A rather interesting casting call was put out recently on the Disney Auditions website:
Disney Parks Talent Casting is seeking male actors to portray Doctor Strange for a limited engagement appearance this fall at the Walt Disney World® Resort, near Orlando, FL.
As you probably know, no MARVEL characters appear at the Walt Disney World Resort per the deal between MARVEL and Universal Parks and Resorts. So, has Disney found another loophole in regards to the Dr. Strange character, similar to those surrounding the Guardians of the Galaxy (who once appeared at Disney’s Hollywood Studios) or will this take place outside of a theme park? Only time will tell.
Marvel has just released a brand new featurette taking us behind the scenes with the cast and crew of the next Marvel movie, “Doctor Strange”:
Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) loses his ability to operate after a terrible accident, but finds new purpose when a mystical being known as the Ancient One reveals that Dr. Strange is the newly designated Sorceror Supreme.

Looks like Thor and Loki have put aside their difference to bring some happiness into the lives of some of the children residing at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane Australia.
While taking a break from filming “Thor Ragnarok”, Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, and Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, may not have been in their full costumes but they still displayed a more of a causal appearance of Thor and Loki. They also brought along Mlojnir with them too to find out if there were any who were worthy to lift the hammer.

Another super guy doing super things for super kids. Tom Holland paid a visit to Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta to brighten up some children’s day.
Holland went all out and donned his famous Spider-Man costume and made a lot of kids and adults very happy to spend some time with the worlds most famous web-slinger.
Kudos to Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. Keep up the great work guys!

This could be our first look at actor Bokeem Woodbine as the newest villain that Spider-Man will face off against in the upcoming movie, “Spider-Man: Homecoming”.
It sounds like The Vulture, played by Michael Keaton, will be the main villain but it looks like we will see Spidey going up against several villains in the movie. I always worry about multiple villains in superhero movies ever since the disastrous Batman and Robin movie. Spider-Man 3 had Sandman, Venom and a Green Goblin wannabe. Amazing Spider-Man 2 had Electro, Rhino and another Green Goblin wannabe. If history has shown us anything, too many villains means too many plot lines, which makes the story just inflated and overloaded. A lot of times more is less. Let’s hope they get Spider-Man right this time.

We still have a very long wait until we get to see “Captain Marvel” on the big screen but one artist has put together what we can only hope Marvel and their costume designers will mirror because in my eyes, this is perfection.

I never saw this coming and I’m not really sure if this is a good idea or not but we’ll see as “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns on September 20th adding and the legendary superhero “Ghost Rider” to the cast. This time around we will not see the Johnny Blaze version of The Ghost Rider, that has been seen in two not very successful solo movies, but Robbie Reyes, played by Gabriel Luna, will take over the mantel trading in his motorcycle for a 1969 Dodge Charger.

Atlanta Filming got a beautiful closeup of Spidey’s web-shooters that he will be using in “Spider-Man: Homecoming”. I still wonder if all of those black sections were added to his suit for a reason. Maybe they connect the web cartridges from his belt to his web shooters. They do look pretty slick!

Every day my love for Spidey’s “Civil War” costume grows and grows and this art work from jaopickstart just adds to it. What this artist did was pay homage to Amazing Spider-Man #546 using Spidey’s new MCU costume.
This costume will also be shown in “Spider-Man Homecoming”.

During this weekend’s Comic Con, Marvel released the second trailer for “Doctor Strange” and this time around we get a better look at Doctor Strange in costume, Benedict Cumberbatch’s American accent and some awesome mystical powers. Check it out!
Before he met the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange was an unlikable and egotistical neurosurgeon. Everything changes when a car accident limits Strange’s use of his hands, sending him on a maddening quest for a miracle cure. This origin story introduces the magical and mystical realms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kurt Russell will be playing Peter Quill’s (Starlord) father in “Guardians Of The Galaxy, Volume 2”. That part is not too surprising. The suprising part is that he will play Ego The Living Planet.
According to Marvel:
Ego the Living Planet originated like any other planet, coalescing over millions of years from cosmic gases and dust. But unlike any other known planets, Ego developed consciousness and intelligence.
It’s really hard to describe this guy and dont know how they are going to have Kurt Russell playing the character but have a feeling that Ego will take a human form to relate with Starlord. The picture above shows a photo of Kurt Russell’s costume for Ego.

