REVIEW: Joffrey’s Coffee “Revive” Opens in the Magic Kingdom, Mission to S’mores Pays Homage to Classic Ride

For months, we have been watching the construction of the Joffrey’s Coffee “Revive” kiosk in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. This morning, the coffee and pastry shop opened with the park.

Joffrey’s Coffee Revive in Tomorrowland, the Magic Kingdom

The kiosk is the first for the Magic Kingdom, with Joffrey’s operating several kiosks at other Walt Disney World theme parks. It’s sign is an homage to the old Tomorrowland attraction marquees of the 70’s and 80’s.

Exclusive to this location is Mission to S’mores, an homage to the Mission to Mars attraction that once stood in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. Mission to Mars was open from 1976 until 1992, replacing the instantly dated Flight to the Moon and then closing to make way for the ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter (which would eventually debut in 1995).

The signage for the drink even looks like the old Mission to Mars logo!

I ended up being the only guest running to this at park opening (what a surprise that no one else wanted to rope drop coffee, but went to Space Mountain instead). As the first guest ever at Revive, I was given my drink for free!

So how was the Mission to S’mores? It was delicious! It wasn’t overly sweet, but instead was a latte with just enough of a marshmallow flavor for you to get your caffeine fix and not feel terrible about yourself afterwards (like some of the dessert drinks at Starbucks). I will be ordering this again for sure.

It is available hot or iced. I ordered it iced because it’s Orlando in March…

Other than this specialty beverage, the Revive kiosk also offers a wide array of coffee drinks (all non-alcoholic at the Magic Kingdom, but you’ll find the alcoholic versions at other parks), as well as pastries.

 width=

Pastries are of the usual Joffrey’s kiosk variety, including the giant doughnuts, croissants, muffins, and cookies.

 width=

Overall, the stand is a great addition to the park. With Casey’s Corner already discontinuing breakfast, it’s nice to have another location for pastries at breakfast time. I also really enjoy Joffrey’s coffee and prefer it to Starbucks, so I’m excited to have another good coffee drink location in the park (other than the Auntie Gravity’s coffee float).

Revive by Joffrey’s Coffee is now open daily at the Magic Kingdom, opening with the park every morning.

Joffrey’s Coffee Magic Kingdom Kiosk Gets a Name and Exclusive Beverage

The previously announced Joffrey’s Coffee kiosk at the Magic Kingdom now has a name: Revive.

Joffrey’s Coffee has confirmed our speculation that the construction near Space Mountain is for the new kiosk. Opening in March, the location will even offer a beverage exclusive to Magic Kingdom Park, the “More S’mores Latte”, made of espresso, rich chocolate sauce, sweet marshmallow syrup, whipped cream, graham cracker sprinkles and marshmallows. The new drink will be available hot or iced.

Our latest photo report brings us on a short trip to the Magic Kingdom to see what’s new and exciting inside (and outside) of the world’s most visited theme park.

Road Work

 width=

While taking the monorail from Epcot to Magic Kingdom, we got a nice view of the ongoing roadwork to alter the way guests leave and enter the Magic Kingdom resort area. This will alleviate the current Magic Kingdom toll plaza, leaving it just for guests parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center. You can see the plans for the roadwork HERE.

 width=

A ton of trees on the right side of the toll plaza are cleared for a new road to take guests to Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

To the left, more trees are being cleared just after the toll plaza, where the new flyover will be.

 width=

 width=

 width=

 width=

Monorail red was looking really rough, and its wasn’t just on the doors either. The front of the nose cone was just as marked up as this. When things look like this, it is unacceptable. This is the kind of maintenance I expect from Six Flags, not Disney.

 width=

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom

 width=

Work continues on the Main Street Railroad Station and the train remains closed.

 width=

 width=

The Haunted Mansion MagicBand 2 was released recently. For more details on it (and link to buy it), check out our post on the limited edition collectible. If you click the link to buy, WDWNT even gets a few bucks to put towards more fantastic Disney World coverage for you.

 width=

Work continues on the new covered seating areas outside of Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.

 width=

 width=

The D-Tech on Demand kiosks inside the Tomorrowland Light and Power Co. now also have a matching Haunted Mansion 45th anniversary phone case.

 width=

There are also some new MagicBand designs inspired by the upcoming Beauty and the Beast film.

 width=

 width=

 width=

Sadly, these are still going to be printed on the old MagicBands.

Tomorrowland Gets “Revive”d

 width=

The Joffrey’s Revive coffee kiosk in Tomorrowland just got really interesting, now with a tall marquee reminiscent of those that were found in the land back in the 1970’s.

 width=

If You Had Wings, Flight to the Moon/Mission to Mars, and the Circlevision 360 theaters all had similar marquees back in the day.

 width=

 width=

 width=

 width=

This and That

 width=

Some nice flowers were planted in Town Square, perfect for the spring weather which has already descended upon Orlando.

 width=

On the way back aboard the monorail, we could see more work happening just outside of the Magic Kingdom toll plaza, along the road which leads guests away from the park. Apologies for the dirt monorail window, but it was the hand we were dealt.

