Spotlight On: Mike Vetrone’s Aladdin Series
Mike Vetrone recently sent us photos of his stunning Aladdin set of custom Vinylmation. This already sold out, but take a look and contact Mike for your own custom if you like what you see.
Last week I released my custom Aladdin set of 12 figures. The set included Iago, Old Man Jafar, the Sultan, Genie, Palace Guard, Abu, Aladdin, Jasmine, Rajah, the Cave of Wonders, the Golden Scarab, and the “chaser” is a figure I call “A Whole New World” The chaser features Aladdin and Jasmine on their magic carpet ride. The carpet is a sculpted piece that is made to look like They are actually sitting on it. Aladdin is one of my favorite movies of all time so this set was a complete blast to make. A big thanks goes out to everyone who bought one for making it a complete success!

Nominations for 2013 Dee Vee Awards have begun!
The 3rd year anniversary of Destination Vinylmation is in November and to celebrate, we will once again be hosting the annual Dee Vee Awards! (listen to 2012 Dee Vee Award Show) This is a show of celebration for the collectible we all know and love. It is also your chance to choose your favorites over the past year. Before we get to the voting, we are asking for your help to nominate the entries into each of our categories. All you have to do is copy and paste the category list below into an email, list your nominations and send it to:
You have until Midnight on Friday, October 11 to submit your nominations. You may submit nominations for as many or as few categories as you like and can you can nominate as many figures or people for each category as you like. You may only nominate figures that were released between October 1, 2012 and September 30, 2013. (Click here for a PDF of all the figures released during that time span. * Disclaimer: Not all possible figures may be listed. This is just a guide. If you notice any exclusions, please note them in the comments section.) Nominees will be announced around October 13th on our podcast and online. Star Wars 3 Photoshoot
I can’t wait for some kind of Star Wars land expansion… so I have more spots to take photos of Vinylmation! In the mean time, we use the limited space provided at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We took series 3 of Star Wars around the park. I hope you enjoy.
