Vanity Fair has given us our first look at the stars of “Avengers: Infinity War” with 4 exclusive covers. Not only that, but Vanity Fair reveals “The Secrets Of The Marvel Universe” as well as additional photos of every hero that will appear in “Avengers: Infinity War is a very special cover story. Check out the cover story and additional images right here.

It seems like the first trailer where we see all of the Avengers assemble to take on Thanos is imminent. I’d say The Force is strong with this one. Note: Actually The Russo Brothers are hinting that the trailer may come sooner than that by posting the number “3” on their Twitter account. What could the “3” mean?

The Heroes Assemble To Face Thanos In “Avengers: Infinity War”

Marvel made it’s presence know this year at San Diego Comic Con. And similar to this year’s D23, some trailers and images were made public, and some were not.

The same trailer that was shown at D23 for “Avengers: Infinity War”, was shown to participants at the Infinity War panel resulting in thunderous applause. Unfortunately, this amazing trailer was for participants of the panel only, and we still will have to wait until November before we get our first look at Infinity War. But, do a search on YouTube and you may be luck enough to find a leaked version floating around. Disney has been vigilant taking them down as quickly as they pop up but it hasn’t stopped those who were able to record the first leak to post it under different accounts.

Marvel did release three beautiful hand drawn posters for “Avengers: Infinity War” and when you put the three posters together they form one huge and amazing image.

Our heroes assemble to take on Thanos and The Infinity Gauntlet!

New Poster Released For “Black Panther”

Marvel debuted a brand new poster for Black Panther where King T’Chala watches over his kingdom of Wakanda.

First Concept Art Shown For “Captain Marvel”; Samuel L Jackson Joins The Cast

Some information regarding Captain Marvel was announced. One thing that we learned is that the movie will take place in the 90’s, meaning that Captain Marvel existed before most of the characters in the MCU. She may not appear on The Infinity War poster shown in the first article, but Captain Marvel will make her debut in “Avengers: Infinity War:. It was also announced that Samuel L Jackson will portray Nick Fury and have an impact on Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). And to make matters even more interesting, Captain Marvel will introduce The Skrulls to the MCU.

“Ant Man And The Wasp” Adds Michelle Pfeiffer, Lawrence Fishburne and Hannah John-Kamen To The Cast; New Poster Released

Here is another situation where Marvel showed a trailer to those present at the “Ant-Man And The Wasp” panel, but we wont be getting it for a long time. Marvel did announce that Michelle Pfeiffer will be playing Janet Van Dyne, Lawerence Fishburne will be playing Dr. Bill Foster (Goliath) and Hannah John-Kamen will be playing Ghost.

Editorial: Way Too Many Heroes In “Avengers: Infinity War”?

While talking recently with Empire, Benedict Cumberbatch confirmed that the next time we will see him as Doctor Strange will be in “Avengers: Infinity War”. For most fans, that was kind of a given, but it’s always nice to hear a bit of confirmation from the actor.

One thing that we know for certain is that “Avengers: Infinity War” is going to have a lot of heroes in it. Although we really dont have official confirmation from Marvel as to which heroes will make the cut, information is starting to slip and I have come up with some very possible candidates as well. 00_the_avengers

The Avengers: Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) The Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Betteny), Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and War Machine (Don Chedale). From this current roster, I would have to say that all of these characters should return with a few possible exceptions.

War Machine – James Rhodes was severely paralyzed in “Captain America: Civil War” and although he was shown learning to walk with the aid of Tony and some advanced technology, I just dont see him coming back.

Thor – We dont know for sure what will happen during the events of “Thor Ragnarok”. For all we know, Thor may not make it out of this one alive. That was Thor’s fate in the comic book adaption. But this movie also appears to be very “loosely” based on that adaption, so I think Thor will somehow make it back in time for Infinity War or the sequel.