PHOTO REPORT: The Magic Kingdom 2/13/17 (Walls Everywhere, Tomorrowland Overhaul, Beauty and the Beast, ETC.)

Our latest photo report brings us to the Magic Kingdom as many refurbishments and enhancements continue through the less busy weeks of the year.

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom

 width=

Work continues on the Magic Kingdom monorail station (and it remains open thankfully).

 width=

 width=

Work continues on the Magic Kingdom train station.

 width=

The Emporium remains open while work is done to the exterior.

Tomorrowland In Progress Today

 width=

Sadly, the new paint scheme on the Tomorrowland rocks is already peeling.

 width=

 width=

There are now Toy Story Snuggle Snappers for sale.

 width=

 width=

Work continues on the rumored Joffrey’s Coffee location in Tomorrowland.

 width=

Just a few days ago, there was just a foundation behind those walls.

 width=

The Cool Ship has reopened, but the Cool Scanner remains under refurbishment.

 width=

The exterior painting on Space Mountain continues.

 width=

 width=

 width=

A look down at just the foundation for the coffee stand.

 width=

 width=

 width=

 width=

The Cool Ship is looking good after its short refurbishment.

 width=

Apparently, the guest relations location in Tomorrowland is still a thing, there was just no one working there the last time we visited.

 width=

Some Beauty and the Beast phone case designs can now be found at the D-Tech on Demand kiosks here.

 width=

 width=

 width=

As you can see, it was open again. I’m guessing they were understaffed the last time we visited.

 width=

The refurbishment of Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is underway, with the restrooms closed for remodeling.

 width=

 width=

 width=

This kid asked me why the bathrooms are closed. I responded, “Kid, have you eaten here?”

 width=

I’m not sure if it was done recently, but I noticed the old multicolored covering on the benches was gone and there was a new paint scheme on the walls.

 width=

There is now a FuelRod kiosk inside of Cosmic Ray’s. The convenience continues to grow as you can find many of these in each park now.

 width=

The work on the exterior has many of the windows covered.

 width=

If you couldn’t tell, it is really dark inside right now.

 width=

The work outside is to add more covered seating areas.

 width=

Beauty and the Beast Taking Over

 width=

I found the Beauty and the Beast MagicBand at the Magic Kingdom. It’s not the best one I’ve seen…

 width=

Bonjour Village Gifts is now selling tons of merchandise from the new movie.

 width=

Including the Belle doll which most think looks more like Justin Bieber in a dress…

This and That

 width=

I’m no fan of Pinocchio Village Haus, but closing at 6pm seems a bit early. Even the @WDWToday twitter account tweeted at 6pm the other day that you should go eat here, but it was closed already…

 width=

Inside, the electronic menu boards have been covered for a while, with these static signs placed over them for now.

 width=

There are now candy-filled lightsabers for sale at the parks.

 width=

Filled with off-brand M&M’s…

 width=

You can get blue or red, but clearly the red is more popular.

 width=

A new mug for sale in the Emporium.

 width=

I thought it was neat that it has an emoji of the castle underneath instead of the usual logo.

 width=

Pecos Bill’s has become my favorite quick service lunch spot over the last year. It seems this is where I end up every time there’s not something new to order elsewhere in the park.

 width=

The new kid’s nachos dish is a pretty good value, and you can load it up as much as you want at the fixin’s bar.

 width=

 width=

 width=

The taller trees on the riverbank were removed to help with the sight-lines for Tiana’s Riverboat Party.

 width=

As you can see, this new, smaller tree was just planted.

 width=

All sorts of emergency walkways and exits around the parks seems to be getting much brighter LED lighting for nighttime.

 width=

Seen here, the stairway at the dock is brighter than the lights on the Riverboat.

 width=

 width=

Tomorrowland Tonight

 width=

The nighttime lighting on the Tomorrowland rocks looks great as it reflects off the water and makes a wave effect.

 width=

 width=

New lighting was installed on the Progress City model along the Peoplemover and it looks great.

 width=

 width=

Just two days later, the entire Joffrey’s Coffee kiosk was there (sorry for the blurry pics, but best I could do).

 width=

 width=

 width=

Goodbye…

 width=

The Wishes! poster acts as a decent reminder when you leave that you only have a few weeks left to see this legendary show.

Joffrey’s Coffee Kiosk to be Added to the Magic Kingdom, Annual Pass Discounts Now Offered

Joffrey’s Coffee kiosks can be found at all of the other Walt Disney World theme parks except for the Magic Kingdom. Well, today Joffrey’s announced that they will be adding a location to the park in the not-too-distant future.

 width=

The rumored location in Tomorrowland for the new Joffrey’s kiosk.

While no exact location was named, it is assumed that the ongoing construction in Tomorrowland is for the addition of the kiosk.

Interestingly enough, Joffrey’s kiosks at Walt Disney World are now offering a 20% discount on non-alcoholic beverages and food for Walt Disney World annual passholders as of the 1st of this year.
