ZoMG: Noah’s Villains Unleashed

Zoe visited Vault 28 on Saturday for the release of the new Noah Villains collection. There was plenty of artwork, special tees and even some apples for picking… beware, I think they were poisoned.

For $7500 you could walk out of Vault 28 with the Evil Queen painting by Noah
Noah made 36 each of the 9″ and 3″ Poison Apple Vinylmation
As with most of Noah’s work, the 9″ came with a stand featuring his original artwork
The 9″ sold for $650, the 3″ for $150

ZoMG: Darkwing Release at DLR

Wow. As far as Vinylmation release mornings go I would have to say, in my years of Vinylmation experience this was insane!!

I went to this release morning, or night I should say, around 11:30pm. My boyfriend said I should get there early just because this release seemed so popular! I agreed and we made it down to the downtown Disney parking lot. To my surprise at 11:45 the night BEFORE the release (well 15 minutes before haha) there were 6 cars already parked in line to get inside!!

Wow! I couldn’t believe it! Thank goodness we ended up getting there when we did! Slowly people starting pulling up behind us in line and forming different rows. The lines went as far back down the street past the Disneyland hotel!

Because so many people showed up for this release around 4:00am security guards starting letting us know that they were going to let us in the parking lot early. So basically time to turn on your engines!!! Everyone had a quick panic including myself!

They raised bars and all the cars starting speeding through the parking lot to get a good spot!! Thank goodness my boyfriend has long legs he was able to run and get a spot in line!! I swear by the time they let our cars in to park, I think Darkwing had already reached at least 200 people in line!!

After this they organized our line into groups to make the walking over to D-Street process a bit easier! We sat there for awhile… some trading, some sleeping, some reading and chatting! We had a great time in line. It was a bit chilly so thank goodness I had some nice friends to share blankets with us! I even saw some familiar faces of cast members who work at D-Street! So exciting to see them getting into it too!!

Finally, around 7am, wristbands were distributed. And before we knew it, at 7:50 (yes 10 minutes early shh!) we were let inside to buy our Vinylmation and then head home to get some sleep!!

Today was a very eventful day! Now I am on my way to the Vinylmation trading night!! See you guys there!!

ZoMG: It’s a Small World Juniors

Hello everyone! Yesterday we found out that a Small World Vinylmation Jrs. Series is going to be released around the time of D23 (21 days – I am SO excited).

I think it was such a smart idea to make the Jrs 4 Series be Small World themed, it works perfectly.

I am going to throw out some possible Small World characters that we could see in this series. And instead of including pictures for all of the mentioned characters, I linked to a video below. We have a few hints and previews so far so lets begin with those!

Young boy – I love the way Thomas Scott designed this figure. It makes me so excited to see what else we have in store. I love that he decided to put the flowers in each Mickey ear to make sure people understand this little boy is a part of Small World and not just a random boy Vinylmation.

Tiger – I am so happy that animals are going to be included in this set. The tiger figure looks perfect. Everyone that sees this will know he is from the Small World ride.

Hippo – Funny story, as I was typing up this article at 12am PST, Vinylmation.com posted this picture to help me out, of the Jr. Series 4 box. As we all know whatever figure is on the box, is a part of the set. With that said, our third confirmed character is the Hippo from small world!

After seeing the Hippo, I am thinking that half of the set is going to be children and the other half popular animals and memorable parts from the classic ride. There are so many children and animals in the classic Disney ride that they could have chosen from. Here are a few that stuck out to me and will hopefully be a part of the series!

The Polar Bear – this guy you can find when the ride begins. He is part of the Artic/North Pole section of the ride.

Eskimo – the same scene that has the polar bear, includes the Eskimo children fishing.

The next section of the ride is Scandinavia/Canada. In this section there are many children to choose from. A few that stuck out to me are, the children dressed in band uniform with the tall black hats, one of the children dancing as you enter this section and also maybe one of the acrobats. This way each section has a child to represent the language.

The next section is Europe. This section includes:
The British Guards
The Can Can Dancers
The Goat on top of the hills
The Children in the tulips
The Children ringing bells from the clocks

Then we enter Asia where you will find,
Young Girls with Tambourines
The snake charmer boy
Young Asian children with Kimonos
Panda Bear

The next scene has many characters and animals that could be used for the set. Including,
The colorful Zebra
Hyenas
Rhino
Tiger (already confirmed)
Hippo (already confirmed)
Young boy drummer
Young girl dancers
Giraffes with flowers

Latin America is the next section of the ride that includes,
Children with Sombreros
The sun
Donkey

South Seas is the next section of Small World, which contains characters such as,
Ariel (wishful thinking.. but maybe the other mermaid that used to be in Ariel’s place?)
Turtle
Hawaiian children
Kangaroo
Hula Dancers
Platypus (not sure if that’s the right animal, correct me if I’m wrong)
The sparkly alligator with the umbrella
Children with tribal masks on
Butterflies

That is a lot of characters to pick from so here is my prediction. I think that this set is going to have a fair amount of children because children make this ride. I think the set will contain and even amount of girls/boys to represent each country/place that is represented in this ride. Along with the children I also think there will be animals that go along with the characters. Like the Panda, the Turtle, the Kangaroo, the Zebra etc. No matter what Thomas Scott decided for this set, I know it is going to be wonderful and I can’t wait to have them all!

