Robert Ashburn’s 4/20/11 WDW Photo Report
WDWNT Reporter Robert Ashburn made a visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and took a peek at the construction on Disney’s Art of Animation Resort construction on Wednesday, so let’s taker a look at some photos from his trip:
The test of “Truckosaurous” dance party will still going
Too early to know if this will return at any point
The truck had some really great details
DJ Dino-Mite out in the crowd teaching guests some dances
LOVE the dinosaur ripping through the bag…
I think they use the same thing for the T-Rex at Universal… ZING!
That’s not a dino…
Neither is that…
Primeval Whirl is still closed, it will re-open in early June
This is the second lengthy refurbishment for this ride in 2 years…
Despite what some will tell you, the details in Dino-Rama are among the best scene in Disney Parks
Fro such a long refurbishment, it looks awful
“Hello there”
It isn’t very often you get to see the park after dark…
He’s still there…
The Tree of Life can be just as nice as any of the other park icons in the evening
Moving over to Disney’s POP Century Resort, there was a special contest for Earth Day
Cast Members made these birdhouses using recyclable or reusable materials
Some uses for Vinylmation boxes
Aladdin inspired
The Tiki Room is back! 😉
That;s the winner in my book…
In case you missed it, this is the refillable mug you’ll find at the resorts right now
Baloo and Mowgli getting some much needed attention
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is coming along nicely
You can already see the differences between these buildings with the family suites and the usual value resort buildings
This building is still just a shell
This already built wing is being made into one of The Little Mermaid buildings
You can see the spaces where the family suite rooms will go in
The suites have windows facing outward without a balcony on the other side
You can still find the old name somewhere…
BABY DUCKS!!!
The first themed exterior walls are going up on this wing
With the Resort opening next Summer, work should be picking up speed very soon…
