Disney Mozart: A Pint Sized Speculation

Hey y’all! Tis been a long time, but this is my first article in a while. I am going to use this article to speculate on the upcoming Snow White and the Seven Dwarves Junior set. I’m skipping the ‘This and That’ set, because I don’t really get the concept. So here goes with the speculation.

1-Happy

2-Sleepy

3-Dopey

4-Grumpy

5-Bashful

6-Doc

7-Sneezy

8-Snow White (Possible Variant-Awake and Asleep or at the well in her brown dress)

Awake
Asleep
Brown Dress

9-Prince

10-Queen Grimheld

11-Hag

12-Magic Mirror (I would love to see some use of smoky clear on this one)

13-Huntsmen (Possible Hat or Dagger Accessories)

14-Witch’s Raven

15-Vulture (I only think there’ll be one because they’re exactly the same in the movie)

16-Apple (Possible Variant-Poison Apple)

Apple
Poison Apple

17-Prince’s Horse (Chaser 1)

18-Jewels from the Dwarfs’ Mine (Chaser 2) This could be really cool if they use clear

This is what I think will end up being the line up, but feel free to comment with what y’all think. Until next time y’all.

Disney Mozart: Speculation on Villains 3

This is DisneyMozart picking up the baton again. Today I will be doing a little speculation on the much anticipated summer set, Villains 3. The two previous installments of Villains have absolutely wowed me and I expect that Disney is going to nothing short of phenomenal on this series. I would love to see them pull in a few Villains that are played up at the parks, but not as popular in the movies. Also, as they have been so focused on the pairs as of late, I think we could see a series setup like this: 4 pairs, 1 trio, and the chaser. So, without further ado, here comes the speculation!!! To start out-

Anastasia, Drizella, and Lucifer

These two wicked stepsisters are always having Cinderella do their dirty work, and never feeling bad about it. While their kitty, Lucifer, is always tormenting Cindy and her animal friends. These three are an obvious choice to follow their wicked stepmother, Lady Tremaine, from the previous Villains 2 series.

Pain and Panic

Pain and Panic are Hades two henchmen in Hercules, and they are one of the most frantic pairs in Disney history. I think these have the right kind of look to fit on the mold, and like the trio before, a great follow up to Hades from Villains 2. I also think that a tail would be a must, and I think that horns might also look snazzy on the figures.

Gaston and Le Fou

It surprises me that neither of these Beauty and the Best bad guys have been done up to this point. A natural pair, these two would fit on the mold differently-I think Le Fou would fit better than Gaston because Le Fou has a fatter face. I think that it is time to finally put these two in a set!!!

Brer Fox and Brer Bear

These are two characters that are really popular in the Disney Parks (Splash Mountain), but somebody who doesn’t know a lot about Disney couldn’t tell you what movie they are from-The Song of the South. I would love a club accessory to go along with Brer Bear.

Heffalump and Woozle

These are the two that I am the most excited about!!! When I thought to add Heffalump and Woozle (Winnie the Pooh) to my speculation piece, I almost squealed! These two would look fantastic on the mold, and could very easily have multiple variants, much like the Pink Elephant from Animation 1. These are also villains that not everybody instantly thinks of, so a great obscure choice!

Chernabog (Chaser)

A desire from I think just about everybody and their dog. This would be absolutely the best chaser, EVER!!! Like from every set ever. Chernabog is just one of those scary characters that everybody loves!!! I really want this one to be made into a Vinylmation, it would make my entire life!

This is my dream Villains set! I don’t really think there is a figure that I speculated on that I wouldn’t love to have on my shelf. For this post, I think I’m about ready to put the conductor’s baton away. Stay tuned for a 9”/3” Villains 3 speculation piece in the next week. Over and out.

Pint Sized Disney: Autographed Jr.

Hi, I am DisneyMozart, and I would like to thank DV for the opportunity to write for them. I am located in Birmingham, AL and am a huge fan of the Junior Vinylmation because they are the perfect size to carry in your pocket. There are many great designs, and often times, they are the reason to purchase a 3’ 1.5’ combo set. But anyway, I love the Jr Vinylmation, and this column is where you will find a weekly review of some Jr Vinylmation.

This week, I’m going to start out with my current favorite Jr: Autographs from the Celebrations series, which was one of three possible juniors that came with the Occupations First Visit Balloon 3″.

I think that this junior is just perfect. There are no flaws that I can even think of. The coloring is awesome, the autographs are perfectly placed, and the symbols placed on the ears and around the signatures are in the best places possible. The characters’ autographs that were selected are exactly who should be featured…the three Disney guys that everyone loves. Only thing I can say, is that I would love to see this one in a 3’ version as well, but maybe add Daisy, Minnie, Pluto. That is all, and I will see y’all next time.

Pint Sized Disney: A Charming Use for Juniors

Instead of reviewing a Jr Vinylmation this week, I decided that I would let you in on a little thing that I love using my Jr figures for. All of my Jr Vinylmations have been used for this purpose, and it’s called phone charms.

Phone charms are a little way you can express yourself when you are all dressed up like a boring person. They so so much about a person; mine say that I love star Wars, Vinyl/ Disney, and I like alligators. My phone charm holster has three things on it: a Storm Trooper, a Black Cauldren Jr, and an alligator toe. And honestly, my vinyl is my favorite attachment right now!!! I think that phone charms are a cool way to use all of your favorite Jrs. What do your phone charms say about you?

Pint Sized Disney: Pepper Grinder Jr.

Last week, I raved over my favorite Jr Vinylmation, but not all Jrs are created equally. There are some that I think are not as well designed, and in general look sloppy. Let me introduce you to my absolute least favorite Jr ever:

Pepper Grinder from the Occupations Chef combo set.

It took me a good fifteen minutes to even figure out what this was. At first I thought that it was a gavel. My second guess… the vase optical illusion… nope. And then it hit me, it was with the chef, so it must have been a pepper grinder.

This is not a really well thought out design, so let’s take it apart. The head is 360, and looks like it might make a promising figure…so the head isn’t awful. Then we get to the body… yeah. The body isn’t 360 which takes away from the head being 360 and ruins the general effect. The curves of the grinder are not even and ends up making it look like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate River/ Waterfall. And then there are the feet… another fail. The stripe down the side takes away even more from the 360 effect, and the round on the foot on the far right image is less rounded than the other foot.

In general, this is not a good design, and makes me wish they had just scrapped it, and gone with another kitchen oriented thing, like a spork. That is all and I will see ya’ll next time.
