Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Chris Evans as Captain America. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.

After “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”, What Is Next For Joss Whedon?

avengers-director-joss-whedon

This is complete speculation on my part, but I am calling it right now, Joss Whedon is going to leave Marvel for either Warner Brothers or Sony.

Over the last few weeks I have been watching and reading interviews with Joss Whedon promoting “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” and he just doesn’t seem very enthusiastic in most of his interviews. In fact he seems to be kind of negative towards Marvel at times. Whedon is contractually obligated to promote the film, but once “Ultron” is released, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear an announcement that he will be doing another superhero movie, just not with Disney and Marvel.

Here are my clues:

  1. He’s not coming back to direct “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2.” I really was expecting to hear that Joss Whedon would be directing “Infinity War,” or at least one of them, but it was recently announced that The Russo Brothers (“Winter Soldier”, “Civil War”) would be directing probably the biggest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s going to be big because not only will the Avengers be in it, but also The Guardians Of The Galaxy and Spider-Man and even more superheroes. Either Disney/Marvel think the Russo Brothers are really that good or they asked Whedon and he said no. It’s more likely the later because although I really enjoyed “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” I wouldn’t bet the farm just on the results of one movie.
  2. Whedon recently came out and said that Edgar Wright’s “Ant-Man” script was the best script that was ever written for a Marvel movie. For those that dont know, Edgar Wright has been attached to Marvel’s “Ant-Man for years. He pushed hard to get this movie made and more than likely we have him to thank that it is coming out. But something happened where Wright and Disney/Marvel disagreed about the direction and future of Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Wright and Disney/Marvel parted ways. Wright has a huge following of comic book fans and most were very upset to hear that he was no longer attached to the project. Whedon said the following, “I thought the script was not only the best script that Marvel had ever had, but the most Marvel script I’d read. I don’t know where things went wrong but I was very sad because I thought, this is a no-brainer. This is Marvel getting it exactly right. Whatever dissonance that came, whatever it was, I don’t understand why it was bigger than a marriage that seemed so right.” For Whedon to come out and say that Wright’s “Ant-Man” script was the best Marvel script he has ever written, to me, was the start of burning his bridges with Marvel.

whedon-exited-batmanvsuperman

  1. He recently saw the “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” and gushed like a little girl about it. The trailer was good, but it aint that good. Whedon said,“People with power, who are good, do not always agree and it makes perfect sense for me that (Batman and Superman) would fight. And besides… Batman and Superman are gonna fight! I’m so excited! I’m so excited!” He also said that Superman would destroy all of the Avengers. I’m not going to deny that if I had to choose who would win, I would pick Superman, but I wouldn’t say that while promoting a Marvel property.
  2. He recently said that “Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD” is basically all a dream because Agent Coulson is dead. Whedon said, “Yeah he’s dead. The entire television series is just a fever dream. It’s a Jacob’s Ladder moment he’s having at the point of death, but we don’t give that away until after season seven. And there’s a snow globe. Now I’ve given it away. Bollocks!” I’m sure Marvel and Disney are not happy that he is telling fans that this show is just basically one big waste of time.
  3. He came out and said that he was disappointed that he never got to work with Spider-Man in the Avengers. Spider-Man is Marvel’s most popular character and to many, including me, he is Marvel’s best character. Whedon is a comic book fan and it’s obvious that if he had a choice, this would be his next Marvel movie. Whedon said,“Yeah I’d like to have worked on Spider-Man, he’s the poster child. He’s the first book I read, and I think that’s true for a lot of people. There are so many things I would want to do, even with these characters The Avengers, even with just one of these characters. But the fact of the matter is: they’re doing fine, and I’ve probably got to move on.” He said it right there, he’s moving on. Whedon would be an excellent choice because he is a big Spider-Man fan and I think he would bring back the magic of Peter interacting with J Jonah Jameson and the Daily Bugle.

In all honesty as a comic book fan, I think it would be great if Whedon directed a non Marvel superhero movie. The perfect movie for him to direct would be “Justice League”, but Zack Snyder is directing that one. Whedon gets the team dynamic really well and feel he is best suited for a superhero movie. Whedon also did Firefly and you can tell he works really well with an ensable. If I had to guess, I would say that the one movie that he wants to do is “Spider-Man”, but Sony is still being run by poor management and probably will go with someone less experienced. The other property that he has said that he wants to do is “Batman” but have a feeling that WB will go with either Ben Affleck as director or maybe even Snyder. Which leaves “Superman” and I would love for him to do a “Superman” movie. Whedon could bring back some of the light heartedness that “Man Of Steel” was lacking and some nice colors that are not hidden behind a dark camera filter. Again, this is all speculation on my part but I doubt we will ever see Joss Whedon ever do another Marvel movie again, but he’ll be back again and I’m sure whatever superhero story he tackles, he will do a great job.

