Steampunk News. And New Vinylmation Watches Announced!

I had the chance to speak with Steven Miller, Project Manager Disney Trading, at the Festival of the Masters at WDW this past weekend. Steven is a man of many hats… he works in Disney Merchandise and heads up trading of Pins and Vinylmation as well as some of the Disney social media sites such as the Disney Vinylmation Blog and the Vinylmation Facebook page. (if you haven’t yet, go “like” that page, they will keep giving us new stuff to look at!) Steven talked about some upcoming releases, new products, price points, tins or boxes?, ice cube trays, Star Wars, a behind the scenes look at the development of a Vinylmation and much, much more! We will be releasing a new clip from the interview each day this week. The full interview with Steven will air as part of Destination Vinylmation Episode 3, to be available for download on Sunday, November 14th. Subscribe now on iTunes or listen at our website. To see some pictures of some upcoming releases from Festival of the Masters, visit the Destination Vinylmation Facebook page.

In today’s clip, Steven announces a couple exciting new additions to the Vinylmation family.

Special thanks to Steven Miller and Disney.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Queue

From the Disney Parks Blog:

If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom Park this week, you’ll be the first to see a series of new enhancements to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The changes begin with a re-designed load area and a re-imagined gift shop called Hundred Acre Goods specializing in apparel, toys, plush characters and collectibles featuring Pooh and his friends.

Also this week, the attraction entrance will be temporarily relocated to the FASTPASS return lane while enhancements continue on several interactive elements being added to the queue. And beginning Thanksgiving week, young guests will start their adventure through the Hundred Acre Wood by jumping with Tigger, crawling through Eeyore’s house and playing in Rabbit’s garden before they board the attraction. And there’s more to come, with new elements debuting throughout the next month.

These enhancements will have a temporary impact on FASTPASS distribution which will not be available until the enhanced queue opens. Soon, we’ll resume FASTPASS distribution for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at Mickey’s PhilharMagic where it will remain during Fantasyland’s expansion.

Video Report from the 2010 Festival of the Masters

The Festival of the Masters is wrapping up at Downtown Disney today, but don’t feel too bad if you missed it! WDWNT Reporter Banks Lee was on the scene and has a video of the annual weekend event to share with us:

What do you do for a living?

Maybe there will be a Vinylmation soon just for you! Here are pics of the upcoming Teacher and Computer Vinylmations for the Occupations series. You get the 3″ and one of three mystery juniors in each box. There are 3 different juniors to collect for every different 3″.

Let It Snow, man

Its hard to build one of these in Orlando or Anaheim, but we can buy the Vinylmation…. soon hopefully. Holiday #2 Reindeer comes out November 19th, lets hope Disney releases Mr. and Mrs. Snowman soon.

Nerds Rock!

Oh, as a nerd I can relate to these… I can’t wait for Donald! We saw Chip and Dale at Trade City, but this is our first 3D look at my favorite duck.
