A Haunting Timepiece
Hey Haunted Mansion fans! Not only will you get a whole mystery set released (hopefully sometime this year) but today on the Disney Parks Blog they revealed this:
Wow! Designed by Caley Hicks, this LE 750 pocket watch and 3″ Vinylmation combo is simply amazing. A ghostly figure looms over a tomb on the vinyl. The watch is modeled after the grandfather clock inside the attraction. It will release “in a few months” and will retail for $175.
This will be a day one pick up for me. On an interesting note, Steven Miller wrote that this will be the “last” watch in the Vinylmation watch series. Interesting as there are only 3 others that were released about a year ago. I picked up all three of the Steampark, Park and Urban inspired time pieces (check them out here) and would like to see more. Especially if they are themed as well as this one.
Say Aloha to the New DCL Vinyls
Looks like an eBay seller in Hong Kong pulled some upcoming DCL Vinylmation figures out of the dumpster. Now if I can only find some Disney Cruise tickets in the dumpster by me. Unfortunately I will not be going to Alaska or Hawaii anytime soon, but the DCL ships will be and apparently some commemorative vinyls will be aboard. As always, we only post these pictures to show off some upcoming designs, we do not endorse purchasing these figures as they are damaged and hurt your collection as well as the hobby as a whole.
The first is a Lumberjack. The design on this one looks fantastic to me. Great face and logs in the ears are priceless.
Not much to the back of this one, but a nice continuation of the overalls. No cruise logo either.
It is a Caley Hicks design and limited to 1000. No word on release date. The second figure is a Hawaii themed piece.
A clear yellow with a lei wrapped around it.
The back of this one does include the logo and says “Inaugural Sailing.”
The Hawaii figure is an Eric Caszatt design and LE 2500. No word on release date for this one either.
A Very Goofy Christmas
On November 18, the Goofy Very Merry Christmas 3″ figure will be released at select locations at WDW and DLR. It will retail for $16.95. We first got a look at this one during The Florida Project.
Caley Hicks designed this special 2011 commemorative figure. The packaging is spectecular!

No word on a Dancing Lights or EPCOT Holidays 2011 Vinylmation yet.
And the Artist is…
![]() Well, Disney has finally let a piece of valuable info slip. Today Stephen Miller posted a blog about his interview with the Disney Artist responsible for the Flags Set. For a while now we here at Destination Vinylmation have been wondering who the mystery artist behind this series is, and now we know. The mystery artist is Caley Hicks, a new comer to the Vinylmation front. Also of note is that Lisa Badeen designed the cool boxes that came along with the series. Congrats to both of them on such a well designed series. Picture from Disney’s Blog.
