Join Us for A Celebration of Classic Epcot and WDWNT Inside The Living Seas Lounge

As part of our 10th anniversary festivities, we are hosting a special breakfast event inside the private lounge at The Seas with Nemo and Friends pavilion. WDWNT: The Breakfast, Vol. 2 will be held on Sunday, September 24 and is part of WDWNT: The 10th Anniversary, a four-day event at Walt Disney World taking place Saturday, September 23 to Tuesday, September 26.

The Living Seas Lounge (more accurately called The Living Seas Salon) opened in 1986 with pavilion and has been almost untouched since then. The signage in the lounge still refers to it as The Living Seas.

You can see more of the lounge in a photo and video tour from last year.

WDWNT: The Breakfast, Vol. 2 is scheduled to include:

  • Unseen Epcot Center – A special multimedia presentation featuring never-before-seen artwork from the park’s 35-year history, as well as relics from the park’s past appearing in-person
  • Live WDWNT games
  • Door prizes
  • A Commemorative WDWNT Gift
  • A few surprises
  • And of course, bacons (and other food that we haven’t butchered the name of)!

For more details on WDWNT: The 10th Anniversary, or to register to attend the event, check out http://events.wdwnt.com. The link to purchase tickets for the breakfast is also on that page. WDWNT: The Breakfast, Vol. 2 is open to registered attendees of WDWNT: The 10th Anniversary.

Wondering why we are calling the WDWNT: The Breakfast, Vol. 2? Back in August 2010, WDWNT hosted an event called WDWNT: The Weekend which included a private breakfast and live podcast recording session on Saturday, August 28, 2010. Of course, we called this first breakfast event “WDWNT: The Breakfast.” So now we’re on Volume 2, continuing our shared breakfast event universe.

Walt Disney World Switching to Self-Service Automated Lockers at Theme Parks

Guest lockers offered at Walt Disney World’s 4 theme parks have been changed to self service, electronic kiosks that no longer require a cast member or physical keys.

 width=

A similar system already in place at the Disneyland Resort

Guests paying with cash and credit can now head directly to the lockers to pay. Guests paying with gift cards or MagicBand will still need to see a cast member at the nearby merchandise location.

Lockers are available in standard size (12.5″x10″x17″) for $7 or large (15.5″x13″x17″) for $10. No deposit is required any more.

Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World water parks already utilize this system.

Survey Reveals Possible New Park Theme and Name for Disney’s Hollywood Studios

With all of the demolition, removal, and construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it is no secret that most of the park that once existed is now history, which has lead many a guest to ask what the new theme of the park will be and why Disney hasn’t just renamed it already. Well, a recent focus group survey sheds some light on the possible new theme and a host of possible new names for the transitioning theme park.

 width=

As described above (including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land), the park would now revolve around you being the star and jumping into your favorite movies, television shows, cartoons, and more, taking an active role in the story in every experience.

The survey goes on to ask the guest to pick from a list of possible new names for the park…

 width=

For what it is worth, we were unable to verify the source of the focus group, but it looks pretty official. We’ll just have to wait and see if any of this comes to fruition now…

What do you think of this possible theme and the new names listed above? Also, don’t forget to check out our latest aerial tour of the construction at the park!

BREAKING: Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark Ride Announced

Halloween Time at Disneyland is expanding to include Disney California Adventure this year with “Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark”.

Your adventure picks up moments after the events of the popular Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction. The Guardians have successfully escaped The Collector’s Fortress, but they have accidentally left Groot behind! Rocket enlists you to distract the creatures that have been released so he can find and rescue his little buddy. While The Collector’s ever-resourceful assistant, Apheta, may try to assure you that it is all just a momentary setback, Disney advises you to proceed with caution!

 width=

Once the sun sets each evening during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will transform into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Music continues to be at the heart of the experience, and an all-new song, “Monsters After Dark,” was created especially for this attraction by Tyler Bates, composer of the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort kicks off on September 15th.

VIDEO: Sumatran Baby Tiger Cubs Born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

On Wednesday, Disney gave us the awesome announcement that Sohni, a Sumatran tiger at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, gave birth to a pair of beautiful tiger cubs, a first in the park’s history.

According to Disney, Sohni and her cubs are bonding very well and are in excellent condition with around-the-clock care. Guests currently can’t see the cubs but don’t worry, in the coming months guests will be able to see Sohni and her cubs on the Maharajah Jungle Trek.

Check out this adorable video Disney shared with us below.

Join Us for an All-Day Game Across Walt Disney World, WDWNT: Order of the Seven

This September WDWNT brings you our most insane game yet – long, silly, infuriating, and fun, all at the same time. Be prepared to step into a world where Seven is a sacred number, representing the collection of the World’s (Walt Disney World’s) most powerful entities. An evil creature reigns over the land, and his robotic fury threatens the very foundation of time and space. Your team must work together to solve clues and complete tasks across Walt Disney World, in order to unite the power of the Seven, and save the day once and for all… or at least until the next D23 Expo…

WDWNT proudly presents WDWNT: Order of the Seven.

 width=

This game is just one part of WDWNT: The 10th Anniversary, our celebration of 10 years of WDWNT, taking place September 22-26, 2017 at the Walt Disney World Resort. The winning team in WDWNT: Order of the Seven will receive an impressive prize package from WDWNT.com. Runner up teams will also receive prize packages.

Participation in WDWNT: Order of the Seven is open to everyone. You must register for the WDWNT: The 10th Anniversary event in order to participate in this game. Even if you will only be joining us for the game on Saturday, September 23, you must still register for the event, because there is no separate registration form just for the game. Registration is open now at events.wdwnt.com, where you’ll also find a schedule for the entire event.
