Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Fantasmic! window display at Villains in Vogue has been replaced after ten years with “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland”
Our newest WDWNT Reporter Banks Lee has provided us with his second update, taking us to both Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see what’s new:
Starting at Animal Kingdom, Flights of Wonder is closed through October 23rd for refurbishment
I have returned from my latest trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, and there were plenty of things going on in the last week. So let’s not waste any time, on to my photo report:
There is a large balloon promoting “UP” outside the AMC Theater in Downtown Disney West Side
As promised yesterday, here is the video of the short daytime show that the Luxo Jr. character is performing on Pixar Place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
WDWNT reporter Brandon Struve (a warm welcome to the latest addition to our staff) made a trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier today to take some pictures and video (coming soon) of the new Luxo Jr. audio-animatronics character that is now performing in the Pixar Place area across from the Toy Story Midway Mania attraction:
We’ve seen this before, this sign has been up since Pixar Place was completed last summer
Now Luxo Jr. actually comes out to greet guests with a short show

Luxo Jr., Pixar Animation Studios’ hopping desk lamp mascot, will soon take up residence in the Pixar Place section of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Check back for more details about our latest Audio-Animatronics® figure!
Hard to believe we reported this in the fall of 2008 and it’s just getting ready to debut now. As reported on the WDWNT Twitter, the expected debut of this figure at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is late June/early July. Stay tuned to WDW News Today for more information on this story as it develops.
