REVIEW: Cookies ‘N Cream Churros Make Port at Tortuga Tavern, The Magic Kingdom

New at Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom, guests will find Cookies ‘N Cream Churros on the menu.

 width=

This has got to be the strangest menu at Walt Disney World now, featuring hot dogs, turkey legs, cookies, and now these churro bites.

Cookies ‘n Cream Churros ($5.49)

 width=

I was pretty excited to try these, but the inclusion of a chocolate sauce was a bad sign. That being said, this sauce is really great with the warm salted caramel pretzel in Tomorrowland.

 width=

Sadly, these were bad. Almost flavorless in fact. There is a slight tinge of cookies ‘n cream flavor, but it almost doesn’t taste like anything. Even the cream filling ceases to deliver any flavoring. The chocolate sauce does little to remedy this either and feels like it was added to deal with the cardboard-like blandness of the bites.

Sadly, like the rest of Tortuga Tavern, you should just skip these.

Adam caught the Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special inside the ABC Sound Studio, former home of Sounds Dangerous

In case you don’t know, Comedy Warehouse was a club at Pleasure Island

Just a sticker, but shows effort for a very temporary attraction

Control booth

The show is improv, comedy’s ugly cousin…

OK…

I’ve been running this site for five years, and this is easily the lowest moment…

Adam enjoyed it and so did guests, so we’ll see what the future holds…