The Hulk – Hulk will be joining Thor in “Thor Ragnarok”. How he gets there and if he makes it out alive, or even wants to come back, is something we are going to have to wait and see. It appeared that after “Age Of Ultron”, The Hulk felt that he did more harm than good for The Avengers and went his separate ways. If he is joining Thor in Ragnarok, then he is not in this galaxy anymore and it is possible that this could lead to a “Planet Hulk” movie.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy: Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana) , Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper). Vin Diesel recently let it slip recently that The Guardians Of The Galaxy will be joining the Avengers in “Avengers: Infinity War”. Diesel said, “Now, the Guardians will be included in “Avengers: Infinity War” and that’s incredibly exciting.” It’s a pretty good bet that this will happen even though Marvel hasn’t said anything. But which Guardians? Will it include the newest members that will appear in “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2”? The newest members are Nebula (Karen Gillan), Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff). Again, we wont know for sure what will happen until we see “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2”, but I’m pretty sure we can expect all those that survive and maybe those that dont.

Spider-Man – Marvel and Disney entered into a mutually beneficial agreement that brought Spider-Man (Tom Holland) into the MCU in “Captain America: Civil War” and we will also be seeing Iron Man in “Spider-Man” Homecoming”. I think it is a safer bet that Spider-Man will be in “Infinity War” more so than The Guardians. Marvel has been dying to get Spider-Man in the MCU and now that they have him, “Infinity War” has to be his next movie after “Homecoming”.

Doctor Strange – If Benedict Cumberbatch says it, I believe him. Cumberbatch said the following in Empire, “The logistical challenge of aligning (his) schedule with those of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. To get us all together will be quite something. That’s why this character is being introduced, to open up the next chapter.” We are going to have to wait and see just how powerful Doctor Strange will be when he debuts in his own movie this November but I have a feeling he can be a real game changer. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Doctor Strange is in possession of one of the yet to be found Infinity Stones.

Black Panther – I’d be really surprised if we dont see Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) join the Avengers for “Infinity War”. He demonstrated in “Civil War” just how skillful and powerful he was and in the comics he eventually becomes an Avenger. The only tricky thing is “Infinity War” comes out in May of 2018 and “The Black Panther” comes out in July 2018. I would have liked to have seen “The Black Panther” solo movie first before “Infinity War” so that we could get proper development of his character.

The Winter Soldier – If the Black Panther makes an appearance, I am sure that Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) will be joining him too. When last we saw the Winter Soldier in “Civil War” he was left under the care of The Black Panther and put into cryosleep with hope that the scientists of Wakanda could help find a cure for the trigger words that result in Bucky becoming a killing machine for HYDRA.

Captain Marvel – Brie Larson has been officially cast as “Captain Marvel” but the solo “Captain Marvel” movie does not come out until May 2019, which is a full year after “Infinity War”. Out of all of the questionable heroes, I would say that The Avengers can use her cosmic powers the most, especially when battling against Thanos. Both Spider-Man and Black Panther made their MCU debuts before their own solo movies, so it is possible.

The Netflix Marvel Heroes – This movie is definitely getting pretty crowded now but most fans would love to see as many Marvel heroes as possible. We have Daredevil (Charlie Cox) , Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Iron Fist (Finn Jones) and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). And I guess you can throw in Elektra (Elodie Young) too. Although Marvel has hinted that they would prefer keeping those character separate, anything is possible. The Russo brothers even said they were open to the idea. But kind of a long shot.

Ghost Rider – Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) recently made his debut on “Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD”. There was a time in the comics where he was a pretty big presence in the Marvel Universe but after two failed movies, he faded out of existence. With Marvel getting the rights back from Sony, they are trying to slowly bring him back into the public eye, like what they did with Daredevil and The Punisher. Definitely a long shot but you never know.

