My Disney Experience App Update Brings AP Renewal, Dining Plan & Credit Card Tracking

Yesterday, Disney released a new update for the My Disney Experience app for both iOS and Android, bringing a bunch of new features to the app. Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will now be able to renew their pass on the app directly on their mobile device. Additionally, guests using the Disney Dining Plan will now be able to track how many meal and snack credits they have remaining directly on the app, and for guests staying on property, they will now be able to track charges made to their room using MagicBands.

Guests can download this update (version 4.8) directly from the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store.

Bring Your iPads and Go Under the Sea with “Second Screen Live: The Little Mermaid”

Starting September 20, 2013, you are invited to be part of the world of “Second Screen Live: The Little Mermaid”, a new interactive theatrical experience!

For a limited time in select theatres, fans can become part of the story in a new second-screen technology, Disney Second Screen Live, where the audience can engage with the film, each other and their fellow audience members.

Simply download the FREE “Second Screen Live: The Little Mermaid App,” in the iTunes App Store, onto your iPad or iPad mini (iOS 5.0 or higher is required.) Then bring your devices to participating theatres where you can interact with the film, your families and other fans, singing the songs, playing games, finding treasures, and competing for the chance to win prizes!

Disney Interactive has launched the all-new mobile game “Alice in Wonderland: A New Champion”, and not a moment too soon as Wonderland needs your help.  In this free-to-play game inspired by the 2010 live-action film, players explore the unbelieveable world of Wonderland while crafting tools and solving riddles, with the ultimate goal of taking on the role of the White Queen’s Champion in order to help Alice save Wonderland from the Red Queen and her minions.

Key Features Include:

  • Playing with familiar friends, like Alice, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the White Rabbit.

Another new game has arrived on the scene, and it’s “DuckTales: Scrooge’s Loot”! Disney Interactive has launched a new fully-connected experience on Facebook, iOS and Android that features iconic scenes from beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios films.

Disney Hidden Worlds is a free-to-play hidden object adventure that allows players to interact with nostalgic scenes from Beauty & the Beast, Tangled and Aladdin, with many more Disney animated films to come. The adventure is able to sync a game across Facebook, iOS and Android, allowing players to continue their game on all their mobile devices.
