5/12/11 The Urban 7 Vinylmation pin set has been released, so we have a sneak peak to 9 of the 12 figures that will be in the Vinylmation figure set. Thank you to @igotlost for sending us the picture of the packaging.

	Urban 7 Combo Topper I actually like this one. The color works for me. Seems like a Metal Mickey (like one of the exclusive Pop Vinyl for Comic Con) Thanks to J for the heads up. The combo topper will be available from D-Streets and online on August 5th.
	Alien Artist: Thomas Scott Mystery solved. We know know what set this classic alien figure is in. However there are at least two versions. A solid green and a clear green. One is the variant.
	Zombie School Girl Artist: Lin Shih She is a very preppy, nerdy girl design. But also the coloring is odd and no eyeballs. Is she a zombie nerd girl? Will those glasses be a removable accessory?
	Spaghetti and Meatballs Artist: Casey Jones A delicious looking Vinylmation. Like the meatball ears. It would be cool if there was a fork in the back digging into this dish.
	Dizturbed Rocker Artist: Thomas Scott This guy is at a concert getting ready to do some head banging. He appears to be wearing studded wristbands and belt. Nice facial expression. Will this be more accepted than Scott’s U5 Bearded Man?
	Paint Splatter Artist: Susana Looks like a Disney artist got wild with the paint brushes again. I do like the heart shaped splatter on the chest. We will see what kind of detail we get on the back. It’s a clear figure.
	Jukebox Artist: Caley Hicks An old school jukebox design. For the younger people out there, think iPod, only larger, doesn’t hook up to your computer and isn’t digital. I like the music notes in the ears. The colors are great on this one.
	Rotary Phone Artist: Lisa Badeen A nod to the era when it took 5 minutes to call someone. And whats that in the head? Phones once had cords? And look, another phone number on a Vinylmation! A clear head with the cord going through it.
	Dark Side of the Mouse Artist: Maria Clapsis Looks like a peak into the 60s or 70s with a psychedelic space theme. Check out the Mickey head in the foot!
	Squirrel and Nut Artist: Doug Strayer Cutesters Too had a kid in a squirrel outfit. On the bottom next to Maria’s name was an acorn. This is a similar idea, only the Squirrel is more realistic, as is the nut.
	Penguin Artist: Maria Clapsis Another penguin! (Which Disney actually made a joke about!) Here he is holding a fish. This one seems a little more gruesome then the squirrel, because the fish is living.
	Cyclops Artist: Mike Sullivan This is the hardest to understand. It looks like a crazy cyclops gingerbread man. The top almost looks like some kind of Asian writing. Or it looks like the first stage of a Bob Ross painting. All it needs is some “happy little trees”. There’s also a green variant.

Here is the rest of Urban 7. A couple Ear Hats where already released. And we have seen some Urban 7 Jumbo Pins pointing toward future 9″ figures

	Color Bars 9″ If this is anything like the hat, I will break my 9″ rule. Here’s to hoping the body and head at the color bars, the ears are similar to the hat, and that it has an antenna as an add on “hat”!
	Cookies and Milk 9″ From the Ear Hat we think the head and body will be the milk carton, and the ears will have the cookies
	Delightful Flowers 9″ Similar to other 9″ designs, this just has a theme, but not over arching design.
	Mean Old Dog 9″ This one will look cool in a big size.

While picking up our Sea Creatures, we saw that all four of the recent ear hats on sale. Both urban 7 hats are LE of 1000 and priced at $69.95.
The animal hat is $69.95.
The donut hole hat is $69.95.

My mom and I were in the park today doing some trading and we stopped by the Mad Hatter shop on Main Street at Disneyland. Looking into the window I found some new and exciting things, such as 2 brand new Vinylmation Urban #7 Ear Hats! As well as one Muppets #2 Ear Hat!! I had to get all three so I could show everyone whats inside! Milk and Cookies Ear Hat – Urban #7 First off we have the Milk and Cookies set which is my favorite! The hat looks like a milk carton on the top with the words Milk on the front with a little Vinylmation shape, and has chocolate chip cookies as the ears and the right ear has a bite taken out of it. On the sides it says ‘Vinylmation Dairy Products’ (too cute!) The 3 inch is a chocolate milk carton! I love the details on this figure!! It has Vinylmation Farms on the top as where the milk is from and also a little Vinylmation shaped cup of chocolate milk on the front!