The odds of having all of these characters in “Infinity War” are very very high. Now that “Infinity War” will not be a two part movie, it makes the chances even worse. I still have no idea how they are going to be able to lump this story into just one movie. Knowing Disney, they are going to want this movie to come in under 3 hours and I am guessing we will be looking at a 2 hours and 45 minute run time. First of all, Thanos has to acquire all of the Infinity Stones. Right now Thanos has a total of zero, he just has the Gauntlet (or glove that holds them). These Stones are all over the place and two still haven’t been found yet! The Avengers also have to reassemble after the events of “Civil War”. As far as we know, Captain America is no longer Captain America after dropping his shield at the end of the movie. We have no idea what is going to happen with Thor Ragnarok or Guardians Of The Galaxy yet. All of the heroes have to come together and Thanos has to be defeated. That is a lot to squeeze into one movie. Grant it, Marvel never really follows the original comic book stories to the key in their movies. What we know is that the next movie will be called “Avengers: Infinity War” and it will be a stand alone movie. I wish they would have just left it at a two part movie, have the first one called “Infinity Gauntlet” and the second one called “Infinity War”. I will admit that I had doubts that one movie would be enough for the “Civil War” comic book adaption in “Captain America: Civil War” but Marvel proved me wrong.

A few more “slim”possibilities.

Wolverine, The X-Men and The Fantastic Four:

I was kind of optimistic in the beginning of the year that Fox was going to follow Sony’s lead and work with Marvel in which the sharing of their characters would mutually benefit both studios, but now I am not as optimistic.

I did begin to see signs of a possible agreement coming and some possible ice breaking but looks like things are getting cold again..

Marvel allowed Fox to use some of their X-Men characters to be seen in two future X-Men spinoff television series. Fox has the movie rights but still needed Marvel to sign off on a release that would allow fox to develop an X-Men spinoff series. Not only did Marvel sign off on it, but they also posted the news on their own website.
We started seeing some X-Men toys being developed. For years Marvel has been not been marketing X-Men or Fantastic Four merchandise but several X-Men figures were announced at the New York Toy Fair.
The Fantastic Four movie bombed and was considered dead after a dismal box office. Regardless of what Fox may have hinted out, there will never be a Fantastic Four 2 with the cast of the recent reboot. That movie so turned off critics and fans that they will have to wait for a long time before they develop anything ever again.
Last year Hugh Jackman hinted that the final Wolverine movie was going to be an adaption of the popular comic book “Old Man Logan”. “Old Man Logan” is a fan favorite and a great last story for Wolverine. The big problem is that most of the story contains characters who’s rights are held by Marvel. I figured at this point, Marvel had Fox over a barrel. The big villain in the comic book is The Hulk and fans would revolt if it was anyone other than The Hulk in an “Old Man Logan” movie. Unfortunately, filming has wrapped for “Wolverine 3” and although set photos depict an older Wolverine, you can tell that in no way is this an adaption of “Old Man Logan”. The rumor is that the movie will be called “Logan” now.

“The Infinity War” comic book series. Lots and lots of heroes there.

“Avengers: Infinity War” has already begun filming. If by some miracle some Fox characters appear, we better get soon news. Again, we know very little about how close this story will follow the original comic book series and which heroes will show up and how they will fit this story into one movie. My hope is that even though “Infinity War” is apparently going to be a standalone movie, it will end on a cliffhanger, leading us to believe that the “Infinity Gauntlet” story is not over yet and that the next movie will be even bigger and more epic than “Infinity War”.

We should definitely be getting casting news next year, and I am sure we will see most, if not all, of the cast of “Avengers: Infinity War” present at next year’s D23.

After “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”, What Is Next For Joss Whedon?

This is complete speculation on my part, but I am calling it right now, Joss Whedon is going to leave Marvel for either Warner Brothers or Sony.

Over the last few weeks I have been watching and reading interviews with Joss Whedon promoting “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” and he just doesn’t seem very enthusiastic in most of his interviews. In fact he seems to be kind of negative towards Marvel at times. Whedon is contractually obligated to promote the film, but once “Ultron” is released, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear an announcement that he will be doing another superhero movie, just not with Disney and Marvel.

