The Disney Parks Blog just announced today that a special “Indiana Jones Adventure Inspired” Funko Pop will be available for purchase through the Disney Parks online store on October 7th.

From Disney Parks Blog:

The next figure in our series of Disney Parks Exclusive Funko Pop! figures will be released on October 7, 2016 via the Disney Parks online store. Part of the Pop! Rides series, this figure features Indiana Jones in his rugged troop transport vehicle from the Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland park.

This item will only be sold on the Disney Parks online store.

This is great news for those people that wanted to get their hands on this years New York City Comic Con exclusive “Indy’s Ride” because this is the same one (minus the NYCC Limited Edition sticker). NYCC attendees had to jump through more obstacles than Indy himself to get the chance to bring this little guy home with them. You first had to register for a lotto several weeks ago and if by chance you were one of the lucky ones that were selected to participate in the purchase of Indy’s Ride, there was still no guarantee that you would receive one depending on the quantity that was available and how long the line was.

So here is your chance! Get these while they are hot! It does not appear that “Indy’s Ride” is available for preorder yet but DisneyParks online store should have it updated hopefully before October 7th.

A Funko Pop! vinyl figure inspired by Indiana Jones is coming to select merchandise locations at Disney Parks on July 22. This Funko Pop! figure is part of a collection of figures created especially for Disney Theme Park Merchandise. Other figures in this collection include four Haunted Mansion-themed Funko Pop! released in November 2015.

The packaging for this figure includes a nod to the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction in Adventureland at Disneyland park.

This Indiana Jones figure is different than one being released at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2016. The Comic-Con figure (#199) was inspired by “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” whereas the Disney Parks figure (#200) was inspired by “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.”

Indiana Jones Adventure Single Rider Line

We’re hearing that a Single Rider line has been implemented over at the Indiana Jones Adventure. While there isn’t an actual line set up for it, you can still go single by asking a Cast Member for a Single Rider pass at the entrance to the queue. You then proceed through the exit of the attraction, where a Cast Member will direct you into the room with the safety video. After watching the safety video, you’ll take the elevator to the loading area.

I’m sure this Single Rider line will make it much easier for single guests to get on with-out having to endure the pain of one of Disneyland’s worst set-up queues.

Indiana Jones May Get Crystal Skull References

From the OC Register:

Crystal skulls may be added to the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction in Disneyland, but the “Summer of Hidden Mysteries” will end after this summer.

Glenn Kelman, a Disney Entertainment Productions senior show producer, talked about the Indiana Jones touches added to Adventureland for the summer.

First, he said that the “Summer of Hidden Mysteries” will only last through the summer.

“There are no plans to keep this event running along past this summer,” Kelman said.

He also mentioned that “as the [Indiana Jones] franchise continues, the possibility may come up to add new things to the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction.”

He said that there are no plans to remake or change the Indiana ride at Disneyland. Kelman said Imagineers’ “imagination could run wild” with new things to add to the ride from the latest “Crystal Skull” Indiana Jones movie.

Imagineering Spokeswoman Marilyn Waters said she knows of no plans to add “Crystal Skull” touches to the attraction.

She added that “it doesn’t mean that in a couple of months we won’t say ‘hey, why don’t we add this.’
