Previously beginning at 11:00AM every day, guests can now find FastPass reservations for Frozen Ever After at Epcot beginning at 9AM daily through the Walt Disney World website and the MyDisneyExperience app.
Frozen Ever After takes guests through the kingdom of Arendelle from the Disney animated hit, “Frozen.” Located in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, Frozen Ever After celebrates a “Summer Snow Day” on a journey through a frozen willow forest, past Troll Valley and up to Queen Elsa’s palace high up on the north mountain. Epcot is one of four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Matt Stroshane, photographer)
Up until this point, only standby was available for the first two hours of the day at the attraction, but now there will be FastPass reservations covering the entire operating day for the Epcot ride.
End your magical day with delectable desserts, VIP fireworks seating and some Frozen fun.
The celebration begins at World Showcase Plaza East, an exclusive setting for Guests of the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party. Here, you can enjoy sweet treats, specialty beverages and prime seating along World Showcase Lagoon—with clear views of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, the nighttime fireworks spectacular at Epcot.
The bountiful dessert buffet features sweet and savory options, which may include:
Olaf’s warm double-chocolate s’mores pudding cake
Elsa’s warm cottage pudding with salted caramel glaze
Hand-dipped vanilla bean ice cream
Wandering Oaken’s éclairons
Hans’ key lime tarts with red glitter glaze
Living Rock crispy bonbons
Anna’s blue velvet cupcakes
Kristoff’s no-sugar-added lemon curd with blueberry
Sven’s fresh fruits and berries
Grand Pabbie’s winter-spiced snack mix
Duke of Weselton’s cheese fondue served with country bread cubes, broccoli and grilled flatbread
You can raise a glass of your favorite beverage to toast your day of theme park adventures—and the enchantment to come. Drink selections may include:
“Melted snow” and other non-alcoholic beverages
Summertime cocktails, like margaritas and piña coladas
Beer and wine
After IllumiNations, you’ll be escorted to the Norway Pavilion, where Guests of the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party will experience the popular attraction Frozen Ever After—a musical boat-ride adventure through the wintry world of Arendelle.
The price for the party is up a bit from the former offering, with an adult ticket priced at $79 (ages 10 and up) and children $47 (ages 3-9), both including tax and gratuity.
We decided to go give the event a try as it seems to be quite popular, being sold out more often than not. Being the summer season, our venue for the drinks and desserts was moved indoors to the Norway lounge above the Frozen Ever After attraction. Typically, this portion is held outside where guests will also watch Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
Regardless of weather, event check-in is held just outside of the attraction.
Just off to the left of the attraction entrance, you’ll find the check-in spot. If weather is bad, this is also where you will head to enter the Norway lounge where drinks and desserts will be. Otherwise, you’ll head over to the space towards the front of World Showcase.
Once upstairs, we checked in to receive our assigned seats and are then lead to our shared table.
The podium had menus for both food and drink.
Tables are broken up by number and are lightly themed with Frozen character lanterns. Guests receive special glasses to wear during the fireworks that turns bursts of light into snowflakes. This is especially fun for the kids, also any 3-something Disney bloggers that may be in your party.
I was pretty excited to attend inside of the lounge as it is a fairly pleasant atmosphere. Sure, as a fan of EPCOT Center, I love these musty old lounges, but I think it fits this party quite well.
The dessert spread is pretty adorable and everything is themed well enough.
The blue velvet cupcakes certainly worked better as snowflakes rather than being associated with gangsters, as they were at our Great Movie Ride event…
The prescreens of fruit wasn’t odd, but the fondue area left me scratching my head a bit.
While the Star Wars and Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam Dessert Parties both have warm, non-dessert food, it didn’t feel as out of place as the bread and broccoli here. I’m not really complaining because it was fine, but most guests are probably ready for dessert at the dessert parties.
I probably could have spent the night at this pudding station and been quite happy with what I had paid to attend this. Elsa’s warm cottage pudding with salted caramel glaze is very good, but Olaf’s warm double-chocolate s’mores pudding cake steals the show, especially with a scoop of ice cream.
The not-advertised frozen caramel corn seemed fun, but wasn’t all that exciting to eat. I was ready to write this off until we had a similar offering at our Great Movie Ride event and it was ten times better there. Perhaps we just had a bad batch at Norway, but on the off-chance it might be as good as it was on August 11th at GMR, give this a try.