Here are my clues:

He’s not coming back to direct “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2.” I really was expecting to hear that Joss Whedon would be directing “Infinity War,” or at least one of them, but it was recently announced that The Russo Brothers (“Winter Soldier”, “Civil War”) would be directing probably the biggest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s going to be big because not only will the Avengers be in it, but also The Guardians Of The Galaxy and Spider-Man and even more superheroes. Either Disney/Marvel think the Russo Brothers are really that good or they asked Whedon and he said no. It’s more likely the later because although I really enjoyed “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” I wouldn’t bet the farm just on the results of one movie.
Whedon recently came out and said that Edgar Wright’s “Ant-Man” script was the best script that was ever written for a Marvel movie. For those that dont know, Edgar Wright has been attached to Marvel’s “Ant-Man for years. He pushed hard to get this movie made and more than likely we have him to thank that it is coming out. But something happened where Wright and Disney/Marvel disagreed about the direction and future of Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Wright and Disney/Marvel parted ways. Wright has a huge following of comic book fans and most were very upset to hear that he was no longer attached to the project. Whedon said the following, “I thought the script was not only the best script that Marvel had ever had, but the most Marvel script I’d read. I don’t know where things went wrong but I was very sad because I thought, this is a no-brainer. This is Marvel getting it exactly right. Whatever dissonance that came, whatever it was, I don’t understand why it was bigger than a marriage that seemed so right.” For Whedon to come out and say that Wright’s “Ant-Man” script was the best Marvel script he has ever written, to me, was the start of burning his bridges with Marvel.

He recently saw the “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” and gushed like a little girl about it. The trailer was good, but it aint that good. Whedon said,“People with power, who are good, do not always agree and it makes perfect sense for me that (Batman and Superman) would fight. And besides… Batman and Superman are gonna fight! I’m so excited! I’m so excited!” He also said that Superman would destroy all of the Avengers. I’m not going to deny that if I had to choose who would win, I would pick Superman, but I wouldn’t say that while promoting a Marvel property.
He recently said that “Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD” is basically all a dream because Agent Coulson is dead. Whedon said, “Yeah he’s dead. The entire television series is just a fever dream. It’s a Jacob’s Ladder moment he’s having at the point of death, but we don’t give that away until after season seven. And there’s a snow globe. Now I’ve given it away. Bollocks!” I’m sure Marvel and Disney are not happy that he is telling fans that this show is just basically one big waste of time.
He came out and said that he was disappointed that he never got to work with Spider-Man in the Avengers. Spider-Man is Marvel’s most popular character and to many, including me, he is Marvel’s best character. Whedon is a comic book fan and it’s obvious that if he had a choice, this would be his next Marvel movie. Whedon said,“Yeah I’d like to have worked on Spider-Man, he’s the poster child. He’s the first book I read, and I think that’s true for a lot of people. There are so many things I would want to do, even with these characters The Avengers, even with just one of these characters. But the fact of the matter is: they’re doing fine, and I’ve probably got to move on.” He said it right there, he’s moving on. Whedon would be an excellent choice because he is a big Spider-Man fan and I think he would bring back the magic of Peter interacting with J Jonah Jameson and the Daily Bugle.

In all honesty as a comic book fan, I think it would be great if Whedon directed a non Marvel superhero movie. The perfect movie for him to direct would be “Justice League”, but Zack Snyder is directing that one. Whedon gets the team dynamic really well and feel he is best suited for a superhero movie. Whedon also did Firefly and you can tell he works really well with an ensable. If I had to guess, I would say that the one movie that he wants to do is “Spider-Man”, but Sony is still being run by poor management and probably will go with someone less experienced. The other property that he has said that he wants to do is “Batman” but have a feeling that WB will go with either Ben Affleck as director or maybe even Snyder. Which leaves “Superman” and I would love for him to do a “Superman” movie. Whedon could bring back some of the light heartedness that “Man Of Steel” was lacking and some nice colors that are not hidden behind a dark camera filter. Again, this is all speculation on my part but I doubt we will ever see Joss Whedon ever do another Marvel movie again, but he’ll be back again and I’m sure whatever superhero story he tackles, he will do a great job.

“Guardians Of The Galaxy 2” To Introduce Starlord’s Father

In the Guardians Of The Galaxy movie, there was a bit of mystery surrounding Peter Quill’s (Starlord) father. We do see his mother in the beginning and she does mention Peter’s father briefly. Soon after we hear that Yondu was hired by Quill’s father to retrieve Peter from Earth shortly after his mother death. And that’s it.

