WDWNT Reporter Drik Wallen and myself both took trips to Disney Springs yesterday and have some newsworthy photos to share with you, so let’s take a look:

Work continues on the Town Center and the new bus loop

Planet Hollywood has closed for its makeover into the Planet Hollywood Observatory

Concept art for the Town Center up on the walls

Star Wars Valentine’s Day pins are out

Some new(ish) phone case designs available from D-Tech on Demand

From the porch of Morimoto Asia, you can clearly see the Town Center construction

Restaurants cover the boardwalk around the north edge facing The Landing, just past all of the main “mall” buildings looming in the background

The Ganachery is now selling Star Wars Chocolate Bars

You can get a whole box for $15…

Things are pikcing up at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as it embarks on a 25-acre expansion finally after many years of waiting. I decided to go check out what’s new and exciting at the Studios and I have pictures of what I found to share with you today:

Started the day with breakfast at Starring Rolls

GUYS< JUST LIKE IN THE COMMERCIAL! Seriously though, they had to give the Stortroopers handlers as guests apparently were harassing them

One Man’s Dream is now temporarily home to a Zootopia preview

The preview is really cute and does a great job selling guests on this new Disney animated film

Guests can also get complimentary rabbit or fox ears

The Osborne Lights are completely gone as of the publishing of this photo report

By Friday, this was gone

The former Phineas and Ferb and Cars meet and greets are now behind walls

Pizza Planet and the adjacent restrooms closed, but they got some really funny New York themed construction walls

A lot of fun jokes here

The Sorcerer Mickey meet and greet in sound stage 4 received some permanent signage recently

These new open edition birthstone pins were released this week and are proving very popular. January is sold out right now…

The look fantastic and come in nice gift boxes

Hadn’t seen this UP MagicBandits set yet

A ton of new Hollywood Studios merchandise has been released recently including a girl’s shirt…

A boy’s shirt…

This children’s hoodie…

There are shirts for adults too

Another new set of his and her shirts

These new open edition character heart pins are pretty neat

The Made with Magic mouse ears have a new look, much improved in my opinion

WDWNT Reporter Dirk Wallen visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week and has some newsworthy photos to share with us from his trip:

Work continues on the Tree of Life facade as they prepare for some nighttime lighting upgrades

A strange new structure has appeared on the left side of Disney Outfitters

Same for the right side where some sort of tower is going up next to a new building, possible a new guest relations location

Work is still underway to bring hyenas to Kilimanjaro Safaris

More walls, these for what should be a small seating area by the Starbucks location opening June 18th

Not much to see outside of the Starbucks

The Disney Vacation Club kiosk that used to be on the way to Camp Minnie-Mickey is getting an overhaul

I visited Disney Springs/Downtown Disney, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios this week and took a ton of newsworthy photos to share, so let’s take a look:

Work continues on the Town Center in Disney Springs

The new pedestrian bridge is nearing completion

Some new concept art can be found as you arrive from the parking garage

Time is running out for the old globe

Artwork of what the new Planet Hollywood will look like

Portions of Paradiso 37 are being remodeled

Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar is coming along nicely

Vivoli Il Gelato is now open in Disney Springs

Inside Out Tsum Tsums are now available at Once Upon a Toy

There’s also plenty of other Inside Out items

Not sure how new these are, they are called “Snuggle Snappers”

There are now Once Upon a Time phone cases available at D-Tech on Demand

Also, new Star Wars designs

The Sign Shoppe in Marketplace Co-Op also has some interesting new items

The Wonderground Gallery has some really fantastic items

The expansion of the World of Disney Store is moving full steam ahead

New ceramic mugs have been released at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

There’s also a new window display between Captain Cook’s and BouTiki

If you wanted your MagicBand to be a watch, your wish has been granted in MagicSlider form

The launch screen at Rock’N’Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith was replaced

