WDWNT Reporter Jose Eber has us a few photos from the West Side of Downtown Disney featuring construction of the latest attraction coming to the Walt Disney World Resort, a tethered balloon ride:
The attraction is operated by Aerophile, but is still called “Characters in Flight
The short flight aboard the balloon will cost $16.00 for an adult, and $10.00 for children
The logo for the upcoming Celebrate! A Street Party, which debuts this Friday, has been revealed:

Beginning March 27th, the heart of Disneyland Park rocks to the beat of some of the best party tunes of all time during Celebrate! A Street Party. Ballons and streamers fill the air on Main Street USA, while crazy conga lines, swing dancers, and Disney characters take to the street to celebrate YOU!
WDWNT Reporter Jose Eber visited Disney’s Contemporary Resort on Friday and has plenty of photos to share featuring the final preparations for the Bay Lake Tower addition this August. Let’s take a look at some of his photos:

WDWNT Reporter Jose Eber visited the Downtown Disney Marketplace last night and has plenty of great photos to share from his trip. Let’s take a look:
The new stage area at the Marketplace has proven quite popular with guests
I saw this show when I visited in January, it has proven to be extremely popular whenever it runs.

Myrna popped over to the El Capitan Theatre today to pick up what else, but pins! She also grabbed a few shots of the latest happenings at the theatre for us:

The current featured film at the El Capitan is Race to Witch Mountain (which was an excellent movie by the way).

You can get your own Race to Witch Mountain birthday cake.

A little history display of the El Capitan Theatre.

Could this be the worst Disney shop window display ever?

For some reason, the Soda Fountain & Studio Store seems to be loving LA right now.
Thanks for your report Myrna!
WDWNT reporter Jose Eber has sent us another short report featuring some of his newsworthy findings from around the Walt Disney World Resort. Let’s take a look:
At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, a sign for the Concourse Steakhouse remains. Notice the new signs above the Outer Rim bar, Chef Mickey’s, and the Contempo Cafe
This computer-printing station has appeared at the Contemporary
Here is a video of continuing construction on the Kidani Village addition to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
D23’s website has so far proven to be a great source for news and information for the Disneyland Resort, posting some tidbits we haven’t even heard mentioned elsewhere. Here’s a round-up news from the last 2 days:
Dewayne Bevil of the Orlando Sentinel’s Theme Park Rangers blog was able to get an exclusive look inside the soon-to-open Tren-D store in the Downtown Disney Marketplace area. His report and pictures can be seen at this link.
As shown in the concept art we provided a few days ago, the store has a very contemporary/hip flare featuring recognizeable Disney character accents. The store opens to the public on March 19th, 2009. Stay tuned to WDW News Today as we get more information on the latest Downtown Disney shopping experience.