A selection of non-alcoholic drinks are available as well.
Here’s a closer look at some of the desserts:
The bar is capable of making 3 specialty beverages, but they also have a large selection of beer and wine.
The non-alcoholic drink station has two specialty offerings as well. They were both pretty enjoyable.
The advertised “melted snow” was nowhere to be found, but we tried all of the other specialty drinks.
The Pina Colada was good, although I always find it weird when this isn’t a frozen drink.
The margarita was fine as well, nothing special though.
The Sangria was way too sweet.
The desserts were pretty fantastic overall. Here’s a breakdown:
Elsa’s warm cottage pudding with salted caramel glaze (with the hand-dipped vanilla bean ice cream)
Wandering Oaken’s éclairons
Anna’s blue velvet cupcakes
“It’s Fine”:
Hans’ key lime tarts with red glitter glaze
Living Rock crispy bonbons
Grand Pabbie’s winter-spiced snack mix
Sven’s fresh fruit and berries
Nitros frozen caramel corn
Don’t Bother:
Kristoff’s no-sugar-added lemon curd with blueberry
Duke of Weselton’s cheese fondue served with country bread cubes, broccoli and grilled flatbread
I would come back just for the chocolate s’mores pudding cake…
I’d still give the popcorn another shot…
Obviously, the entire event takes place outside if the weather is nice, but in this case, we were then whisked outside to our private viewing space for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.
The viewing area was big enough and not overcrowded, and offered a pretty good view of the show. This area is located just to the left of the FastPass viewing area, in front of the small gift shop that flanks that side.
After the show, we were held for a few minutes while guests were leaving the park, and then it was on to Frozen Ever After.
We followed the guides past Mexico and into Norway, to the entrance of the attraction.
Once inside, we found that the standby queue had already been emptied for the night. I expected we would wait a few moments to board just because of the size of our group, but we literally never stopped moving once we entered the building and were on the ride in under a minute. I was very impressed.
I’d love to complain that this is another money grab event and that it is wildly overpriced and that no one should do it, but the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party doesn’t necessarily feel like a waste of time. The food lineup was very good, the drinks were solid, the view of IllumiNations was enjoyable, and the wait to ride Frozen Ever After was nonexistent, which in the end, is the entire point of this thing. If you can get a FastPass for Frozen Ever After, you really don’t need to do this, but if you want to enjoy bottomless desserts and drinks for a bit, watch IllumiNations without fighting a crowd, and don’t wait to wait to ride this, then the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party is a no-brainer. Families who are looking for more Frozen stuff to do should absolutely attend this, and if you really want the perks I listed above, you should as well, but otherwise, this isn’t something any other guest should go out of their way to do. That being said, there’s more than enough of the aforementioned families and guests to fill this event every night, and that’s why the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party is still pretty hard to find availability for.
The Frozen Ever After Dessert Party at Epcot is a solid upgrade over the Sparkling Dessert Party that opens the event up to more guests and makes seeing IllumiNations and Frozen Ever After a breeze. Oh, and did I mention the chocolate s’mores pudding cake?

Zoe just got back from Walt Disney World and has a slew of tales to tell. Frozen, MagicBands and Food are all topics of discussion. Gondolas at WDW? Star Wars Celebration, 40th anniversary and Force Friday all give us plenty of new merchandise to talk about. And Disneyland celebrates the Summer of Heroes this year, Brendt tells us all about that and other Marvel headlines. All this, Most Embarrassing Moments and more on JHP this week.
A few weeks ago, we were lamenting the loss of the Epcot park history timeline that once adorned the interior breezeway behind Club Cool, Epcot Character Spot, and Fountain View. Well, something pretty amazing happened yesterday…
Epcot Park History Timeline
THE TIMELINE IS BACK! Not only is it back, but it was completely refreshed from top to bottom, giving more details on park history and adding in changes to the parks made since this was introduced back in 2007 for the 25th anniversary of the park.

Welcome back to WDWNT’s Hostess with the Mostess! The best place for your weekly Disney fix! It has been unbelievable hot where I live! While swimming in my pool I was inspired to talk about the cool, refreshing, and exciting water rides of Walt Disney World.