Any other ideas please let me know, id love to hear them!

It’s a small world after all..

ZoMG: Ariel Noah 3″

Yesterday, we finally got a sneak peek at the 3″ Vinylmation designed by Noah for the Little Mermaid release at California Adventure on June 11th!!

We only get to see the front of the figure which looks fantastic! The same turquoise color was used as the 9 inch! (they would make quite the set!)

The figure has tiny details of bubbles all over the figure! Noah also pointed out via twitter today, “Noah little mermaid Vinylmation 3″ all have hidden mickeys in the bubbles”

What a great touch!! I don’t know about you but I LOVE when artists include hidden mickeys in their artwork!

No word yet on what the backside of the figure looks like.. Maybe the silhouette of Ariel? We will have to stay tuned to find out!

Picture from Art of Disney blog

ZoMG: Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat?

Thank you Noah!! Thank you! Thank you!

I don’t know if you guys know this about me or not but, there is only one thing that I love more than Vinylmation, and that is The Little Mermaid!!!

Today, Noah posted this release news on his blog, noahfineart.com:

June 11th 2011 – The Little Mermaid Product Debut + Signing!

This event will include various artwork from Noah, Dave Avanzino, and Walt Disney Imagineer, Larry Nikolai. On his blog, Noah stated that he will be debuted an entire Little Mermaid Collection including, limited edition artwork, decorative plates, mugs, tee’s, jewelry and two Vinylmation!

The Vinylmation will include: 12 Limited Edition 9 Inch & 12 Limited Edition 3 Inch Figures! (I need both!)

The image that he has posted looks amazing!! The colors look great, perfect for Ariel and I couldn’t be more excited!! The artwork in the background is beautiful and the small image that we can see of the 9-inch figure looks incredible! The Vinylmation is on a stand (like a lot of the other LE Vinylmation Noah has created) and I can see an outline of Ariel! It looks almost like she is in her grotto!!

We will post any more information that we find out closer to the release on June 11th!!!!

I hope you guys are just as excited about this as I am!!!

Thank you Noah for making one of my Vinylmation dreams come true!!!

ZoMG: Vinylmation Trading Night – Paradise Pier Hotel

Friday, May 6th was Trading Night at the Paradise Pier Hotel. Vinylmation and Pin collectors gathered to trade and share their collections.

This was the second trading event of the year and it was a huge success! There were at least 10 or 12 tables dedication to just Vinylmation! This was exciting because last time there were maybe only 5 or 6 tables of Vinylmation. Maybe one day we can have a Vinylmation Trading event all to ourselves!

The event took place between 7:00 – 10:00, people were coming in and out of the Paradise Pier Ballroom like crazy! People gathered for many different reasons, just to trade, looking for a few certain Vinylmation, and some just gathered to show off their collections.
It’s neat to see the different types of collectors that love Vinylmation all in one place together! You make friends, talk and have a great time. I had so much fun this past week at the Trading Event and was able to make a few great trades and get some Vinylmation that I was very excited about! Also, a lot of people recognized me from the Destination Vinylmation Blog, which was very flattering and exciting. So thank you to everyone that came by to say hi and trade!!
I hope that Disney puts together more trading nights for us to all meet up and trade our Vinylmation and maybe even show us some previews like they usually do with the Pin Preview Boards!

Everyone really made an effort to come out this time for the event! A couple of fun things that were going on at the Trading Event this time around were a trading box! I wish I had gotten a picture of this to show you guys but a nice couple that I met made their own trading box with drawers that you could walk up to and trade your own just like Disney trading boxes!

Also, another collector created a Vinylmation farm! This farm was created out of a few 9″ including Tree of Life, a custom beehive, and Goofy’s Barn Stormer! This set up was very impressive!! Their Barn set up included many Holiday 2 Corn, a couple Urban 6 Sunny Days, a Holiday 2 Ground Hog, 2 Good Luck/Bad Luck Lady Bugs, Pumpkins from Holiday 2, Mickey’s Garden from Have a Laugh, Bumble Bees from Cutesters 1, Killer Bees from Urban 6, one Green Thumb from Urban 6, a custom cow, Strawberries from Urban 4, Bullseye and Ham from Toy Story, as well as the 3″ sheep from the Toy Story Lil Bo Peep set. It turned out great and everyone loved it and was taking photos of it! Hopefully, next Trading Night there will be more set ups like this one!!
In conclusion, I believe this Trading Night was a huge success and I am looking forward to the next one! Hope to see you guys there!