“Guardians Of The Galaxy 2” To Introduce Starlord’s Father

guardian-of-the-galaxy-poster1

In the Guardians Of The Galaxy movie, there was a bit of mystery surrounding Peter Quill’s (Starlord) father. We do see his mother in the beginning and she does mention Peter’s father briefly. Soon after we hear that Yondu was hired by Quill’s father to retrieve Peter from Earth shortly after his mother death. And that’s it.

While being interviewed about the “Guardians Of The Galaxy 2,” James Gunn, director of the first film and the sequel, made the following comments to Vulture.com:

“There’s a lot of stuff I’m excited about in the new movie,” he said. “Listen, I’m still excited about Star-Lord’s character and where he goes. At its heart, Guardians is a story about families, and if the first film was about him and his mother, this is a story about fathers. So it’s exciting to go there.”

So who is Peter Quill’s (Starlord) father?

In the comics, Starlord meets Emperor Jason of the planet Sparta and he reveals that he is Peter’s father. Jason explains that he had crashed on Earth decades earlier and been rescued by Meredith Quill. During the year that he had spent repairing his ship, Jason and Meredith fell in love. When it came time to leave, Jason, for Meredith’s safety, had placed a mindlock on her memories of him, causing her to remember their year together as only a dream.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure they aren’t going with that father story. From the rumors that I have heard, again rumors, more than likely, Starlord’s father will be Adam Warlock.

2758972-15943d446a524fcb563165cf1e5b4647

Adam Warlock is an artificially created human who was born in a cocoon at a scientific complex called The Beehive. The goal of his creators, the Enclave, was to create and subsequently exploit the perfect human. While in the cocoon, he became aware of his creators’ plans for him. He awoke from the cocoon and rebelled. Adam Warlock definitely has a long and unusual history that I am not going to get into but he is also a very prominent character in “The Infinity Gauntlet.” “Guardians Of The Galaxy 2” would be the perfect way to introduce Adam Warlock into the Marvel Cinematic Universe before he is seen in “Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet.” No guarantees, but it seems like the it would all fit perfectly.

Chris Evans recently revealed that the prospective back-to-back shoot for Avengers: Infinity War will take nine months, with production due to start sometime in the “fall or winter of 2016.”

The two-part “Infinity War” will be directed by The Russo Brothers. Marvel has slated part one of “Infinity War” for release on May 4, 2018, with the second installment hitting theaters on May 3, 2019.

Sony To Release A Theatrical Animated “Spider-Man” Movie In 2018

Amazing Spider-Man 2 face (585 x 300)

Sony announced recently that there will be an animated “Spider-Man” movie that will hit theaters on July 20, 2018. The movie will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who directed the highly successful “The Lego Movie.”

Sounds good, right? The only issue that concerns me is that Marvel will not be involved with this and the people behind “Amazing Spider-Man 2,” Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal will be producing the movie.

REVIEW: “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”

Marvel's Avengers: Age Of Ultron L to R: Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) Ph: Film Frame ©Marvel 2015

“Avengers: Age Of Ultron” is finally out and it’s another really good movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but it’s far from the best. I will get into SPOILERS towards the end, but for now will remain as SPOILER free as possible.

The movie starts off where the Avengers are now officially a team and they are working together to fight some remnants of HYDRA. Although Tony Stark has good intentions, he creates Ultron and the Avengers must work together to defeat Ultron and his army before they take over the world.

For me, the movie was good, but it wasn’t great. Although I enjoyed it, the original Avengers movie was better. Maybe it’s because the original Avengers movie was such a big event having four characters coming together from four different movies and we had never seen anything like that before. Now we are used to seeing them all together and I was hoping that Ultron was going to be The Godfather: Part II of Avengers sequels, but it wasn’t.

I will say that for the most part, I really enjoyed the story and especially how they incorporated the Ultron story into the movie. Most of these actors have been playing these roles for several years and it shows that they get and understand their characters. The end battle was great! I was originally worried that having 10 Avengers fighting together would be to much but they did a fantastic job.

