WDWNT Reporter Dirk Wallen recently visited the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Downtown Disney and has a number of newsworthy photos to share with us, so let’s take a look:

The Polynesian lobby lives to see another day…

ABC’s The Middle was filming at the Magic Kingdom this week

The cake cups at Chshire Cafe were changed recently

Work continues in the Magic Kingdom moat as part of the hub remodeling project

Moving on to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there is an ad for the “it’s a small world” animated series in the parking lot

After almost 25 years, the Kodak signage on the Darkroom has changed to Nikon

The ABC Sound Studio will soon be host to a preview of Maleficent

Some random Constantine wanted posters have appeared in the Streets of America

Some new Muppets t-shirts available

Stage 1 is one of the stores now selling MagicBands to guests, and they have a ton

Easter cupcakes are available at most counter service restaurants

Legends of Hollywood on Sunset Blvd. is also selling MagicBands

They also have some Captain America merchandise

Moving on to Disney Springs, work continues on the new parking structure

Wetzel’s Pretzels and Haagen Dazs are now moving to the other side of DisneyQuest after having closed to make way for Starbucks

Starbucks on the West Side is coming along nicely

No visible progress on the BET Soundstage

Work is picking up in The Landing

Nothing new to see here either

Soon guests will be able to pass through behind Raglan Road

A designated Food Truck area is coming to the West Side this summer

WDWNT Reporter Dirk Wallen visited the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney over the last few days, so let’s take a look at everything happening around Walt Disney World right now:

Nikon photo spot now in place near the Rose Garden

Some more planter work happening near the hub… rumors suggest this may all be related to a new nighttime show for the park…

The facade at the Enchanted Tiki Room is getting some work done

The Nikon picture spot at Splash Mountain isn’t quite picturesque yet…

The Splash Mountain refurbishment continues

Tarps up on the buildings in Liberty Square and the castle crane looming behind it

The Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin FastPass machines are being removed

Plenty of Valentine’s Day treats are available at Big Top Treats

Moving over to Disney’s Polynesian Resort, DVC wing construction is in full swing

The stage area near Fulton’s has been behind walls for a few weeks now

The staging area for the bridge is across from T-Rex behind the DVC booth

The Marketplace Starbucks is also coming along slowly

WDWNT Reporter Dirk Wallen visited Downtown Disney, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom on Sunday and has some newsworthy photos to share with us, so let’s take a look:

Work continues on the Disney Springs parking structure

Since this photo was taken, the new confer service location at House of Blues opened

It’s called The Smokehouse

No visible progress on Pleasure Island

Captain Jack’s and the marina has been reduced to some poles in the water

Moving over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Min and Bill’s is now serving turkey legs and pork shanks

The Glow with the Show window at Villains in Vogue has vanished behind this old Fantasmic display

Over at Animal Kingdom, the stroller parking area at the Wildlife Express Train in Africa is behind walls

Work continues on the new DVC wing of the Polynesian

We spotted out first Nikon Picture Spot in Fantasyland

FASTPASS machines are now being uninstalled at the Magic Kingdom as they are now only using FastPass+

Peter Pan FASTPASS covered up

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train appears to be nearing completion, and trains are now testing on the track daily! Here’s video of a train running:

I made a few visits to the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Downtown Disney over the last couple of weeks and have been taking quite a few photos to share with you, so let’s take a look at what’s new and exciting at Walt Disney World:

Disney Infinity store displays can now be found in the parks

The gingerbread display at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is once again “it’s a small world” themed

There’s a tiny Contemporary made of out of gingerbread

Some of the offerings have Monorails filled with children of the world

There are even 5-legged goat crispy treats…

They also have a hidden Mickey cupcake!

Belle’s Village at the Magic Kingdom has been decorated for Christmas

Gaston uses antlers in all of his decorating…

There is now a Gaston’s Tavern antler hat

Also now for sale at the parks are these Disney food magnets

Moving to Downtown Disney, the path in the front of the West Side is now closed to guests

Pleasure Island is now the Walkway to the Marketplace…

The new bridge around Pleasure Island opened recently

Disney Springs artwork can be found on the construction walls

It seems all of the buildings not staying have been removed at this point and construction should go vertical soon

Captain Jacks and the marina should be removed very soon

Some new iPhone 5 cases with a better safety bumper came out recently

Also, we found the Master Gracey lenticular phone case

Disneyland Resort 11/29/13 Photo Report

After several months, we finally have a photo report from the Disneyland Resort. YAY!!! (Wild Applause) So here are a few pictures of some stuff going on at the Disneyland Resort.

Over in Disneyland, Main Street Station has been set up for the Candlelight Processional which thankfully does not run 20 nights this year

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad still closed. CMs telling us January reopening though it rumored to be delayed to late February.

The Black Friday crowds were in full force. It it historically a very busy day though the rain kept it manageable

Starbucks Coming to Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort

Exciting news for the Disneyland Resort! Starbucks is also coming to the Downtown Disney District!

Starting this winter, you’ll be able to sip your favorite beverage or enjoy a delicious snack at a kiosk location as well as in front of the west entrance to the World of Disney store.

Of course there is already a cafe offering Starbucks products in Disney’s California Adventure park at the Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe, and another location will open this September in Market House. So by winter, you’ll have four locations in the Disneyland Resort where you can enjoy some Starbucks magic!

PHOTOS: FountainView at Epcot Re-Opens as Starbucks Location

FountainView at Epcot re-opened yesterday after several months of remodeling for the Starbucks takeover. Let’s take a look at this new location:

The exterior keeps the round shape, but looks very different

At night, the signage is a different color depending on where you are looking at it from

Yes, there is a big Starbucks logo in Epcot…

The menu is identical to the Main Street location, offering 4 breakfast sandwiches, assorted pastries, and drinks

The inside looks really sharp and has a feel very much like current Spaceship Earth or Test Track

An assortment of Starbucks products here as well

Overall, there is nothing really special about this location, but we think it looks really nice. Now the question is when is Starbucks coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom and where will they be going?

Max Guggenheim’s 8/30/13 Disneyland Resort Photo Report

Rumors specualte that the ride will remain closed until 2014 now, but still no confirmation from Disney

PHOTOS: Blue Sky Cellar Now Previews Starbucks Market House & Aulani Expansion

Over at Disney California Adventure, the Blue Sky Cellar was updated over the weekend with new information and concept art for 2 Walt Disney Imagineering projects. The first project is the Market House over at Disneyland Park which will soon also be a Starbucks location. The second project is the expansion for Disney’s Aulani in Hawaii. We’ve got some photos provided by fans of the site, Kris Eijan and Sabrina Soler, who were in Disney California Adventure over the weekend:

It is confirmed that the stove and the party-line phones will remain and be part of the seating area

The expansion at Aulani features a new water play area

Two new dining locations on the way to Aulani

Both are counter service locations

They look great and don’t bottom out, but they have been getting guests a lot more wet than the old boats and make a horrible squeaking noise when they bump into each other…