Slowly but surely we are getting glimpses of what Hulk’s role with be in “Thor Ragnarok” and it definitely has something to do with the classic “Planet Hulk” storyline. I doubt it will be a faithful adaption but maybe we learn that after the events of “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”, Hulk was taken to another plannet, where he became a warrior and a king. Or it could just be a nod to “Planet Hulk”, which is more likely. Still has me excited to see Thor and Hulk battling together or who knows maybe battling against each other.

Fans at Comic Con were the first to see this beautiful 13 foot statue of Captain America, which was commissioned by Marvel to celebrate Cap’s 75th Anniversary. Cap never looked so good. Now that Comic Con is over, the statue will make a few more stops for display before settling in his permanent home of Sunset Park, Brooklyn on August 10th.
Believe it or not but there is less than year before we see Spider-Man back on the big screen with the first solo Spidey MCU movie, “Spider-Man: Homecoming”. Until then we got our first look at some concept art showing Spider-Man in action against his nemesis, The Vulture. We still are not sure who Michael Keaton will be playing in “Homecoming” but the odds are pretty high you are looking at him in the above promotional art.

PETE’S DRAGON – An upcoming live-action-animated fantasy comedy-drama film directed by David Lowery and written by Toby Halbrooks and Lowery, based on a short story by S.S. Field and Seton I. Miller and also a remake of 1977 film Pete’s Dragon. The film stars Oakes Fegley, Oona Laurence, Robert Redford, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Bentley and Karl Urban. Opens August 12, 2016.
QUEEN OF KATWE – Lupita Nyong’o and Madina Nalwanga star in The Queen of Katwe which is an upcoming biographical drama film directed by Mira Nair. The film is about the life of Phiona Mutesi, an Ugandan chess prodigy who becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her performances at World Chess Olympiads. The film will be produced by Walt Disney Pictures and ESPN Films, and will be released at an unspecified date.
STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE – Is an upcoming live-action Star Wars film, the first in the Star Wars Anthology Series. The film is set for release on December 16, 2016, and will be directed by Gareth Edwards.
THE BFG – Directed by Steven Spielberg and based on the beloved novel by Roald Dahl, is the exciting tale of a young London girl (Ruby Barnhill) and the mysterious Giant (Mark Rylance) who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country. Opens July 1, 2016.
THE FINEST HOUR – On Feb. 18, 1952, a massive storm splits the SS Pendleton in two, trapping more than 30 sailors inside the tanker’s sinking stern. It’s rare that anything surprises me but did not see this coming at all. I think most people had no idea that Ant-Man and The Hulk would team up for a Coca-Cola Mini commercial and that it would turn out so good.

We still haven’t seen Tom Holland in Spider-Man costume yet but here is a shot of Holland on the set of the Avengers Quinjet in “Captain America: Civil War”. Rumor is that the reason why we haven’t seen Tom Holland in any trailers or promotional material is because everything has to be approved by both Disney and Sony. I’m sure we will get something soon. If not an official image, promotional art is bound to leak soon.

Our first official look of Benedict Cumbebatch as The Sorcerer Supreme came to us through a special issue of Entertainment Weekly. If this does one thing right, it gives me the confidence that they are following the source material. This costume is perfect. My biggest fear was that they were going to tone down Doctor Strange’s look for the real world but think this is the best Marvel movie costume after Iron Man (and Deapool!). Without a doubt, Entertainment Weekly are getting the best exclusive photos of Marvel characters. The above photo shows The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) getting the upper hand on our hero, Daredevil (Charlie Cox) What is great about this photo is it is right out of the comics where The Punisher has Daredevil chained up and lets Daredevil know that he is about to kill a mob boss. He hands over his gun to Daredevil and lets him know the only way that Daredevil can stop him from killing the boss is by Daredevil choosing to kill The Punisher. A very difficult test for Daredevil come to life in Season 2!
Entertainment Weekly also gave us our first look at Elektra( Élodie Yung) and she also looks like she stepped right out of the comic book. A far cry from the portrayal made by Jennifer Garner who looked nothing like the character.
