Tons of New Mouse-Eared Headwear Coming to Disney Parks This Fall, Rose Gold Returning

It seems that Disney has taken serious note of all the fan-made Mouse Ears that have become increasingly popular in recent years.

Releasing over the course of the Fall season, Disney has created a bunch of new Mouse Ears to appeal to fans of all iconic Disney designs and colors.

Disney has prefaced the announcement with news that more of the incredibly popular rose gold headbands will be available sometime in November.

In addition to all the new headbands, Disney in also releasing a line of interchangeable bows to accompany the many new headbands. These bows resemble a variety of Disney characters, as well as designs that are synonymous with some classic Disney films. The best part is that these bows are available now.

 width=

Disney has also released three holiday-themed headbands that we showed you earlier this week. Festive.

 width=

If headbands aren’t your thing, Disney also has a few new ear hats on the way. As of now, we only know that they are also being released this fall, so expect to see them all in the parks soon after Halloween. We actually spotted the baseball caps yesterday at Hollywood Studios.

All of the new headwear will be available throughout Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. Some of the headbands and hats will also be available on the Shop Disney Parks app and shopDisney.com.

PHOTOS: Haunted Mansion “Stretching Room Parasol Tightrope Girl” Dress Coming Soon to Disney Parks

The Dress Shop in the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs is currently previewing a new dress from Her Universe inspired by The Haunted Mansion…

 width=

The dress is inspired by the “Parasol Tightrope Girl” who appears in one of the stretching room portraits in the classic Disney Parks attraction. She famously walks a tightrope above a vicious crocodile in one of the four portraits in the ride. This dress, as well as another Mansion design and the Mad Tea Party tea cup dress,聽were announced previously at Star Wars Celebration 2017 in April of this year.

 width=

The dress itself will retail for somewhere in the $190-200 range, while the cape will be sold separately at a yet to be disclosed price.

The dress is set to be released sometime in November 2017.

I’m not sure that “Always Exciting” is how I would describe New Jersey… 馃槈

BREAKING: Disneyland Adding FastPass, MaxPass to “it’s a small world” Holiday in 2017

When “it’s a small world” Holiday returns to the Disneyland Resort on November 10th, 2017, it will offer both FastPass and MaxPass to allow guests to more quickly experience this very popular attraction.

 width=

“it’s a small world” Holiday often proves quite popular, so it has been surprising to see FastPass not in use over all these years, despite that it was one of the first Disneyland attractions to ever use the service back in 1999. This year, it will offer MaxPass as well, allowing guests to book the ride reservations digitally on their phones via the Disneyland app.

Disney has stated that this will be a test of the service at the attraction, and should it prove popular, FastPass and MaxPass will become regular offerings at “it’s a small world” throughout the year.

PHOTOS: PIXAR Place at Hollywood Studios Sealed Behind Star Wars & Toy Story Land Wall

When Toy Story Land opens in 2018, PIXAR Place will close for an entirely new guest flow in Disney鈥檚 Hollywood Studios. Guests will go around what is now PIXAR Place to access the park鈥檚 two new lands come next year. In preparation, the wall of landscaping that will seal off PIXAR Place from guests is now in place.

This green barrier can be seen in the Toy Story Land model. PIXAR Place and the alley behind it will be a cast member access road no longer accessible to guests.

PIXAR Place will likely close next Summer when Toy Story Land opens to guests.

Disney World to Extend 60-Day Advance FastPass+ Booking to Guests at Select Non-Disney Hotels

While Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests (and those at the Swan and Dolphin) have been able to book FastPass + reservations for 60 days prior to their visit, it now seems that Disney will roll-out the same benefit to multiple Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels, including those on Hotel Plaza Boulevard near Disney Springs.

Holiday Inn on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel

While a complete list is not available as of yet, we know that these non-Disney hotels will be able to offer their guests the 60-day FastPass booking window sometime before the end of 2017. These bookings will still be done through the MyDisneyExperience app, the same way other resort guests make the advance FastPass+ reservations.

We expect every hotel in the Disney Springs Resort Area on Hotel Plaza Boulevard to be included, but there should also be additional Good Neighbor Hotels on the list when announced by Disney.

Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and all other guests with linked tickets receive a 30-day booking window currently.

REVIEW: Pumpkin Creme Br没l茅e & Seasonal Mickey Mousse at Amorette’s Patisserie, Disney Springs

For the Fall season,聽Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs if offering up a number of special treats…

 width=

Pumpkin Creme Br没l茅e ($6.00)

 width=

Pumpkin custard with br没l茅ed sugar chantilly cream and chocolate garnish.

 width=

My enjoyment of pumpkin desserts usually begins and ends with pumpkin pie, but I think I loved this more than any pumpkin pie I have ever had in my life. First of all, it is made when you order it and not “br没l茅ed” until you do. I feel like this makes a big difference and it’s a nice touch to make the dessert feel special to a guest. Whether you like pumpkin or not, I feel like this is worth a shot, so hurry and get it while it is here.

Mickey Mousse ($8.00)

 width=

Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Dark Chocolate Mousse and White Chocolate Mousse

 width=

While it is only decorated specially for the season and not any different in flavor from the usual, the Mickey Mousse is quite enjoyable still. Again, my number one choice would be the creme br没l茅e, but this isn’t a bad option either, especially if you are looking for chocolate. The mousse is light and airy and the cake isn’t super dense, but is rich in flavor.

REVIEW: New 7-Layer Rice Bowl and Coco Cupcake at Fairfax Fare, Disney’s Hollywood Studios

We of course reviewed Fairfax Fare on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios when the menu went tex-mex聽almost one year ago. Well, now a new option has joined the menu, a 7(Yeah, 7)-Layer Rice Bowl.

 width=

The rice bowl replaces the Loaded Baked Potato,聽which has been a staple here for the last few years.

 width=

The Coco Dulce de Leche Cupcake is also here, but is available at several locations throughout the park.

 width=

7-Layer Rice Bowl – ($11.29)

 width=

The rice bowl comes in three varieties: pulled pork, grilled chicken, or vegan chili. We went with the pork and the vegan chili versions.

 width=

Without diving into them, it is really hard to tell which one is which thanks to the plethora of other ingredients in the dish. That being said, there is plenty of the main course underneath all of that in both versions. Above is the vegan chili, below is the pulled pork, neither in an actual bowl.

 width=

The menu describes the items as “Pulled Pork served over Cilantro Rice, Black Beans, Roasted Corn Medley, Pico de Gallo and Sour Cream topped with Cheddar served with warm Tortillas” and “Vegan Chili served over Cilantro Rice, Black Beans, Roasted Corn Medley, Pico de Gallo and Sour Cream topped with Cheddar served with warm Tortillas”. You can also add “guacamole” for $1.00…

 width=

Here is the “Wholly Guacamole” you get for your dollar. It is not very good.

 width=

Overall, the rice bowls are pretty good and you likely get a lot more of everything than you would with the fajita dish from here, so the question really is do you want to eat with your hands or a fork. Personally, I think you can do a lot worse with counter service at Hollywood Studios, so Fairfax is still number 1-2 on my list. These aren’t terrible, but they aren’t life changing either, but in terms of size, they are a pretty decent value comparably with other quick serve items at the Studios.

Coco Dulce de Leche Cupcake ($5.99)

 width=

The Coco cupcake is one of the better ones in recent memory, featuring a vanilla cake, colorful icing, and a center filled with sweet dulce de leche.

 width=

 width=

It’s deftly worth a try if it’s there on your next visit.

The Rest

Again, if you would like a review of the other items at Fairfax Fare, please check out our previous review.