While being interviewed about the “Guardians Of The Galaxy 2,” James Gunn, director of the first film and the sequel, made the following comments to Vulture.com:

“There’s a lot of stuff I’m excited about in the new movie,” he said. “Listen, I’m still excited about Star-Lord’s character and where he goes. At its heart, Guardians is a story about families, and if the first film was about him and his mother, this is a story about fathers. So it’s exciting to go there.”

So who is Peter Quill’s (Starlord) father?

In the comics, Starlord meets Emperor Jason of the planet Sparta and he reveals that he is Peter’s father. Jason explains that he had crashed on Earth decades earlier and been rescued by Meredith Quill. During the year that he had spent repairing his ship, Jason and Meredith fell in love. When it came time to leave, Jason, for Meredith’s safety, had placed a mindlock on her memories of him, causing her to remember their year together as only a dream.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure they aren’t going with that father story. From the rumors that I have heard, again rumors, more than likely, Starlord’s father will be Adam Warlock.

Adam Warlock is an artificially created human who was born in a cocoon at a scientific complex called The Beehive. The goal of his creators, the Enclave, was to create and subsequently exploit the perfect human. While in the cocoon, he became aware of his creators’ plans for him. He awoke from the cocoon and rebelled. Adam Warlock definitely has a long and unusual history that I am not going to get into but he is also a very prominent character in “The Infinity Gauntlet.” “Guardians Of The Galaxy 2” would be the perfect way to introduce Adam Warlock into the Marvel Cinematic Universe before he is seen in “Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet.” No guarantees, but it seems like the it would all fit perfectly.

“Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 And 2” To Begin Filming Back To Back For 9 Months In Late 2016

Chris Evans recently revealed that the prospective back-to-back shoot for Avengers: Infinity War will take nine months, with production due to start sometime in the “fall or winter of 2016.”

The two-part “Infinity War” will be directed by The Russo Brothers. Marvel has slated part one of “Infinity War” for release on May 4, 2018, with the second installment hitting theaters on May 3, 2019.

Sony To Release A Theatrical Animated “Spider-Man” Movie In 2018

Sony announced recently that there will be an animated “Spider-Man” movie that will hit theaters on July 20, 2018. The movie will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who directed the highly successful “The Lego Movie.”

Sounds good, right? The only issue that concerns me is that Marvel will not be involved with this and the people behind “Amazing Spider-Man 2,” Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal will be producing the movie.

Sesame Street And The Cookie Monster Spoof “The Avengers”

Just in time for the release of “Avengers: Age Of Ultron,” Sesame Street put together a little Avengers spoof featuring the Cookie Monster as The Hulk and a bunch of vegetable loving Muppets as the rest of the Avengers.

I was glad to hear that Don Cheadle was reprising his role as James Rhodes/ War Machine in “Avengers: Age Of Ultron.” Now thanks to Hot Toys and Sideshow Collectibles, we finally get a good look at the new Mark II armor for War Machine.

Official Synopsis For “Captain America: Civil War”

Shooting for “Captain America: Civil War” is scheduled to begin this April. Marvel has released the official synopsis for the film:

Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.

There is definitely a few things to consider. First, how the synopsis is worded. The Avengers are going to do something really messed up in “Age Of Ultron” to have basically the whole world not have any trust in them. From the trailers you can see that The Hulk and Iron Man have a big battle in the middle of a city causing lots of destruction. I think that is part of it but probably the main issue has to be Tony Stark’s creation of Ultron. By doing so, Ultron creates an army looking to either enslave or destroy all of humanity. That he was able to create such a monstrosity probably results in the world not trusting him specifically, but also other super heroes.

In the comics, “Civil War” started slightly differently. A group of heroes called the New Warriors had their own reality TV show and in order to boost ratings they fought with an enemy whose demise resulted in the death of many children. Public opinion was very negative towards all superheroes and the government instituted a superhero registration act that would reveal all of their secret identities. Iron Man was on the side of the government and Captain America was against registration. The two formed opposite sides and became enemies. One hero that was caught in the middle of all of this was “Spider-Man.”

