Starbucks Coming To Main Street U.S.A

The long rumored Starbucks location inside Disneyland has finally been announced on the Disney Parks Blog:

I’ve got updates to share with you today about some big changes coming to Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland park. First, Starbucks will be making its much-anticipated debut inside Market House this fall. To make room for this exciting addition, Market House will close next month to begin an expansion into the adjacent space currently occupied by Disneyana.

Disney art and collectible fans will soon be able to find all their favorite treasures in one location, as Disneyana will move to a new home inside the Bank of Main Street building, the current location of the Disney Gallery. The new, combined location will continue to present a rotating Gallery Exhibit, featuring Walt Disney Imagineering concept art and pieces from local artists. (In fact, we will have information soon about the newest exhibit, featuring art inspired by Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer.)

Market House will reopen this fall, still themed as a turn-of-the-century general store, serving Starbucks products and a selection of specialty Disney pastries.

This new Starbucks location was announced just weeks after concept art surfaced of the new Starbucks location in Florida in the Main Street Bakery at The Magic Kingdom.

Join us as we welcome Miniaturist, Robert Olszewski who will be on hand for a special appearance and signing of his newest creations, including the second sculpture set from the Main Street Electrical Parade and a Splash Mountain Gallery of Light piece.

Main Street Electrical Parade – Set #2
Robert has once again captured in minute detail, some of the most famous scenes from one of the Disneyland® Resorts most beloved parades, the Main Street Electrical Parade, which first appeared in Disneyland® park. This is the second set in a series of five sets representing the parade.

Features Include:

-This set features the Alice In Wonderland section including the three main Mushrooms, butterfly and ladybug, Alice, the Cheshire Cat and the Caterpillar with the Frog. Also included in this set is the Turtle with hat and the Snail.
-When lit, multi-color changing lights illuminate these floats similar to the way the actual floats light up in the parade.
-The second sculpture set from Main Street Electrical Parade comes complete with a certificate of verification and a premiere plaque. This piece will be available for $125, plus tax. Dimensions: 11″L x 2 3/4″T x 2 3/4″D.

Please Note: The on/off switch will be the trash can. Also for those who have collected the entire set, a special feature for this design is that you are able to take it off its base so it can be placed along Main Street, U.S.A.

Gallery of Light – Splash Mountain
This Gallery of Light piece features Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox and Brer Bear from the classic film Song of the South and the beloved Disney attraction, Splash Mountain. This Gallery of Light piece can only be found at Disney Theme Parks and will be available for $85, plus tax. Dimensions: 3 7/8″ W x 4 1/2″T x 3 1/2″D. Batteries not included.

Join us Sunday, June 8, 2008, as we celebrate the release of our newest mini attraction poster commemorating the Monorail Mark VII by Walt Disney Imagineer & Principal Concept Designer, Scot Drake. Scot has captured the sleek, elegant modern design of the new Monorail Mark VII as it travels high above the waters of Tomorrowland on its circumnavigation of the Disneyland® Resort. Scot will be on hand for a special appearance and signing from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at the Disneyana Shop on Main Street, U.S.A.

The Monorail Mark VII open edition mini attraction poster comes matted and will be available for $35, plus tax. Dimensions: 14″ x 18″.

In addition, we will offer a framed set featuring two mini attraction posters – the 1959 Monorail Mark I and the 2008 Monorail Mark VII. See Image Below. This open edition framed set will be available for $195, plus tax.