If you look at the back of this figure, it has the nutrition information, my favorite part is where it says, 100% Vinylmation! The Jr. for this set is a chocolate chip cookie with a bite taken out of the ear! (like the ear hat) This set is so well done! This is one of my favorite ear hat sets made so far! This set is by Maria Clapsis and Caley Hicks.
Please Stand By Ear Hat – Urban #7 The ear hat looks like a test pattern, with TV antenna on top! The left ear says, Please Stand By and the right ear looks like static. The 3″ that comes with this set looks like a remote pointed at a TV set. The backside of this Vinylmation is the TV remote batteries with the TV on top. I love the way that they made this figure! The arms and ears are clear where there is no design so you can really see the artwork.

The Jr. for this set is a little battery!

This set looks great all together and the 3 Inch is so well done! This set is by Thomas Scott and Maria Clapsis.
Animal Ear Hat – Muppets #2 I love this!! This set is definitely the most stand out! Anyone that loves Animal and the Electric Mayhem will definitely need this for their collection! My boyfriend is a drummer and loves Animal so he will be very excited to see this set! The ear hat for this set is Animal! I love the way that Monty designed this set! Animal’s ears says Rock and Roll and the entire hat is animals face! I love the addition of the hair and the nose! The 3″ for this set is perfect! It represents Animal’s drum set! And his ears are cymbals! The backside of this figure has a star as well as the band logo of a tooth with wings!

The Jr. for this set is all black with a red mouth! This is such a fun ear hat set! One of the brightest and most stand out that I have seen!

This set was done by Monty Maldovan! I was so excited to get these hats today and I hope everyone is excited to see these new upcoming designs! This makes me even more excited for upcoming 9″ Muppets 2’s as well as a sneak peek at what we can expect in Urban #7!! -Zoe

Thanks to an email by Don that pointed us to the Disney Pin site, we have a sneak peak at two new Urban 7 designs. These two pack pin sets have held designs that represent the 9″ vinyl designs. So that seems like a good assumption here! Check them out:

	Color Bars Artist: TBA LE: 1000 $39.95 Release Date: November 2011 There better be something cool on the back, because this 9″ has a ton of empty space for $40-$45 price tag that it will have. Maybe an autograph piece for TV stars? We knew this was coming based on the previously released Ear Hat, 3″, Jr combo.
	Monster Artist: TBA LE: 800 $39.95 Release Date: November 2011 This guy looks great. I’m a sucker for using the nose as a chin. The huge feet and talons are cool too. Before I knew there would be so many, I bought the Snow Monster 9/3 from Park 3. But I have to be so much more selective now. This would have made the cut a year ago, but not today.
	King Tut 9″/3″ Combo Artist: TBA LE: 1500 $74.95 Release Date: November The 9″ looks brilliant. Vibrant gold color. This is King Tut in a sarcophagus. And this continues the addition of some great accessories to 9″ figures.
	King Tut 9″/3″ Combo Artist: TBA LE: 1500 $74.95 Release Date: November King Tut before being put to rest is depicted in this 3″ figure. Disney’s official picture of this guy also has a cane:
	Flowers Artist: Lisa Badeen LE: 1000 $39.95 Release Date: November 18, 2011 A purple body and a flower pattern all around.
9″ 3″	Milk and OJ 9/3 Combo Artist: Caley Hicks LE: 1500 $74.95 ONLINE EXCLUSIVE Release Date: November 18, 2011 This set is based on an Ear Hat set we saw a while back. OJ and Milk was the talk of The Florida Project. People loved this one. The side of 9″ Milk has a bar code. The back of OJ 3″ has Nutrition Facts.

First Urban 7 Variant- Alien

Yesterday, (well technically today because it was blank all yesterday) Disney posted this sneak peak at the Urban 7 line. At first it wasn’t too interesting, we already knew the the alien and the penguin with the fish were part of the set. But then it hit me. That alien is different then the one we saw at the trade show!
The alien we saw at the trade show (on the right) was clear! We even commented on how cool the use of the clear was. So this is obviously a figure and it’s variant. Which is the variant however? The clear one? The solid one? Who cares? These are awesome!

Urban 7 was released on Friday, and like many Vinylmation sets, couldn’t wait to check out the theme park. So, I tracked this set down at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and found an unlikely love connection as well. We will post those pic later. In the mean time, check these out.
