BREAKING: Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark Ride Announced

Halloween Time at Disneyland is expanding to include Disney California Adventure this year with “Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark”.

Your adventure picks up moments after the events of the popular Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction. The Guardians have successfully escaped The Collector’s Fortress, but they have accidentally left Groot behind! Rocket enlists you to distract the creatures that have been released so he can find and rescue his little buddy. While The Collector’s ever-resourceful assistant, Apheta, may try to assure you that it is all just a momentary setback, Disney advises you to proceed with caution!

Once the sun sets each evening during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will transform into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Music continues to be at the heart of the experience, and an all-new song, “Monsters After Dark,” was created especially for this attraction by Tyler Bates, composer of the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort kicks off on September 15th.

Multiple Downtown Disney Stores Closing to Make Way for New Dining

The Ridemakerz, Build-A-Bear Workshop, and Chapel Hats stores at Downtown Disney Anaheim will be closing to make way for new dining in the coming months.

While the replacement for these shops has not been announced, the closures come at a time of rapid change for the district. Splitsville Luxury Lanes is currently under construction in the former home of the House of Blues, and more changes are expected to be on the way as part of the makeover of Downtown Disney.

It is unlikely that any of these closing stores will relocate to a new location within Downtown Disney, but Chapel Hats may receive an outdoor stand similar to one that they operate at Disney Springs, Walt Disney World.

In January, Disney stated that the cost would be $10 per day, but there will also be an annual charge available for annual passholders. No pricing or other info is available at this time.

D23 Expo Rumors – A List of Every Announcement Expected for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

The last month leading to the D23 Expo 2017 has been a crazy one, as there is a larger than usual list of expected announcements for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek to make on Saturday, July 15th at 3pm. Below, we cover what we expect to be announced. While not all of these will likely be “confirmed” come this weekend, they are highly likely to be.

Unlikely rumors that could see announcement on Saturday include the Star Wars Luxury Hotel, Zootopia at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the DVC wing of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and a massive expansion of Walt Disney Studios Paris, but the timing for these doesn’t seem right, whether they are going to happen or not.

Stay tuned for updates from the presentation when it begins at 3pm Pacific time today!

VIDEO: Controversial New Auction Scene Debuts in Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Paris, Other Additions

Today we are getting a first look at the new auction scene for Pirates of the Caribbean coming to the U.S. parks thanks to the soft-opening of the Disneyland Paris attraction from its multi-month renovation.

The scene has been changed from the selling of the redhead to the selling of treasures, as expected. I have requested the translation of the scene from a good friend (Hi Steph!) and the main gist of the new scene is that the auctioneer is now ready to start the auction, but remarks that the jewels are a bit garbage. He also remarks about the shyness of the redhead.

The new anamatronics are very convincing, but it seems to have lost the heart of the original scenes. The video below also includes other changes and additions to the attraction.

What do you think of the new scene? Do you think it’s a worthy replacement? Let us know in the comments!