Without a doubt, Ultron is a fun action packed movie but it does kind of drag in certain areas and I think that is what most people are having issues with.

I think that a big issues is that the run time for Ultron is 2 hours and 20 minutes. This movie could have done with a better editing team because I could have easily cut out 20 minutes of this movie and it would have been a better movie, well, to me anyway. Another big problem is that this film relied way too much on one liners. And they were basically hit or miss and there were a lot more misses this time around.

Character development in a movie is important. A lack of character development can ruin a movie. But too much character development, especially in a movie that should be action orientated, is not good either. There is way too much romance going on in this movie. When it works, like in Empire Strikes Back, it makes the movie a better movie. When it doesn’t, like in Attack Of The Clones, it makes a bad movie even less tolerable.

Overall I enjoyed it, but like I said, it could have been better. I would rank “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” a 3.5 out of 5.

Just a reminder to everyone who hasn’t seen the film yet, there is only one post credit scene when the movie is over and it occurs within a few minutes once the end credits role. Don’t stay till the very end because you will be disappointed.

SPOILERS:

  • The one thing that I could not stand and felt dragged down the movie the most was the dumb Beauty And The Beast like scenario between Black Widow and The Hulk. I hated that. The “Lullaby”…. yuck. Anytime these two characters were in a room together, I knew we were going to get this lame lovey dovey forced romance story where Scarlet Johansson spoke for 90% of the time and Mark Ruffalo looked confused or didn’t have much to say. I would have cut all of those scenes out of the film and then lit them on fire. LOL I gave this movie a 3 out of 5 and if they cut this part out of the movie, I would have easily given it a 4 out of 5. That is how badly this part ruined the movie for me.
  • As I had mentioned, Ultron was a great villain. I will give Whedon a lot of credit on this one, he pulled off a difficult task. I think most directors would have made him the “Kill! Destroy!” Robbie The Robot type of Ultron or more of a Terminator but he gave Ultron a real snarky arrogant personality. Ultron kind of reminded me Patrick Warburton (Kronk) from The Emperor’s New Groove. Not the goofiness, just his booming voice and his confidence in his words. But I loved his arrogance and it just blew my mind when he finally got the vibranium and he quoted from the Bible saying, “This will be the rock that I will build my church on.” That just left me with such a big smile on his face because I could not believe he just said that.
  • Speaking of religious overtones, there were a lot of them in this movie. Ultron was basically Satan and he no longer wanted to serve but rule. When Vision is asked, who’s side Vision is on, he says, “I am, I am.” And that was right out of the Bible when Moses first met God. Ultron says to Vision at the end, Stark wanted a savior, not a slave. To me that was very similar to how the people accepted Jesus. Most wanted a warrior and instead they got something totally different that was willing to sacrifice Himself for humanity’s sake.
  • That they had the Mind Stone hidden in Loki’s scepter was brilliant. It made me think that maybe Ultron was right about humanity blowing their chance, if he was able to discover that hidden Infinity Stone in a few minutes and no one else was.
  • The Vision was this movie’s break out character, like The Hulk was in the Avengers. To me, Vision was always a huge part of The Avengers and to finally see him on screen was just an amazing moment for me. And having the Vision being able to lift Mjolnir was the holy crap moment of the film. You did see Captain America budge Mjolnir a few spaces during the party scene and I still think that Cap was able to lift it but didn’t want to freak everyone out by doing it. But loved the expression on Thor’s face when he saw Cap move it. That Vision is able to wield Mjolnir shows that he is completely worthy and has a good soul. That is why Thor had so much confidence in Vision at the end. It was no trick that Vision did, there is something inside of him that shows a pure heart.
  • Vision rescuing Scarlet Witch was a nod to comic book fans. In the comic book, Vision and The Scarlet Witch eventually get married and to see him rescuing her at the end and both looking into each others eyes was a pretty big moment for me.
  • I loved the Hulk and Hulkbuster battle in Wakanda. It went on much longer than I expected, and that was a good thing. I liked that Iron Man specifically went out of his way to scan for life forms before destroying a building he was planning on throwing the Hulk into during the Hulk/Hulkbuster fight. That seems like a response to all of the controversy that was raised during Man Of Steel where Superman was responsible for a lot of collateral damage. In Ultron, Iron Man tries to get the Hulk away from the people to continue their fight where no one will be harmed.
  • From some of the images I had seen of the Hulk before I had seen the movie, I thought there might be a Grey Hulk, but I was wrong. He just had dust from debris all over him. Although recently I learned it was Whedon’s intention to make the Hulk turn grey while being mind controlled by Scarlet Witch, but Marvel told him to keep him green in order not to confuse people.
