Just hours before it premiered, Disney announced that there would be a Super Bowl Pre-Parade before the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade at the Magic Kingdom starting on Friday. The special processional is being held February 1st-3rd and will also appear with the Super Bowl MVP on Monday afternoon. From February 11th-17th, the Magic Kingdom hosted Limited Time Magic’s “True Love Week” in honor of Valentine’s Day. The event consisted of several photo-ops, meet and greets with Princes and Princesses, and even a surprise musical medley from the Main Street Philharmonic. Lake Buena Vista, Fla. — Love is in the air at Walt Disney World Resort as fairytale princesses find true love with their princes, and “happily ever after” becomes reality. It all happens during True Love Week February 11-17, 2013 at Walt Disney World Resort.
The weeklong love fest is all part of Limited Time Magic at Disney Parks, where each week in 2013 guests will be treated to a sprinkling of Disney magic where unexpected surprises and delights enhance vacation memories.
During True Love Week, a tapestry of romance is woven throughout the resort — from limited- time Valentine’s merchandise and special entertainment, to romantic dinners for two and new themed photo locations offering greetings with beloved Disney sweethearts – all for a limited-time only.
The weeklong event celebrates the love of friends and family, and invites couples to rekindle the flame. Here is the lineup:
In Town Square Theater you may find Mickey and Minnie, Aurora with Phillip or Rapunzel and Flynn. Mary Poppins joins Bert in Fantasyland, while Prince Naveen and Princess Tiana meet guests in the Enchanted Glade in Liberty Square.

Well, it’s not anything too exciting once again, but a new springtime edition of the Main Street Trolley show debuts as part of Limited Time Magic on Monday, March 4th:

Watch as Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen parade down to the New Orleans Square waterfront and celebrate New Orleans Bayou Bash with Tiana’s Mardi Gras Celebration. New Orleans Bayou Bash runs January 18th – February 12th.

It’s almost time to let the good times roll at Disneyland park with the return of New Orleans Bayou Bash! – this year, part of “Limited Time Magic” here at the Disneyland Resort. New Orleans Square will be decked out for a party, and so will some of your favorite Disney friends! New Orleans Bayou Bash! will come alive in New Orleans Square from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on the following dates:
- January 18-21
- January 25-27
- February 1-3
- February 8-12
Here’s a look at what is in store:
- Princess Tiana’s Mardi Gras Celebration – Princess Tiana, Louis and Prince Naveen make their way through New Orleans Square to the Rivers of America, where a musical celebration takes place featuring tunes from Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog.”
- Jambalaya Jazz Band – The popular band will perform their jazzy tunes along the streets of New Orleans Square.
- Royal Street Bachelors – This Disneyland favorite will be found at the French Market Stage, and will be joined throughout the day by Princess Tiana.
- New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band – Throughout the day, a rousing Mardi Gras procession will burst onto the streets of New Orleans Square. In traditional “second line” style, an umbrella dancer leads the mash-up of colorful performers and musicians.
- Character Greetings at Court of Angels – Princess Tiana will be greeting Disneyland park guests along with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy in their Mardi Gras finest.

Starting Thursday, get a taste of “Limited Time Magic” at the Golden Horseshoe at Disneyland park, where the celebration includes a special tribute to the historic “Golden Horseshoe Revue” but also includes some fun eats that will make the whole experience even more fun. The bite-size renditions of the Monte Cristo are back, one of the all-time favorite Disneyland sandwiches. Indeed, the delightful little bites are on the “Limited Time Magic” menu just for this show that runs from January 10-14, January 17-21, January 24-28 and January 31-February 4.
“A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue” takes you back to the days of musical variety shows (the kind that Walt Disney loved), but the food is decidedly contemporary – crispy mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, chicken salad and those Monte Cristo nuggets served with sliced apples and blackberry jelly. (You still can get the popular chili cheese fries and the chili in a bread bowl with shredded cheese.) And a special sweet ending is red velvet cake with cheesecake mousse, raspberries and a snazzy can-can girl decoration.
To reserve a seat for “A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue,” stop at the podium at the entrance to the Golden Horseshoe on the day you want to see the show. A cast member will issue a ticket for the preferred show time, based on availability, which you’ll need for admission. (Anyone old enough to remember that this is the way it was done back during the show’s original run?)