Now that Marvel is able to use “Spider-Man” in it’s movies, it is more than likely that Spider-Man will play a major role in “Civil War.” Even though there has been no official word that Spider-Man will be in the movie version of “Civil War,” most insiders have heard that he will definitely be in the movie. This means that Sony and/or Marvel will have to announce an actor who will portray Peter Parker and Spider-Man in “Civil War” and the upcoming “Spider-Man” solo film and probably fairly soon.

The Russo Brothers Will Direct “Avengers: Infinity: War Parts 1 And 2”

This week The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the Russo Brothers will direct “Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2.” The Russo Brothers directed last year’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and are also back to direct the sequel, “Captain America: Civil War.”

It seems like the Russo Brothers are Marvel’s go to directors now. On top of that, they recently secured a 3 year first look deal with Sony Pictures. My spider sense is tingling and saying that the Russo’s will have some say as to which actor will portray the next Spider-Man. Sony would not have approached the Russo’s if they were not impressed with their work on “Winter Soldier” and it is possible that they may direct a Spider-Man spin off or even be named as the directors of the new Spider-Man movie. When you think about it, they should have ample time between “Civil War” and “Infinity War” to direct the new Spider-man movie. That actually would fit in nicely with their schedule.

Will Captain Marvel Make Her First Appearance in “Avengers: Age Of Ultron?”

Last year we found out that after “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” completed filming that some of the cast were asked back to shoot additional scenes for the movie. This led to a lot of speculation as to what, or who, could they be adding to the film. Back in October, Marvel officially announced the upcoming movies for Phase 3. One movie that was announced and stood out was “Captain Marvel.” Soon after that announcement, we found out about the “Ultron” re-shoots. Latino Review recently posted the following information on Instagram:

Like the information above says, take all this with a grain of salt, but he is right when he says it is within the realm of plausibility that we will see her character sooner than later.

Possible Roster For The Phase 3 “Avengers” Team

This article is SPOILER heavy. Be warned that there are some big revelations, that may or may not be true, regarding the future of the Avengers proceeding the events that occur in “Avengers: Age Of Ultron.”

Screen Rant recently came across some information that reveals what the Avengers could possibly look like after the events of “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”

The Avengers will break up at the end of “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”
The Avengers 2.0 roster will consist of Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Vision and War Machine. They will be led by Captain America and Black Widow.
Thor returns to Asgard and this will set up “Thor: Ragnarok.”
Hulk is missing. Speculation is that he is on the AvQuinjet leaving Earth’s orbit. “Planet Hulk?” Or will he appear in “Guardians Of The Galaxy 2?”
Iron Man is “done.” Not sure if that means he officially quits the team which leads to his role in “Civil War.”
Thor, Hulk and Iron Man will not be in “Infinity War: Part 1” but will return for “Part 2.”
No mention of Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel or Black Panther as being part of The Avengers, yet.
Quicksilver may be dead at the end of “Age Of Ultron.” There are apparently two versions of the script that have leaked and one has him dying but one has him surviving. The rumor has been taking off recently because of the image from the trailer below shows all of the Avengers together battling Ultron’s army except Quicksilver is absent (or maybe he is just so fast that we cant see him).

As an ex New Yorker, I definitely appreciated these beautiful New York City themed covers for some of Marvel’s most popular comics. There will be 15 variant covers released that will showcase various New York City landmarks.

“New York has always been home for the Marvel Universe,” said Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso to The Post. “We were born here 75 years ago. We’re proud to be New Yorkers and we just thought that this was a way to underscore that.”

Rumor: ‘Spider-Man’ Will Make His Marvel Cinematic Universe Debut In ‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 1’

Take this with a very heavy grain of salt. This story was originally posted by Latino Review, which has a decent track record for nailing exclusive stories, but they are not perfect. We still have not heard anything official from the SONY and Marvel Spider-man summit, which is to take place this month, but it sounds like some sort of agreement will be met where Spider-man will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Disney and Marvel will co produce future Spider-man movies with SONY.

According from a reliable source at Latino Review, the Spider-man deal is done. Since this article was written, SONY has denied any kind of deal has occurred but I also doubt that SONY would come out and say, “Yes, that is true,” until they are ready to do so.