  • The Twins, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, played by Aaron Taylor Johnson and Elizabeth Olson, were OK but their whole role in the film was a bit baffling and a bit unbelievable. Elizabeth Olson looks to much like her sisters and think they should have gone with someone else that didn’t look like an Olsen Twin. I liked this Quicksilver better than X-Men: Days Of Future Past version because he was at least vulnerable. X-Men’s Quicksilver was way to fast.
  • Once Jarvis is gone and Tony can no longer assist him internally within his Iron Man armor, who is that female voice that replaces Jarvis? I have seen the movie twice and she definitely has an Irish accent. Something must have been cut out explaining who the new AI was that was helping Tony in the Iron man suit.
  • No more Iron Patriot! It was good to see War Machine, but would have loved if he had a few minutes more of fighting side by side with Iron Man. Don Cheadale’s time on screen was so small as War Machine, that they should have just left him out.
  • Loved seeing Steve (Captain America) and Sam (The Falcon) having a talk at the party in Avengers tower. You can tell that they have become good friends and that Sam is someone that Steve really trusts and it just reminded me so much of the comics.
  • In the comics, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch’s father is Magneto (X-Men). This movie totally changed that and made them receive their powers after being experimented on with Loki’s scepter and their father died during a bombing attack. Definitely more Marvel and Fox issues.
  • I liked the idea of the satellite that stored Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armor was called Veronica. Whedon said it came about because in the Hulk comic, Bruce’s girlfriend was Betty. In the Archie Comics, the two girls always after Archie were Betty and Veronica.
  • That Maria Hill “testosterone joke” fell flat and there were a few jokes that they should have left on the cutting room floor.
  • Black Widow riding a motorcycle and yelling “beep beep” reminded me of Jake Lloyd in The Phantom Menace yelling “Yippee!” Shouldn’t have been in there.
  • Ultron singing Pinocchio’s “Ive Got No Strings On Me.” I am pretty sure they cut out a lot of the story behind that. From what I read in the past, Tony would use his automated Iron Man Army, which he called the Iron Legion, as disposable and expendable AI robots. Ultron’s original form was one of the Iron Legion and he did not like the idea that Tony was treating his AI robots as slaves and if they couldn’t be fixed, Tony would just recycle them. Thus the strings reference was Ultron revolting against the puppet master.
  • I like how Wakanda was brought into the story and it does pave the way for Black Panther to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
  • They added a whole load of character development to Hawkeye’s character by introducing his wife and kids. Yes it was nice, but a lot of that was not needed and should have been cut from the film. We definitely didn’t need to hear Hawkeye’s wife say that there was something between Natasha and Bruce. No way could she have spotted that in a few seconds unless she has powers too.
  • When the Hulk flew off in the Quinjet at the end, it could have laid the perfect foundation for a Hulk solo movie and that would have been Planet Hulk. They kind of ruined it by having Nick Fury telling the Black Widow that his people found something near an ocean. But after seeing it a second time he does say that there was a stealth mode on the jet and he wasn’t certain if it was the jet. So who knows. Maybe he did take the Quinjet into space, went into a wormhole and ended up on the other side of the galaxy or universe.
  • I thought Samuel L Jackson was great in this and this was my favorite Nick Fury movie.
  • During the point where the Avengers are preparing to go after Ultron, there is a scene where you can see Thor and Vision talking in private. Wonder if that will be shown in another movie about what was being talked about?
  • Even though Quicksilver died in the movie, I don’t think he will remain dead for good. That Hawkeye took his dead body with him means it was taken for a reason. Plus his cells are very fast and they could, maybe, heal themselves. Also The Infinity Gauntlet can bring people back from the dead. He’ll be back.
  • I’m kind of surprised that the Hulk didn’t say any words in this movie. You also can tell that The Hulk has some of Banner’s intelligence if he was able to get on the Quinjet and know that he had to leave the team behind for their own good.
  • Was kind of surprised that Captain America and Iron Man left on good terms. Thought that with them having problems was going to lead to even larger issues in Civil War. Scarlet Witch did have a good line comparing Ultron to Tony and that Tony sometimes thinks he is doing what is right for everyone that he doesn’t see that he may be doing wrong.
  • The new Avengers that Cap forms really is a motley crew. Captain America, Black Widow, Vision, War Machine, Falcon and Scarlet Witch. Wouldn’t be my first choice. That’s what happened when Marvel properties are scattered among different studios. Would have been nice to have seen Captain America, Spider-Man, Vision, Scarlet Witch and Wolverine. But that aint happening….yet.
  • Cutting out Caps last line of “Avengers Assemble” in the movie was kind of cruel to comic book fans by Joss Whedon. The first time I saw it, I thought it was funny, but the second time I saw it, I was kind of annoyed that he did that. He definitely did that to mess with the fans. Mission accomplished, Joss.

