PHOTOS: Merchandise Revealed for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is returning to Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort on select nights starting November 7, 2016. Here’s a brief look at the commemorative merchandise created for this year’s event.

A new limited edition retail MagicBand was created for the event. This MagicBand will have an edition size of 3,000 and will be presented in a decorative box.

Guests will also find short and long-sleeved apparel for both adults and kids.

Annual Passholders will find a special t-shirt designed just for them. This shirt contains the overall event logo on the back of the shirt with “Passholder” printed on the sleeve.

Other commemorative products include a holiday ornament featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and a new D-Tech on Demand case available for select mobile devices in the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.

A limited release logo pin will be found at several locations throughout the park. Disney will also release a limited edition pin only available to Annual Passholders. This pin will have an edition size of 3,000.

This year’s limited edition pin collection includes hinged pins that open to reveal classic Disney characters including Lilo and Stitch or Beast and Belle. Each pin will have an edition size of 5,300.

The jumbo-sized, limited edition pin featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Pluto enjoying as sleigh ride will have an edition size of 1,000.

The box set (edition size 1,000) contains the individual limited edition pins and a special completer pin with WALL-E and Eve. The framed pin set (edition size 300) will contain all the individual limited edition pins, the boxed set completer pin, and another completer pin featuring Santa Claus.

Here are the best places to find these items at Magic Kingdom Park during the party. Please note that all items will be available while supplies last.

Storybook Circus – Big Top Souvenirs (apparel, retail MagicBand, pins)
Liberty Square – Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe (apparel, logo pin, ornament)

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is held on select nights, November 7 – December 22, and is separate from regular Magic Kingdom Park admission. Tickets are available now.

PHOTOS: Awesome New Cinderella Castle Playset Released at Walt Disney World

A brand new version of the Cinderella Castle play set was just released and Walt Disney World and it is pretty awesome.

The new playset retains for $89.99 and functions with many of the Princess collection figures. The play set itself includes 4 figures: Cinderella, Prince Charming, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

The play set has 2 electronic features activated by buttons: sound effects and a fireworks effect. There is a host of other features as well, as you can see on the packaging.

New Dooney & Bourke Bags Featuring Theme Park Icons, Disney Cats, & More Coming This Month

Disney today announced several new handbags by Dooney & Bourke will be released this month in select locations at Disney Parks and via the Shop Disney Parks mobile app. These Disney-inspired handbags were created especially for Disney Parks.

The Disney Villains Collection by Dooney & Bourke

The Disney Villains collection is currently available in select locations at Disney Parks. The three bag collection includes a Tote, a Letter Carrier, and a Wristlet.

On Friday, November 18, Disney will be holding a special release party at Cherry Tree Lane in the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs Marketplace. At this event, they will release two handbag collections.

The Retro Sticker Collage Collection by Dooney & Bourke

The Walt Disney World Toile Collection by Dooney & Bourke

The Retro Sticker Collage collection includes three silhouettes – a Wristlet, a Large Letter Carrier, and a Tote. The Walt Disney World Toile collection will have a Large Letter Carrier, a Tote, and a Hobo Satchel.

During this special event, guests will have an opportunity to meet Ian Ray, Creative Director for Dooney & Bourke from 10:30am-12:00pm.

The Retro Sticker Collage collection will also be released on November 18 at Disneyland Resort.

The Disney Cat Collection by Dooney & Bourke

There are two additional collections that will be released on the Shop Disney Parks app in November. The first collection – Princess Keys – will launch on November 14, while the Disney Cat-themed collection will be introduced on the app starting November 28.

In addition to Shop Disney Parks app, guests may find select styles on the Disney Parks online store.

While visiting Disney Springs over the weekend, I couldn’t help but notice that it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

It’s almost Halloween, but it’s now full speed towards the Christmas holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort. Apparently, an entire, HUGE Christmas store in Disney’s Days of Christmas just isn’t enough for Disney Springs, so holiday merchandise has now taken over what was the Wonderful World of Memories shop (located between Hanes Design-A-Tee and The Art of Disney). This is located literally right across the path from Days of Christmas as well.

Now, we already previewed all off the great new ornaments for 2016 in our last Disney Springs photo report, including the Pluto reindeer ear hat seen above, so go check that out if you haven’t.