Massive SPOILERS ahead concerning the fate of many of the Avengers and Spider-man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Nothing here is confirmed but comes from a reliable source. Do Not Read Unless You Want To Be Spoiled!

Since ‘Captain America: Civil War’ is close to starting production, unfortunately Spider-man will not be in this movie, even though he plays a major role in the comic book.
Andrew Garfield will no longer be Spider-man. Don’t count out Tobey Maguire just yet.
‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ will split up the team at the end. Captain America will lead one team. Iron Man will lead the other team.
In ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ Tony Stark finds out that Bucky (The Winter Soldier) killed his father, Howard Stark.
Black Panther is introduced in ‘Civil War’.
Crossbones, who also appeared in ‘The Winter Soldier’ leading the team in the elevator to try and kill Captain America, kills Captain America this time.
Iron Man is “lost in space” at the end of ‘Civil War’.
Hulk may also be in space. lol Planet Hulk?
Dr. Strange may take over for Captain America and lead Cap’s Avengers team after his death.
‘Thor: Ragnarok’ will kill a lot of Asgardians and have Thor imprisoned.
Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and the Hulk will not be in ‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 1’.
Spider-man is in ‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 1’.
Possible other heroes in ‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 1’ are Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Black Panther, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man, Wasp, Captain Marvel, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jewel/Power Woman, ANY of the New Inhumans, ANY of the classic Inhumans, ANY of the Guardians of the Galaxy and ANY Cosmic Marvel characters Guardians chooses to send to Earth.
Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and Hulk will return for ‘Avengers: Infinty War Part 2’.

This definitely sounds great and if this is all true, part 2 of Infinity War is going to be incredible. Again this has not been confirmed but hope Marvel is heading in this direction.

‘Marvel’s Daredevil‘ Will Premier On Netflix On April 10^th

Marvel Entertainment official announced the premier date for the Netflix series ‘Daredevil’ will be Friday, April 10^th. The poster above was released for the series as well as a small teaser below:

Preview Of Marvel Comics’ ‘Star Wars #1’

Marvel Comics’ ‘Star Wars #1’ came out January 14^th and it sounds like it sold even more than expected. According to Marvel, they sold more than one million issues to retailers. And the final tally for variant covers was 74! A second printing for ‘Star Wars #1’ has already been announced. Basically, anything Star Wars is gold. Marvel and Entertainment Weekly shared with us a special preview of some of the first panels from the first issue.

**Who Is The Mysterious Woman In The New ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Trailer?**

When the new ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ trailer premiered last week the big question on everyone’s mind was who is this woman and where is she? The general consensus is that it could be one of two characters. The first would be the character Hela:

Hela is the Asgardian goddess of death in the Marvel universe. Originally appointed by Odin to rule over the dead in the realms of Hel and Niffelheim, she tried to expand her power to Valhalla, but was defeated by Thor. This led to her embracing the life of villainy and frequently clashing with the God of Thunder and many other Asgardians.

In the second trailer you can see below that Thor is being attacked in what seems to be a similar place to where this woman is and it does look like it could be on Asgard. Also Thor should never have any problem with lightning being the God Of Thunder. So this could be Hela and could lead directly into ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.

The other person that this woman could be is a member of the Dora Milaje, who are the personal bodyguards of the Black Panther. The movie did film in South Africa and from the rumors it does sound as though Wakanda, which is the Black Panther’s kingdom, may be one of the locations in the movie. This could lead up to ‘Captain America: Civil War’, which is supposed to have the first appearance of Black Panther.

I’m kind of hoping it is the former because I think that would be a great way to set up ‘Civil War’ and the future movies. Also in my first story above it would make somewhat sense if the possible spoilers for ‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 1’ were true.

Marvel Entertainment Announces A Slew Of New Movies For The Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 3

Marvel Entertainment held a special event today at the El Capitan Theater announcing so much stuff, I don’t know where to begin!

I would say that the biggest news is that Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans were joined on stage by Chadwick Boseman, who will play the title role in Black Panther. This is an excellent choice! He looks just like the character in the comics and I loved him portraying baseball legend, Jackie Robinson, in “42”. Boseman also portrayed the living legend James Brown in Get On Up.