There are some new graphics guests will see before they launch into the ride

Last night I visited the Magic Kingdom and I took some newsworthy photos of what’s going on at the park while I was there, so let’s see what’s new and exciting:

Work continues on the northern hub area

A lot of the old Adventureland Veranda and the backstage area inside has been gutted for the upcoming Jungle Cruise restaurant

On the other side of the hub, a structure reminiscent of those that housed the food and drinks stands has appeared

Tarps still up for this set of turrets

The center hub area is finally finished

The Little Orange Bird has returned to signage and inside the Sunshine Tree Terrace

Not sure why this took 6 months…

The egg roll cart in Adventureland has moved over between Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean is closed until September for modifications

More new Pirates of the Caribbean merchandise is rolling out, including this mug

This strange plush

AND THIS PEG LEG PETE PLUSH!!!

New notebook set

For $3.99, you can get a paper map of the one that appears in the Disneyland attraction

It has been a good while since our last photo report, so I thought I would share some recent pictures I took at Walt Disney World:

The parks are slowly “rolling out” some new Indiana Jones merchandise, here you see the updated pin below the old one

At the Magic Kingdom, the Main Street bypass gates have been given signage. The bicycle ad returned, but there is also a new ad!

In Frontierland, the cast were getting into the Avengers spirit and created Captain Hamerica for guests to trade pins with

I had never had a waffle sandwich from Sleepy Hollow, so I decided to stop there for breakfast

The omelet sandwich was easily my favorite breakfast item I have ever had anywhere on this earth in all of my life…

New Thomas Kincade art of Cinderella Castle has been released

The Tomorrowland Speedway sign which had been missing for weeks has returned

Turkey legs can now be found at the Cooling Station and not in Liberty Square

Work continues on the Jungle Cruise restaurant in Adventureland

The upcoming Liberty Tree Tavern closure is to accommodate a kitchen remodel since it is shared with the Jungle Cruise establishment

A lot of work happening outside of the building as well

PHOTOS: A look Inside the “Rebel Hangar” at Star Wars Weekends 2015

The “Rebel Hangar” lounge at Hollywood Studios may not open until Friday night, but the area is already decked out and looks just about ready to serve the excited Star Wars fans flocking to the park for the annual “Star Wars Weekends” event:

Half of the indoor seating at Backlot Express has been converted to the new lounge

While not yet the finished product , the space has been nicely decorated

We will be dining at the Rebel Hangar tomorrow evening as it is the first night of Star Wars Weekends 2015, so follow us on twitter for an instant review and stay tuned for a full review here on the site!

A panoramic view of Hub construction

Not much progress to see around the north sides yet

The new castle tower control booths are still being constructed

New pavement is finally being poured around the south side of the Partners statue

At Epcot, construction of the third Soarin’ theater is visible from the monorail

Out at Flamingo Crossing, work continues on the two new Marriott hotels: TownePlace Suites and SpringHill Suites

WDWNT Reporter Dirk Wallen visited Animal Kingdom and Epcot this week and has some newsworthy photos to share with us from his trip, so let’s take a look:

Work has begun on the Frozen meet and greet pavilion between Mexico and Norway at Epcot

Still no visible progress on the Frozen attraction

Moving over to Animal Kingdom, the annual DisneyNature sand sculpture can be found outside of this park instead of at Epcot this year

Walls came down around Island Mercantile revealing new planters

It doesn’t look like the pin cart will be returning to this spot anytime soon

Rivers of Light construction from above… looks like something is being constructed out in the water

AVATAR construction as seen from the parking lot at Animal Kingdom; this building will hold the flying Banshee ride

What appears to be construction of an outdoor seating area for the Beastly Bazaar Starbucks

The viewing area for Rivers of Light is coming along slowly

Meanwhile, a hyena habitat is being constructed on Kilimanjaro Safaris

Should be a cool addition when the nighttime safaris debut

The Africa Marketplace and Harambe Marketplace restaurant should be opening soon

The water tower looks ready to go, but some work remains on the ground level