The continued growth in the popularity of some of the older films in the Disney library is showcased this year, with Bambi taking center stage with an entire ceramic kitchen collection.

Even friend Owl is in on the fun. He is $16.99.

The Thumper gravy boat is $26.99.

Bambi and Flower retail at $19.99 each.

The teapot features Mickey and Minnie Mouse on the front, but…

Some of the animal characters from Sleeping Beauty can be found on the back.

Some of the shirts feature a few more obscure characters in plush form on a tree. Keep this in mind for later…

Remember those plush characters on the tree in some of the merchandise? Well, Disney made those plush as ornaments you can buy. They feel a bit pricey at $16.99 each, but it is a rather fun assembly of characters, including Meeko from Pocahontas above.

The rather cute collection includes Chip, Dale, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Flower, Thumper, Bambi, Meeko, Robin Hood, Olaf, Sven, and the three bear brothers from Brave.

This tin Countdown to Christmas sign is pretty neat as well.

Guests at Disney Parks will soon be able to wear classic theme park attraction posters and character on their feet with new socks coming from the Twenty-Eight and Main collection:

Fantastic Vintage-Style Theme Park Attraction Art Coming to Disney Springs This Weekend

About the Artist – Dave Perillo

Living in Philadelphia, Dave Perillo works as an Illustrator. He draws inspiration from many notable television, film noirs, cartoons, and character advertising icons. Dave began his career working as an illustrator in the glamorous world of medical publishing. After countless drawings of dancing kidneys and otoscopes, he felt a need to feed his creative juices and began to create his own pop culture inspired art. This path launched him into a world of comic conventions, art galleries and freelance design.

PHOTOS: First Look at New Star Wars Items Coming to Disney Parks This Fall

Disney today shared a preview of new Star Wars-themed products coming to the Disney Parks this fall.

One of the coolest items has to be the Imperial Comlink Bluetooth Communicator. A comlink is a standard handheld communication device used by the Empire. You might recall seeing it used in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope when Luke Skywalker communicates from the trash compactor with C-3PO.

This Bluetooth enabled device allows you to take calls and play music when connected to your smart device. It’s rechargeable and comes with a belt clip.

Arriving in mid-December, guests will find a new remote controlled Mouse Droid. You may also recall seeing this droid in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope when Chewbacca roars at one while on the Death Star. This remote control droid makes sounds and includes rechargeable batteries.

On October 17, Disney will release three new Dooney & Bourke handbags inspired by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Look for these handbags in The Star Trader at Disneyland park in California or Legends of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.

Fans of Star Wars Droid Factory at Disney Parks will find two new carded Astromech droid action figures this fall. The R2-B00 figure is currently available, while the R2-H16 droid will be released during the upcoming holiday season.

Speaking of droids, guests can keep warm this fall with new blankets inspired by BB-8 and R2-D2.

Coming soon to the Disney Parks online store, there will be a second collection of Ewok plush. This collection of six plush includes a variant Wicket, Tokkat, Latara, Widdle, Shodu and Winda. The basket will also have Kaink who will also be released individually at Disney Parks in December.

Finally, the Starspeeder 1000 playset we showed you in a recent photo report is now available. You may recall this playlet was first introduced in 2011. This playset has been updated with a new interchangeable destination disk featuring Jakku from Star Wars The Force Awakens. When placed in the front screen of the toy vehicle, you can hear dialogue from the Star Tours – The Adventures Continue attraction.

In the spirit of the Rose and Crown Pub and Biergarten having their own merchandise, now the famous Le Cellier steakhouse in Canada at Epcot has its own line of merchandise.

The merchandise can be found only at the Canada pavilion Trading Post, fittingly.

The sweatshirt retails for $59.99.

The baseball cap is $24.99.

Disney Store Introduces Theme Park Attraction Coin “Park Pack” Subscription Box

The Park Pack Disney subscription boxes have been among the most popular items sold by DisneyStore.com. So far, the subscription boxes have been limited to Disney Pins, Ear Hat Ornaments, and a one-time Disneyland 60th anniversary box. Now, the latest Park Pack celebrates Disney theme park attractions with a monthly limited edition coin release.

The collection has begun with a coin for the Haunted Mansion, celebrating the attraction on both coasts.

The coins are available through either a $29.99 monthly subscription or a $300.00 annual subscription that will basically make two of the coins free with purchase.
