Steven Spielberg Seems To Confirm Directing Harrison Ford In “Indiana Jones 5”

While out promoting his latest movie, “Bridge Of Spies”, Steven Spielberg seems to have dropped a bomb that both Harrison Ford and he will be back for “Indiana Jones 5”.

When asked by Yahoo Movies, “What has made your long standing collaboration such a success?”, Spielberg mentioned that:

“Tom (Hanks) is tied with Harrison Ford. Harrison and I have done 4 movies and Tom and I have done 4 movies. Now, I’ll probably do “Indy 5″ with Harrison and that will be 5 for Harrison and 4 for Tom. I got to make another one with Tom so it will be 5 for Tom and 5 for Harrison.”

The key word is “probably”, which means more than likely. I am sure that Kathleen Kennedy, Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford have had discussions about doing “Indiana Jones 5”. In May, Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, did confirm to Vanity Fair that “Indiana Jones 5” will be made. Kennedy has had a close working relationship with Spielberg for decades being producer for many of Spielberg’s films including  “E.T”., “The Jurassic Park Trilogy”, “The Back To The Future Trilogy” and of course all of the “Indiana Jones” movies. Ford has also mentioned that he wants to do one more “Indiana Jones” movie.

We have heard rumors that we should expect a fifth “Indiana Jones” movie sometime in 2018. Hopefully we’ll hear something official from Lucasfilm in the near future.

Spider-Man Meet & Greet Moving in at Super Hero Headquarters, Captain America Leaves Disneyland

Innoventions at Disneyland is currently being converted into the Tomorrowland Expo Center, home to Super Hero HQ and Star Wars Launch Bay, which will open on November 16th. When it does open, guests will be able to meet the one and only Spider-Man!

Spider-Man can already be seen at Walt Disney Studios Paris, but this will be his first meet and greet appearance in the Disney Parks here in the United States. The attraction will also include the returning Thor meet and greet experience, Iron Man Tech exhibit, a MARVEL gaming zone, and small store selling super hero goods.

While the Captain America meet and greet is going away, Disney has promised that Cap will return soon. The space being used for the Spider-Man meet and greet is flex space and will change to a different MARVEL character every few months.

VIDEO: New Projection Scene Added to the Finale of The Great Movie Ride

While it has been several months since the debut of the new Great Movie Ride presented by Turner Classic Movies, the ride continues to add new details. The rather dark room following the film montage at the end of the attraction added a large new projection very quietly over the last few weeks:

[sc name=”YouTube Embed 800w” id=”RA2fBribOcE” ]

The new scene can only really be experienced if you are in the second train on the ride, meaning you are parked to the right side during the film montage at the end. During the slightly longer trip this train takes back to the station, guests can look up and see some classic film moments from the montage before they “rise dramatically to their feet” and exit.

“Fantastic Four” Movie Rights Are Back With Disney/Marvel; Deal Includes “Dr. Doom”, “Silver Surfer” & “Galactus”; New Film In 2020

Although this has not been officially announced by FOX, Marvel or Disney it does seem that this could be a great day, make that a FANTASTIC day! After years of being at FOX, the first family of comics is finally coming home to Marvel! According to Den Of Geek, Marvel has made a deal with Fox to secure the rights of the “Fantastic Four” movie franchise. The deal would include classic characters such as “Dr. Doom”, “Silver Surfer” and “Galactus”. The first movie is expected to come out in 2020. What definitely was instrumental to the return of the “Fantastic Four” from Marvel was the disastrous box office return from the recent “Fantastic Four” reboot that Fox released this summer in theaters. Also Fox was looking to bring the “X-Men” to TV but they needed Marvel to sign off on the deal and that deal seems to be going through too. It appears that is now part of the deal and Fox will be bringing the “X-Men” series, “Hellfire” and “Legion” to television.

From Den Of Geek:

According to our source, Fox were given the TV rights for X-Men in exchange for Fantastic Four. The deal’s been in the works for some time we’re told. Further, the timing of Marvel’s recent announcement of its movie slate leading up to the year 2020 and the X-Men TV series is no coincidence.

Again, still no official confirmation from the studios involved but it appears that all of the peaces are fitting together.

  • The Fantastic Four reboot was universally panned by most critics and movie goers.
  • FOX announced a few months ago that they want to bring the “X-Men” to television in some form but cant do it with out Marvel’s authorization.
  • Marvel announced recently at the New York Comic Con, that they are adding 3 unnamed Marvel movies to the Marvel Cinematic Universe slate in 2020.