ZoMG: Kidada Disney Store Release- Santa Monica

When I went to get my Kidada vinylmation, I was the first person in line so they let me help open up the store with this Disney Store magic key! Very fun! 🙂 (I love this key!)

(Evil Shadow Zoe opens the store, Ed.)

I don’t think enough people knew about the release. A couple of more people came and they sold out. They only had 12 of the 9″ figures!

So cute!! Just like the chocolate milk vinylmation that came with the
hats! I love this!!

Cute little saying! 🙂

ZoMG: Kidada Jones’ Artwork

I am sure by now you have all seen a glimpse of the brand new Vinylmation figure hitting 5 select Disney Store shelves (as well as online) on May 4th!!

We have seen one image floating around the web of what looks like a 9 inch figure! The head is hot pink with what looks like sprinkles and hearts. At first glimpse it looks like an ice cream cone with an adorable picture of Minnie Mouse poking her head through the center. (Adorable!)
This brand new Vinylmation was designed by Kidada Jones. Kidada Jones has been working with Disney for quite some time on the Disney Couture Jewelry Line, which I love!

Kidada Jones is the daughter of Quincy Jones and her sister is Rashida Jones which is also better known as Karen from The Office! Kidada has always loved Disney and when asked to create Disney Couture she created one of the best Disney collections to date. The perfect mix of fashion and Disney.

Disney Couture makes all different types/kinds of jewelry for many different Disney characters. One of the first lines Kidada created was Princess themed. I had to have it all. From cuffs that look like Sleeping Beauty’s crown, to Snow White themed necklaces such as one that reads ‘fairest of them all’ and also one that looks like a mirror, as well as a ring and necklace shaped like the Disneyland Castle.
Kidada also created an Alice in Wonderland line that included this blue wrap bracelet that I absolutely love. I wear it all of the time. Since launching Disney Couture in 2007, Kidada has created many jewelry designs based on Disney movies such as; Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid (my favorite), Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Pinocchio, and many more.
You can find her jewelry on websites such as, karmloop.com, regencies.com and also in select stores in Disneyland and quite possibly Disney World.

Needless to say I am very excited for this collaboration and look forward to more in the future!

Don’t forget to check out Disneystore.com or one of the lucky 5 stores that will receive this release!

ZoMG: Urban 7 and Animal Ear Hats

My mom and I were in the park today doing some trading and we stopped by the Mad Hatter shop on Main Street at Disneyland. Looking into the window I found some new and exciting things, such as 2 brand new Vinylmation Urban #7 Ear Hats! As well as one Muppets #2 Ear Hat!! I had to get all three so I could show everyone whats inside!

Milk and Cookies Ear Hat – Urban #7

First off we have the Milk and Cookies set which is my favorite! The hat looks like a milk carton on the top with the words Milk on the front with a little Vinylmation shape, and has chocolate chip cookies as the ears and the right ear has a bite taken out of it. On the sides it says ‘Vinylmation Dairy Products’ (too cute!)

The 3 inch is a chocolate milk carton! I love the details on this figure!! It has Vinylmation Farms on the top as where the milk is from and also a little Vinylmation shaped cup of chocolate milk on the front!

If you look at the back of this figure, it has the nutrition information, my favorite part is where it says, 100% Vinylmation!

The Jr. for this set is a chocolate chip cookie with a bite taken out of the ear! (like the ear hat)

This set is so well done! This is one of my favorite ear hat sets made so far! This set is by Maria Clapsis and Caley Hicks.

Please Stand By Ear Hat – Urban #7

The ear hat looks like a test pattern, with TV antenna on top! The left ear says, Please Stand By and the right ear looks like static.

The 3″ that comes with this set looks like a remote pointed at a TV set. The backside of this Vinylmation is the TV remote batteries with the TV on top. I love the way that they made this figure! The arms and ears are clear where there is no design so you can really see the artwork.

The Jr. for this set is a little battery!
This set looks great all together and the 3 Inch is so well done! This set is by Thomas Scott and Maria Clapsis.
Animal Ear Hat – Muppets #2

I love this!! This set is definitely the most stand out! Anyone that loves Animal and the Electric Mayhem will definitely need this for their collection! My boyfriend is a drummer and loves Animal so he will be very excited to see this set!

The ear hat for this set is Animal! I love the way that Monty designed this set! Animal’s ears says Rock and Roll and the entire hat is animals face! I love the addition of the hair and the nose!

The 3″ for this set is perfect! It represents Animal’s drum set! And his ears are cymbals! The backside of this figure has a star as well as the band logo of a tooth with wings!

The Jr. for this set is all black with a red mouth!

This is such a fun ear hat set! One of the brightest and most stand out that I have seen!

This set was done by Monty Maldovan!

I was so excited to get these hats today and I hope everyone is excited to see these new upcoming designs! This makes me even more excited for upcoming 9″ Muppets 2’s as well as a sneak peek at what we can expect in Urban #7!!