The Second “Star Wars Antholgy” Film Delayed Till 2019; Director Josh Trank Fired

fdfddfdf

Josh Trank (“Chronicle”) was let go by Disney and Lucasfilm as the director of the second “Star Wars Anthology” film. The result of him being dropped means that there will be no “Star Wars” film in 2018. Disney originally planned to release a Star Wars film ever year beginning with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Recently Josh Trank was scheduled to be a guest speaker at a Star Wars Celebration panel to discuss his upcoming Star Wars spinoff movie but was a no show. Attendees were told that Trank was suffering from the flu but a lot of people speculated that something was up. Variety has indeed confirm that Trank was let go by Disney and Lucasfilm.

The Hollywood Reporter says that most of this stems from Trank’s antics on the set of his movie, “Fantastic Four.” Trank was described by some as being erratic and very isolated and would not respond to questions on the set and resorted to hiding at times. He also rented a house in New Orleans while filming Fantastic Four and caused over $100,000 worth of damage to the house.

It does appear that Trank’s mild success from filming the movie “Chronicle” has gone to his head and both Disney and Lucasfilm were worried to hand over a Star Wars film to him.

VanityFair.com has released online a preview of the upcoming issue which finally reveals that Adam Driver will be playing Kylo Ren. Prior to this, it was just assumed that Driver was Kylo Ren. They also reveal that Lupita Nyong’o’s is indeed a CGI character and she will be playing Maz Kanata, some kind of space pirate. They also hint that the reason why we have yet to hear Daisy Ridley’s character’s Rey’s last name is because it is a familiar name, either Skywalker or Solo.

Vanity Fair has also released a behind the scenes video of the special Star Wars photo shoot by Annie Leibovitz.

Vanity Fair has just announced that during their interview with Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, she confirmed that they are working on a sequel to “Indiana Jones”.

Kennedy confirmed rumors that another Indy movie “will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.”

Not much to go on but the good news is that they are talking about it. Will Harrison Ford be back? Will Steven Spielberg be back?

Game Informer just released their June cover and it showcases some of the new characters coming to Disney Infinity 3.0. Not only is Star Wars coming to Disney Infinity 3.0 but you will have your choice between Original Trilogy and Prequel play sets. On top of that, they are adding play sets for “Inside Out” and “Avengers: Age Of Ultron.” They are also releasing Classic Mickey and Minnie, Mulan and “TRON: Legacy” characters.

Game Informer also released a behind the scenes video previewing Disney Infinity 3.0:

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnU4CTCa3Dc]

Disney Infinity 3.0 is catering to both audiences. Avalanche returns at the head of development while recruiting other studios to work on specific packs and systems. Ninja Theory’s (Devil May Cry, Heavenly Sword) pack-in playset, Twilight of the Republic, follows Anakin and Ahsoka as they fight to uncover who’s behind a freshly minted droid army. The story is set after Star Wars: Episode II, and it features land and space battles with plenty of melee combat. Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Darth Maul can enter the fray, too, as separately sold figures. Studio Gobo’s (Disney Infinity’s Pirates of the Caribbean playset) Rise Against the Empire is a highlight reel of sorts that follows the events of the classic trilogy. Luke and Leia tangle with Darth Vader and his forces through memorable sequences, including the battle of Yavin as well as time on Hoth and Tatooine. Chewbacca, Han Solo, and Darth Vader figures will be available individually. Star Wars characters can cross over between the Star Wars playsets, too, which could lead to some canonically unsound (but fun) scenarios.

Another Star Wars playset is coming this winter based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. There are also sets based on Pixar’s Inside Out – with figures based on Joy, Disgust, Anger, Fear, and Sadness – and one from United Front Games (Sleeping Dogs) focused on Marvel characters including Hulkbuster Iron Man, Ultron, and more. Additional figures for Disney Infinity 3.0 include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Sam Flynn and Quorra from Tron: Legacy, Mulan, Olaf, and more. The Toy Box is getting special attention, too, with the addition of an updated hub world, toys for new players and experts, and the addition of an all-new farming system. May the pitchforks be with you.

