APPLY NOW: Become A Contestant on ‘WDWNT: The Dating Game’ (We’re Serious)

WDW News Tonight debuted just last week, but we’re already pushing the envelope with something you’ve never seen before…

Disney online dating seems to be something we are seeing a lot of right now, so in the spirit of all of the WDWNT game shows that have come before it, we are proud to announce WDWNT: The Dating Game!

In the game, an eligible bachelor or bachelorette will get to ask 5 total questions one at a time to each of 3 eligible dates. The eligible daters have a :45 second time limit to finish their answer. At the end of the questioning, the contestant must pick one of the three. They then agree to go on one date at a restaurant at Walt Disney World paid for by WDWNT. The date would then be recapped on a future episode of WDW News Tonight.

Here are the rules and disclaimers:

  • All contestants must live in the Central Florida area or be willing to commute for a date.
  • All contestants must be 18 years old or older.
  • All potential contestants must fill out the questionnaire below.
  • Potential contestants apply in general to be on the game show. WDWNT LLC will choose who gets to be a contestant and who is a Bachelor(ette).
By applying, you are agreeing to the following:
  • You may appear on WDW News Tonight on February 10, 2016 between 9p-11p EST via phone, Skype, Google hangout or in person.
  • You may appear on a future edition of WDW News Tonight.
  • You agree to go on one date at a restaurant at Walt Disney World paid for by WDWNT.
  • You agree to have the date recorded (audio and video) and release your image and likeness to be used by WDWNT online and in other mediums.
  • An interview to be conducted by a WDWNT staff member to validate your eligibility.

This Week on WDW News Tonight (2/10/16): The Dating Game, 15 Years of DCA, & Political Correctness at Disney Parks

wdwnewtonight-podcast-transparent

Last week, WDW News Tonight debuted to a record live audience and has since been watched or listened to on demand thousands of times. This week, we continue to push the envelope by making a Disney love connection, talking political correctness, and playing probably the most ridiculous game you could imagine…

WDW News Tonight is hosted by Tom Corless and Nick LoCicero, former hosts of WDW News Today: The Radio Show, but also features appearances by a number of other WDWNT correspondents.

If you are in the Orlando area, you can tune in to AM 1520 WBZW at showtime. For those outside the Orlando area, the show can be heard (and now watched via video stream) at Listen.WDWNT.com on your computer or mobile device. The show also utilizes new interactive avenues for our audience, including a live chat, the ability to call-in to the show, and live polling.

The show will also be available for streaming and download the very next day at WDWNewsTonight.com. While this won’t offer the interactive features and excitement of listening live, it offers those who can’t catch the show on Wednesday night a chance be a part of the fun.

Coming up on this week’s show:

  • A recap of the week’s news (with a WDWNT comedic twist)
  • We’ll play a fairly amusing game related to the 15th anniversary of California Adventure for prizes from Theme Park Connection
  • “What did we just eat?” – A Disney dining review featuring Liberty Tree Tavern and the patented “4-CM” Blue Milkshake
  • “Tom and Nick are Angry About Things”
  • WDWNT: The dating Game – we’re going to try to make a real-life Disney love connection and then send two lovebirds on a (recorded) date at WDW
  • “WDWNT Now!” Tip of the Week
  • An in-depth discussion on romance at the Disney Parks, from the best restaurants, to other helpful tips for couples
  • Flash Back to the Future – An abbreviated version of the popular history segment from the WDW News Today Podcast
  • And much more!

We hope that you will tune in this Wednesday at 9PM ET for another episode of WDW News Tonight!

ON THE AIR NOW – WDWNT’s Historic 60-Hour-Live Broadcast to Benefit Toys for Tots: Everything You Need to Know

Every year since 2008, WDW News Today has hosted a charity drive to raise money for the Toys for Tots Foundation. To date, we have raised over $20,000 for this amazing organization with donations through our website and those made during our annual WDWNT Live! program on Thanksgiving weekend. This year, we are taking the event to a whole new level, and we are asking you to be a part of this holiday tradition where we continue Walt Disney’s dream and try to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

Over 60 years ago, Walt Disney became one of the original sponsors of the Toys for Tots foundation, which ensures that every underprivileged child receives a toy during the holiday season. Walt and his animators personally designed the original Toys for Tots train logo that is still used today and the first poster created for Toys for Tots. It was also 60 years ago that Walt’s dream of Disneyland and the Disney Parks began, so…

60-hr-show

In this spirit, WDW News Today and our many friends and partners are putting on our first-ever 60-HOUR live broadcast to raise money for Toys for Tots. We hope you will join us beginning at 9AM ET on November 27, 2014 when the broadcast begins and will help us by making a donation to this great cause at toys.WDWNT.com.

We are proud to announce Theme Park Connection once again as the official sponsor of this year’s show and charity drive. As part of their sponsorship, they are accepting cash and/or sealed, brand-new toy donations in-person at their Orlando store location and providing prizes for all of the many games that will be played during the course of the live program.

A portion of our 60-hour broadcast will be conducted live from their store on Friday, November 27th, from 9:00AM until 5:00PM EST. You are invited to watch us broadcast live or even be a part of the show in-person during this period. Theme Park Connection can be visited online at ThemeParkConnection.com or at their physical store location at 2160 Premier Row in Orlando, Florida, near the Florida Mall.

For the first-time-ever, there will also be an in-person portion happening at the Walt Disney World Resort on Saturday, November 28th from 1:00PM-5:00PM at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. This portion of the show will include “Cooking with Nick”, as Nick LoCiciero of WDWNT: The Radio Show tries to convince us that he can make several dishes from the Epcot Food & Wine Festival even better than the Disney chefs can. This event will also include additional surprises, but requires pre-registration to attend. To pre-register, send an email to wdwnewstoday@gmail.com with your name, how many are in your party, and if you or anyone in your party has any food allergies. Of those who email, a select few will e chosen to attend due to the size of the venue. If chosen, you will receive an email by midnight EST on Friday November 27th with the exact location of the event.
