Full Preview of the Park 13 Combo Topper Released

November 22nd continues to be a jam-packed release day, as the Official Vinylmation Blog revealed yet another figure that will release on that date.  Today we got a full preview of the Park 13 combo topper, and it features the mouse from Mickey Magnificent, an attraction at Magic Kingdom.  This topper was designed by Maria Clapsis, and will release at the parks and online for $24.95 each.  Take a look at the preview:

Another great topper to add to the collection, this one features two accessories, a top hat and cane.  I also love the cunning expression on Mickey’s face.  Definitely one of the stronger combo toppers we’ve seen in a while.  And the bunny on the hat is a nice touch.  What do you guys think? Will you be picking this one up?

Upcoming ‘Frozen’ Olaf and Variant Previewed

Today, the Official Vinylmation Blog posted a preview of the Limited Edition Olaf figure being released.  Olaf is the snowman from the upcoming film “Frozen”, and like Gusteau, this LE release appears to be coming in a blind box with the possibility of pulling a  variant.  Designed by Maria Clapsis with an LE of 2500, these will release online and in parks on November 22nd for $16.95 each.  Take a look at the previews below:

This first design is the normal “wintertime” Olaf.  The odds of pulling him are 9/10, so there are 2250 total of these guys.

This design is the “summertime” variant.  The odds of pulling him are 1/10, so like the Gusteau variant, there are only 250 total of these guys floating around.

Which design do you guys like more? Without having seen the film yet, I think I like the “wintertime” Olaf more, as that is the image of him that I’m familiar with.  All of this can change after Frozen comes out.  I also really like the use of the clear in the arms, it adds a little more depth.  And of course, the expressions are priceless.  Will you guys be picking this guy up?

Full Photos of the Upcoming Frozen Two-Pack Released

The Official Vinylmation Blog released full 360 degree photos of Anna and Elsa today, the two vinylmation figures included in the Frozen two-pack.  The vinyls were designed by Maria Clapsis, are LE 1500, and will release both at parks and online on November 22nd for $29.95.  Take a look at the designs below:

I think these designs, like most of Maria’s work, look fantastic.  While I am not attached to these characters yet, I have high hopes for this movie, and will probably want to add them to my collection eventually.  I love all of the little details, from the snowflakes on the gloves, to the braided hair, to the girly expressions on their faces.  Will you guys be picking this two-pack up?

RoE: Toy Story Series 2

A much anticipated Toy Story Series 2, designed by Maria Clapsis and Ron Cohee, will be released in 2014!!! I can’t wait. All they left us with was an image of Buzz Lightyear as Mrs. Nesbitt…

I can’t wait!!!

Darkwing Duck’s Disney Afternoon Sequel Gets a Release Date

The follow up to the popular Darkwing Wing Duck combo of Darkwing and Gosalyn was revealed to be Nega Duck and Bushroot. They will be released on September 20 both online and at D-Streets.

It is really great to see the villains portrayed in this series and Maria did a wonderful job at capturing the style of both these popular characters.

Oswald 2013 Poster Art Figure Release Details

The lucky rabbit gets the unluckiest date of the year to debut. The Oswald 2013 Poster Art Figure (December 2012 on the calendar if you’re playing along at home) will be released online on September 13. It was previously thought that a quantity will be available inside the Reflections of Evil Trade Event, this appears NOT to be the case. Instead, park goers will have to wait until September 20. Each poster art figure is LE 2013 and $14.95.

Donald Duck Popcorns!

The second series of Popcorns is almost upon us and it appears Donald Duck will lead the charge.

This figure is set to be released on August 9th. A few interesting notes… it will be an LE of 2500. Will all future Popcorns be an LE? Or is this a variant Donald? Only variants from series one had an LE. We did know there would be a Donald in Popcorns series 2, it was told to us by Disney and we saw his concept art on the boxes from series one. And this product shot does look a little different to me, so a variant is a possibility.

It will also retail for $19.95. Originally Popcorns were priced at $24.95, then went on sale online for $5 around Christmas, then settled in at $19.95 online and in the parks. So that is a welcome change. I love the look of the above Donald and Maria Clapsis is credited with the design. Doug Strayer was credited with all of series one. One final note, we do still expect to see a Stitch and Frankenweenie as part of this second series.

Zip on down for Rescue Rangers #2

Looks like me know more about the Disney Afternoons line. The second set inspired buy the show Rescue Rangers will be hitting the internet and D-Street stores on August 16th. The set will cost $29.95, it be a LE of 1500, and is designed by Maria Clapsis and Monty Maldovan. And now for the big news, it will be a three figure set (two 3″ and a Jr) containing the characters Monterey Jack, Gadget Hackwrench, and Zipper.

This is what I love to see from Disney Afternoons. Perfect! Now all we need is for Gadget to have a wrench accessory!

What do you think of this set?

Cutesters Too Photoshoot

We dug back in our collections and decided it was time to take the Maria Clapsis designed Cutesters Too around Walt Disney World for some photos.

Previews of Gummi Bears Disney Afternoon Set Revealed

Today, the Official Vinylmation Blog posted preview pictures of the final set in their Disney Afternoon Series 2.  At long last, we have our Gummi Bears set.  After getting scrapped from Disney Afternoon Series 1, these guys are a welcome addition to collections.  The set was designed by Maria Clapsis, has an LE 1500, and will release at both parks and online on November 29th for $29.95 each.  Take a look at the previews:

Cubbi and Gruffi have great expressions, and like all others in this series, feature an accessory.  What do you guys think of this final set? Do you like it better than the scrapped Gummi Bears designs? And who would you like to see in a possible Afternoon series 3? Let us know!!