If you are behind and missed last week’s post you can read it right here. As a little reminder, here is my list.
Kali River Rapids
My Top 5 Favorite Water Rides at Walt Disney World.
5. Maelstrom/Frozen Ever After
4. Jungle Cruise
3. Pirates of the Caribbean
2. Kali River Rapids
1. Splash Mountain
Now let’s see how you voted!
5.Frozen Ever After. Frozen did not get much love. Only two voters represented this new attraction. Is it because it’s just not a fan favorite or could it be because it’s so new and not many have ridden it yet? What do you think? I am very excited to take my first ride to Arendelle next month!
4.Jungle Cruisecame in at number four. I was surprised at first that this attraction did not make it further up on the list, but when I looked at the numbers it was only one vote away for tying for number three! Jungle Cruise is without a doubt on my “list.” You know the list that every Disney fanatic has … the attractions you would want to work on if you ever become a Disney Cast Member. I am sure I am not the only one … right? That just gave me a great idea! That would make for a really fun countdown! If you do not already have a list, you better start thinking about what attractions at Disney World you would want to work on because you know I will want to hear from you!
3. Kali River Rapids barely made it into the number three spot. Brandon said, “I’ll have to disagree with the Kali River Rapids. We rode that for the first time this year. After 2.5 hours standing in line, the ride lasted for 2 minutes. It was a complete let down. Everyone on our raft were saying, ‘That’s it?!’ I will never waste my time on that again.” Brandon has a great point. Kali is very short and not worth a long wait. Even though it is my number two pick, I would never wait in a long line for it. Fastpass all the way!
2. Yo Ho, let’s go to our number two pick! I’m sure you guessed it by that corny introduction … Pirates of the Caribbean! That’s right folks; those swashbuckling singers must have stolen everyone’s hearts! This Pirate adventure certainly deserves it’s placement at number two! Trivia question … Paul Frees voiced many of the pirates including the Auctioneer, what other Magic Kingdom attraction did he voice another important role?
1. Splash Mountain blew all of the other attractions out of the water! Brer Rabbit raced way ahead of the competition and landed in first with ease. I had a feeling that Splash Mountain would be the fan favorite. How can it not? There is so much fun and Disney detail packed into that log flume it is a magical treat with every ride!
Our honorable mention comes from Travis, “I voted Splash Mountain, but if we’re permitted to dig into the past, I have to mention 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Incredible ride, gone too soon …” Since I brought up Maelstrom, I think it’s only fair to include 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I am too young to have experienced its greatness. But I have done a lot of research and have heard from a lot of people how wonderful it was. My Dad raves about that attraction and I know he would want nothing more than to have the opportunity to ride it.

Staying Dry on Water Rides
Before I go, I am going to share some of my Hostess tips on how to stay dry on these wet attractions. Part of the fun is getting wet! But that doesn’t mean you want to get soaked.
– Ponchos. They are wonderful things! They are so compact and take up no room at all in your bag. It is so easy to throw one on before the ride. Make sure you purchase one at the Dollar Store before your trip. They are much more expensive in the parks. Ponchos are great at keeping you dry from all of the water coming at you from above. But they are even better when it comes to the real problem … you know what I’m talking about. Yes, that’s right, that pesky puddle of water that sits on the seat and is just waiting to give you a soggy bottom. Ponchos come to the rescue! They are long enough to sit on and help to keep your derriere dry!
– Another helpful item that you can take with you is agallon bag. These bags are perfect for keeping your personal items dry. Water can easily seep through your bags or pockets and get to that phone or worse yet the cash you saved for that Mickey Mouse ice cream bar. Gasp! In order to prevent an ice cream-less disaster, just put all of your personal items in a gallon bag for safety.
– Some rides have special tricks to stay dry. OnSplash Mountain, I have found there are two places you can sit in the log to stay a little drier. Theleft sideof the boat and theback rowdoes not get as much water. I always put my hands up on Chickapin Hill (AKA the big drop), but right before we get to the bottom I put my hands down andduck down as far as I can. This obviously does not prevent the water that is coming down on you, but your face and hair will stay dry!