So lets go down the line of what was announced.

First off Captain America 3 is officially titled Captain America: Civil War. This will be Captain America, Chris Evans, vs Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr., with fate of all of the Marvel superheroes hanging in jeopardy. Civil War was a comic book series that put half of the Marvel superheroes, representing pro registration of superhero identities with the Government against the other superheroes, who felt it was their right to keep their identity a secret. Captain America leads the side against registration and Iron Man leads the side that is for registration and it does lead to a Civil War in the Marvel Universe. Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 6, 2016.

Next up we have Doctor Strange. I was expecting an official announcement of Benedict Cumberbatch, but no such luck. He is in final negotiations with Marvel to play the Doctor, but so was Joaquin Phoenix, so we will still have to wait. After his career is destroyed, Dr. Stephen Strange, a brilliant but arrogant surgeon gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under his wing and trains him to defend the world against evil. Doctor Strange will be released on November 4th, 2016.

Next we have the sequel to this year’s successful Guardians Of The Galaxy. Right now it is called Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 and it could very well be the final title of the film. So not giving any clues with a subtitle, I have no idea what the storyline will be about. I do know that they will add more members to the team. Rumors are that it will be Nova or Captain Marvel (see below). Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 will be released on May 5th, 2017.

Thor 3 is officially titled, Thor: Ragnarok. “Ragnarok” was a series in the comic Thor that brought about the destruction of Thor, Asgard, and all of its inhabitants for several years. The story would have a lasting impact on the Marvel Universe for several years, removing Thor and his supporting cast from Marvel’s publishing schedule. Could this mean that we will see the new female Thor in Phase 4? Thor: Ragnarok will be released on July 28th, 2017.

We finally have confirmation of a Black Panther movie! And as I mentioned above Chadwick Boseman will portray Black Panther. The royal leader, T’Challa, of an African nation, Wakanda, is bestowed with super human powers to protect his kingdom against invaders. Wakanda is rumored to be one of the locations that will be in Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Wakanda is also the only place that has the material necessary to form Captain America’s shield, vibranium. Black Panther will be released on November 3, 2017.

I doubt Marvel was listening to me last week when I said that after Warner Brother’s announcement of a Wonder Woman movie for 2017, Marvel and Disney need to step up their game and releases a movie based on one of the most popular female superheroes in the Marvel Universe, Ms. Marvel. It’s complicated, but Captain Marvel is Ms. Marvel. Captain Marvel (or sometimes referred to as Ms. Marvel) is basically Marvel’s version of Wonder Woman as far as powers go (strength, flight, speed, endurance, etc). Her cosmic powers were obtained from the original Captain Marvel (not Shazam). Definitely a fun and exciting character. Captain Marvel will be released on July 6th, 2018.

My first encounter with The Inhumans was in early Fantastic Four comics and my first impression is that they are weird. But I also thought Guardians Of The Galaxy was a weird group and look what happened to them. This could be the answer to Fox’s X-Men franchise. Basically aliens, The Kree (Guardians Of the Galaxy), experiment on humans to create a super race which result in a group of superheroes, The Inhumans. Inhumans will be released on November 2nd, 2018.

OK, this is the big one! We are finally getting the Infinity War, which will be Avengers 3, and split into two movies. So what is the Infinity War? Remember the guy that appeared in the after credits scene in Avengers? And then that same guy appeared for a bit in Guardians Of The Galaxy? That is Thanos and he is a super baddy. Thanos wants one thing and that is to control the Universe and in order to do that he needs to find 5 Infinity Stones, which we have already seen 3 of them in the last few Marvel movies. Combining the 5 Infinity Stones will create the Infinity Gauntlet, making Thanos the most powerful being in The Universe. With a guy this powerful, the Avengers will need some help. So expect to see Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Guardians Of The Galaxy and the Inhumans join the Avengers to join in the Infinity War. Avengers: Infinity War will be released in two parts. Part one will be released in May 2018 and part two will be released in May 2019.
