but its fun to talk about. So what countries would you like to see in the next round of Vinylmation Flags? How about if they do states?

Thousand Evilos Woods

Evilos (the maker of the Mickey in Carbonite figure) is back with a custom set of Pooh and his friends. I really like the gold color of Pooh and the writing of his name on the shirt is wonderful! Also amazing is the mohawk for Eeyore. I’ve always identified with Eeyore for some reason. Check out this set at his site evilos.com. Also check out all his other customs, like the aforementioned Mickey in Carbonite and his cool take on TRON. (Also note the Evil Pooh in the background. I believe this is his trademark, making character’s evil, and where he gets his name.) Right now you can pick up Pooh for $50 and Eeyore is $80. No word on Tigger as of yet. Thanks Evilos, your customs really raise the bar for everyone else!

Park 6 Explained

Update: 3/28/11 Added pictures of the Chaser and all 4 variants; Donald (2) and WDW Road Sign (2). Learned of a WDW Road Sign variant with “Animal Kingdom” instead of “Magic Kingdom”. Learned the price should be $12.95. Found out Park 6 was already released, and possibly pulled back off the shelves at Disneyland Paris. Added link to the 9″ Park 6 figures. Big thanks to everyone who tweeted, commented, and emailed us about the news. Every once in a while our “real” jobs get in the way of 24/7 monitoring. But thanks to all our fans we always have someone close to the news! Thank you. Merci.

Update: 3/22/11 Release date of April 1st is confirmed at WDW Trading Event and on the Events pages at the Disney Vinylmation Blog. Added picture of the Matterhorn 9″. Added picture on set on display at WDW Trading Event.

Update: 3/9/11 Release date removed from the official site. April 1st now only a possible release date.

Update: 3/8/11 Release date announced as April 1st (no joke… hopefully). Added turn around pictures.

Update: 1/21/11 Added images from the 1/1/11 blog announcements from Disney. Includes, Primevil Whirl and Runaway Brain Mickey Combo Topper.

1/8/10 From the Disney Pin Site we get a sneak peak at the up coming Park 6 vinylmation series. Note: These pins should tell us some of the figures in the series, but they are usually a mixture of 3″ and 9″.

Park 6 News and Chaser: de la Fance

Our friend Aranya sent in pics of the Park 6 series including the chaser (pictured below). She picked them up at Disneyland Paris. We have heard rumors that Park 6 has been pulled off the shelf at DLP until the US April 1 release date. Other news about Park 6 include the visual confirmation of a Wet Paint Donald variant (you can see that figure here) and the textual confirmation (no pic yet) of the WDW Road Sign variant with “Animal Kingdom” instead of “Magic Kingdom” on the sign. Also of note, is the 12.95 Euro price tag on the figures. All indications point to a $12.95 US price tag, as past releases have been the same “number” price, just either in Euros or USD. Meaning collectors in France, pay a bit more for their Vinylmation.

Click on the Mystery Chaser below for a picture of the Park 6 chaser.

Donald Spills All Colors of Paint in the Park 6 Variant

Our friend Aranya, over in France, got her hands on the Park 6 set when they released it last Friday (along with the TRON and Sushi set). In it she found this cool variant of the Wet Paint Donald. Makes a lot of sense right? Aranya says they cost 12.95 Euros. Could this be a direct comparison to the price here?