– OnKali River Rapidsthere isn’t much hope for staying dry unless maybe wearing a poncho. The most important tip I can offer will at least help keep your feet dry. And let’s be honest, wet socks and shoes are one of the worst parts of getting soaked. Keep yourfeet up on the barin front of you during the ride. The floor of the raft fills up with water and in order to keep your feet away from the forming pool, you have to put your feet up!
– What if you want to get soaked but not stay soaked? In that case, I say takeextra socksand ahand towel. Having wet feet is pretty miserable but carrying extra shoes and clothes can get really bulky. A good compromise would be to pack extra socks and a hand towel in one of those handy dandy gallon bags. Your feet will thank you and you would be surprised how much water a little hand towel can remove!
– My last tip is all in theplanning. I suppose planning does not really keep you dry per say, but it does help in those wet situations. First things first, do not wear white or clingy clothes. They will only become a bigger hassle! Second, try to plan out the time you will be riding the attraction. You do not want to show up to your dinner reservation at Cinderella’s Royal Table soaked. Not only will you be uncomfortable but the air conditioning will make for a very cold evening. Make sure you have plenty of time to dry off before other important plans.
My Extra Magic Tip for the week: Hand dryers. Use them! These little guys can be very helpful when you’re drenched.
Thank you to everyone who voted and commented. As always it is so much fun to learn about what you think! Remember to check back next week for another countdown of my favorites!

Today, we have a bit of an exclusive to share with you. Frozen Ever After is one of the most anticipated new attractions coming to Walt Disney World, but we haven’t seen much of what this ride will actually look like outside of some concept art. Well, that is about to change:
Above we see our very first look at what the scene where the boat plunges down a drop will now look like (you may remember this portion from the Maelstrom attraction). An audio animatronic Marshmallow and some projected Snowgies look on as the guest’s boat switches directions and heads down a waterfall.
Our second picture is of a Troll figure in one of the early scenes of the attraction. As you can see, these figures will have projected faces just like the Dwarfs in the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride at the Magic Kingdom.
Keep in mind that the photos above are of the attraction under construction and are not what the absolute finished product will look like. Also, our apologies for the quality of the photos, but they were obviously taken by a cell phone camera by someone inside of the active construction zone.
Pretty cool, huh? Our source says the attraction might be a little behind schedule, but Disney is still claiming that the Frozen ride at Epcot will open in June.
I stopped into Epcot for the evening on Monday and took some photos around the park, so let’s take a look at what’s new and exciting around Future World and World Showcase:
Welcome to Epcot
What we believe to be OSHA-demanded exit stairways being installed all around the Epcot monorail station
Spiral staircase coming in on this side
Epcot is getting ready for the Flower and Garden Festival, which of course begins on Wednesday
Soarin’ is still closed
I’m more inclined to think Circle of Life will return based on what the entrance looks like now, but expect some changes to the film at the very least
I guess we’ll use the stairs…
The lower floor men’s restroom being fixed up during these closures
The butterfly garden has a long way to go
The new musical playground is massive
A lot to do in a week
It was a slow roll-out, but all of the character topiraries have the updated look now
Tic Toc Croc got new eyes and eyebrows
LOOK OUT!
This was a meet and greet space in France, but Aurora has moved out
You still have a few days to see the Black History Month exhibits at the American Adventure
Walls up for festival offerings near Germany
Lots of tarps up in the China pavilion
Anna and Elsa in Norway
The tarps in Norway are now making it clearer that major facade changes are being made for Frozen Ever After
Here you can see the facade was actually stripped and a new one is being put on
Also, the hole in the rockwork is being sealed, so say goodbye to seeing the boats from outside
Work continues on the meet and greet experience next door
The Cars palyground returns in Future World
New Test Track antenna topper
Somehow missed this one released earlier in the month
All of the merchandise is MouseGear is being shuffled around again, but none of the existing signage is correct now
This is not home decor
Yes, this has toys, but also now all Princess items
Some Zootopia merchandise in stock, but something tells me it will not be enough come March 4th…
Epcot items moved half-way across the store
New Snow White and Jiminy Cricket shirts
Infinity and Playmation now make up an island in the middle of the store
The Gateway Gifts sign lives on…
Another staircase on the other side of the monorail station
