New Black and White Mickey and Minnie
Another hidden figure inside a video. Disney just loves to do this sort of thing. Go to the Sketch to Shelf video and watch until 48 seconds in. There you will find the above imagine. Now this does nto appear to be the “Classic Minnie” we saw that is going to be for sale at D23, however the video says these are D23 items. Interesting….
What do you think? I personally really enjoy the fancy Mickey. I’m gonna have to try to get one of those for myself!
From D23: Marvel Checklist
There have been several rumors flying around about the upcoming Marvel set from Disney. At D23 instgrammer mymousecapades seems to have solved all the riddles. Here is the checklist for the Marvel set. It includesall 11 figures we were able to deduce from the side of the box, along with a Mystery Chaser, 2 variants, and a Combo Pack Hawkeye.
No idea what the combo pack means, but it’s cool they included Hawkeye, completing the movie roster.
I’m also interested in the variants. The obvious ones seem to be a greener Hulk and a more classic Spiderman (that Future Foundation outfit is an interesting choice for the first round).
What do you think the variants will be?
Also, we are doing a lot of coverage of D23 from our phones so be sure to follow us on twitter at vinylmationnews and Destination Vinylmation on instagram for updates this weekend.

Today, the Official Vinylmation Blog posted preview pictures of the final set in their Disney Afternoon Series 2. At long last, we have our Gummi Bears set. After getting scrapped from Disney Afternoon Series 1, these guys are a welcome addition to collections. The set was designed by Maria Clapsis, has an LE 1500, and will release at both parks and online on November 29th for $29.95 each. Take a look at the previews:
Cubbi and Gruffi have great expressions, and like all others in this series, feature an accessory. What do you guys think of this final set? Do you like it better than the scrapped Gummi Bears designs? And who would you like to see in a possible Afternoon series 3? Let us know!!
Signed Urban Redux 2 Figure Surfaces
Vinylmation Kingdom got word from a member on Vinylmation Exchange, Jenna Stevan, that Urban Redux 2 will also have blind boxed signed figures. This is in similar style to Urban Redux 1, where signed figures from the artists could be found in lucky blind boxes. Take a look at the figure below, which is Cyber Girl signed by Maria Clapsis:
Still no word yet on any “Super Chasers” from this series, but it is cool to see that Disney is keeping up with this trend of signed figures.
Previews of the Jaques and Gus Two-Pack from Animation 4
Animation 4 hasn’t even hit shelves yet, but today Disney provided us with full previews of the first limited edition set from this series. The designs are Jaques and Gus from Cinderella, and here are the 360 degree shots:
These vinyls were designed by Monty Maldovan, are LE 1500, and will release at both the parks and online for $29.95 on January 3rd. These were first previewed at Reflections of Evil back in September along with another LE set from Animation 4, a three pack featuring Huey Dewey and Louie. Jaques and Gus look great in person, and I think their expressions are captured perfectly. Will you guys be picking this two pack up?

Nacho Rodriguez Strikes Again
In what he is now referring to as #sneakpeakmonday on Instagram, Ignacio Rodriguez posted another photo teasing a design. The caption he used this time is “Who could possibly be wearing their top hat tilted to the side like a true gent? One more week till it comes out. I hope!” Here is the picture he posted:
Could this be a Mickey to go along with the “Fancy” Minnie Nacho teased last week? Or could it (gasp) be an Oswald?!?! Where would these even release? New York? Internationally? Hopefully in a week we will have more concrete details. Who are you hoping this vinyl is?
Spotlight On: Oliver’s Primary Mickey
This week we got an email from aspiring 11 year old artist who wanted to show off his first custom piece of artwork. We love custom artists here at Destination Vinylmation, and especially enjoy when we can show off people who might not have the ability to show their artwork off themselves. So here’s Oliver and his Primary Mickey.
Destination Vinylmation: Hi, Oliver, give us a quick intro on yourself.
Oliver: I am 11 and this is my first custom vinyl. I have been collecting for a
while and while I was in Disneyland I thought I would try a custom out.
DV: It’s a great first custom! Do you like being an artist?
O: I think it is
cool being a custom artist and like having my own work in my collection.
DV: I think that’s what makes Nick do his. Have you done a lot of art?
O: I have done a few designs on paper and hope to try some of them out
sometime.
DV: Why did you pic a Rubik’s Cube as inspiration?
O: I just thought it was cool doing a primary color themed
Vinylmation.
DV: What’s your favorite Disney Vinylmation?
O: If I had to pick my favorite out of my collection I would
pick the Burbank Exclusive Director Mickey, I just like how it reminds
people of Walt himself.
DV: That’s one of our favorites too. What custom Vinylmation design do you think you’ll do next?
O: If I do another custom I want to do something Disney themed.
DV: That’s a good idea. The community kinda loves Disney. 🙂 Thanks for letting us do a spotlight on ya Oliver, and next time you have something, let us know!
Jrs 8: Goofy’s Candy Company Chasers
The Disney Merchandise Blog posted the two chasers from the Goofy’s Candy Co. Jr. 8 series. One is the official Goofy’s Candy Co. logo in the head with Goofy’s signature laugh “Gawrsh!” written all over the body. The other chaser is Goofy, looking goofy and apparently sweating. What do you think of these chasers and the set as a whole. Will you get them? Check out Goofy’s Candy Co. Explained.
