More Muppets Star Wars

Unfortunately, no Star Wars 2 Vinylmation were on display at the start of Star Wars Weekends today at DHS. But they did a few interesting previews. The first of which is an addition to the Star Wars Muppets action figures from earlier this year. This 3 pack set will be out in August and will retail at $18.95.

Animal makes an appearance as Boba Fett. The skinny Fett does look strikingly odd, but I like the character choice and enjoy the addition of drumsticks.
Link Hogthrob, who was featured as Han Solo in the first release, returns in this pack as Han Solo in carbonite. Always a fun design, this really fits in well with the set.

To round things out, Scooter has been called upon to play the part of Lando. And you know what? He pulls it off. Great costume and cape. The first round of figures were designed with high quality, so I expect nothing less from these.

Mascots Vinylmation Explained

Mascots Series
Release Date: June 22
Price: $12.95
Details: 4 figure open window series. Foam fingers, flags and hats highlight this series.

Mickey

Mickey comes with a baseball cap and is wearing a red sweater.

Goofy

Goofy has the most interesting design change ever, his right arm is bent and includes a foam finger design.

Pluto

From the HK dumpster dive we saw Pluto, but he was without his school flag. It seems like that flag would slide into holes in his mouth.

Donald

DOnald comes with a different type of hat and matching sweater.

Sweet New Pinocchio Kidada

Surprise! The Disney Store Online today released the 9″/Jr Kidada we have been waiting for since last year’s D23.

An LE 500, this set comes with a colorful 9″ featuring Pinocchio having fun at Pleasure Island, a Junior Jiminy Cricket and a pin. It retails for $74.95 and is available online as well as the North Michigan Avenue Disney Store in Chicago, Times Square Disney Store in Manhattan and the Walt Disney Studio Store in Burbank.

The back of the 9″ is delicious with donkey Pinocchio inside Monstro’s mouth.

The Junior Jiminy has a great facial expression as he is watching Pinocchio. The pin reads “Official Conscience, 18KT”. A nice touch.

The box, as with all Kidada’s, is simply brilliant. A colorful design with quotes and such that ads as much to the figure as the design itself.

The back of the box reinvents the way 9″s SHOULD be packaged! A window in the back gives collector’s a look at the whole design. And the way it’s done, with the curtain, is fantastic. I have never purchased a Kidada yet, but this one I hit “add to cart” as soon as it loaded onto the screen. One of the best overall designs I have ever seen on a 9″ Vinylmation, toss in the Jr, pin and packaging… and this is one of the instant standouts of 2012.

All the Park Starz variants now have release dates:

Abe – May 25

All are LE 2500

Robots 2 Photoshoot

Austin and I made a trip to Walt Disney World last week because we heard the Robots 2 were causing a ruckus. Come to find out they were just taking a look around the place. We found some playing at the Magic Kingdom, while others were found making Epcot their home.

All Mixed-Up
Tomorrowland
Magic Kingdom
Scaling new heights in Tomorrowland

Found some pipe coils lying around, maybe she can sell it for scrap?

There is something eerily familiar about the top of this robot. I know I have seen it somewhere. Oh well can’t think of it never mind.

Every robot loves him some nuts and bolts.

Houston, I have landed this strange surface it seems nothing like the moon. It’s strange and metallic. No clue what it could be.

This nut seems to be making strange noises. It’s realllllly scary!

Somebody climbed up there, got stuck, and fell asleep.

I have officially landed on the moon… or is this still Walt Disney World?

Wheeeeee! I found a planet as big as me. I will name it “Baby Figment.” Because it is cute, and tiny, and purple, and I love it.

Most people have a chip on their shoulder, he seems to have a robot on his.

The clawwwwwwwww! The claw is our master. The claw chooses who will go and who will stay.

I see you!

These are supposed to conduct electricity. Maybe it will turn the light bulb in my stomach on.

All Together
Future World
Epcot
If I just squeeze through here maybe I can escape.

If I stand perfectly still you can’t see me.

If I charge up my bulbs enough I just know I can get it to 150.

Help! Get me out of here! They are planning to dissect and study me. They already took my feet.

This is a really wacky solar system. That planet just missed my head by an inch.

What does this word mean? INN OOO VEEEN TIIIOOONS. Innoventions? It’s like it’s made up.

Thumbs up! Darn. Can’t… move… thumb.

I found some sort of flying contraption. Now if  I can juuuuuuust reach it. And why do these clouds have cracks in them?

I don’t know how to type, but i will try because I am the masked avenger. Wait, no I’m not.

How many shadows do I have? It’s kind of creeping me out.

This sign kinda looks like the Contemporary, but it’s not. I’m so confused.

Whatever you do, don’t turn that gear. I am already upside down and I will get really dizzy.