Disney Infinity 3.0 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, iOS, and Android this fall. The Starter Pack is priced at $64.99. A new batch of Power Discs are also coming, with a twist: They won’t be in blind bags anymore. You can see what you’re getting before you buy them.

The next trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will make its premier on April 16th to attendees at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA.

When will we see it? Disney hasn’t said anything other than it will be attached to “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” but I have a feeling that we may see the trailer shortly after it premiers at Star Wars Celebration. “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” open in the US on May 1st but will open in Europe on April 22nd.  Expect to see something appear online during the fourth week of April or possibly during the weekend of Celebration.

Last year, MakingStarWars.com posted the description of “The Force Awakens” teaser before it debuted and they were spot on. Now Making Star Wars has information as to what we will see in the newest trailer for “The Force Awakens.”

  • Han, Leia, Artoo and Threepio.
  • We do see Yavin in the teaser.
  • We see a shot of Finn with a blue lightsaber.
  • There is a shot of Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), the chrome Stormtrooper, very briefly.
  • We do see Kylo Ren’s helmeted face.
  • We see Poe Dameron shoot down a TIE fighter.
  • A shot of Finn and Poe walking past one another at the base.
  • Rey is in a few shots.
  • There is a shot of Poe Dameron, Artoo-Detoo, See-Threepio, and a CGI character (Rose).
  • BB-8 socketed in the back of an X-wing.
  • Kylo Ren’s Imperial shuttle flies by with TIE escorts to the Star Destroyer (it is the one MakingStarWars.net wrote about).
  • Star Destroyer(s).
  • The Falcon.
  •  X-wing fighters flying in a V-shape formation.
  • Darth Vader’s helmet sitting on a podium.

Is This Our First Look at Charlie Cox as “Daredevil” in His Red Costume?

0tmX52a

A promotional photo of what appears to be Charlie Cox in the red “Daredevil” costume recently hit the net. We still are not sure if this is official or fan-made but to me this looks pretty damn good. I’m hoping this is real but it’s not official until we get confirmation from Netflix, Marvel or Disney.

Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super Hero ‘Daredevil’ in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Marvel’s “Daredevil” premiers this Friday, April 10th on Netflix!

*UPDATE: It’s real! Marvel just released this new motion trailer with the red suit!

The “Fantastic Four”…. No More

Fantastic_Four_645_Cover

Marvel recently revealed the cover for issue #645 of the Fantastic Four and what makes this significant is that this is the final issue of the Fantastic Four. This is clearly a shout out to Fox that they are cancelling the series because of Fox’s upcoming reboot movie of the “Fantastic Four”. Just compare the comic book cover with the official movie poster for Fox’s “Fantastic Four” and you can see that Marvel is making a statement as to who is responsible for the death of the Fantastic Four. Although Marvel has never officially said this, it is obvious that they don’t want to provide any free marketing for Fox’s Fantastic Four movie. I am sure the Fantastic Four will be back in the comics after the release of the movie on home video.

Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund will return for ‘TRON 3’

13961-sam-flynn-and-quorra-tron-legacy-1920x1080-movie-wallpaper

According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund will return to reprise their roles as Quorra and Sam Flynn in the upcoming sequel to “TRON: Legacy,” which is for now tentatively titled “TRON 3.” Disney has yet to make an official announcement on casting, story or the official title, although recent speculation has said that the movie will be called “TRON: Accession.” Disney is probably holding back on releasing any information until D23, which will take place in August of this year.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund are set to return for Disney’s Tron 3.

The pair will reprise their characters from 2010’s Tron: Legacy in the sequel that is being directed by Joseph Kosinski.

Legacy was the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi film that took place inside a computer world known as the Grid and starred Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner. While not a hit at the time, it later drew a big cult following and became an influence on filmmakers and pop culture.

Decades later, Disney revisited the world with Legacy. The story revealed that the computer programmer character played by Bridges had a son (Hedlund) who jumps into the Grid to find his father. Wilde was Quorra, an algorithm made flesh who also happened to kick butt.

Disney has been developing a sequel to Legacy since the movie grossed $400 million worldwide. Hedlund in 2012 said he would return to the visual effects-heavy franchise but that was when the project was circling a 2014 start.

The project is now looking to shoot this fall, likely in Vancouver. Plot details are being kept offline.
