A new trailer for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will air this Thursday night during NBC’s coverage of The Olympics.
From Furious Fanboys:
Disappointed that there wasn’t a true Rogue One trailer at Celebration? It’s likely because Lucasfilm was saving it for the Olympics where we’ll see it this Thursday.
NBC ran a promo for the new trailer (which included a new shot of Jyn) during the Olympics already:
Walt Disney Animation Studios has just released a brand new TV spot for their newest animated feature, “Moana”. In the TV spot we see the shape shifting powers of the demigod, Maui, along with his moving story telling tattoos.
From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”),
“Moana” sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.

Also, along with the original special features found on the original version, there will be even more special features including additional deleted scenes.
Here’s what else will be in the new collection:
A look at how sound technicians blend action with audio effects in the featurette Foley: A Sonic Tale.
Sounds of the Resistance, another audio themed doc showing how the sound designers blended real recordings into otherworldly effects in the film.
Deleted Scenes – While there were a handful of deleted footage on the original Blu-ray, this one promises even more “never-before-shared” scenes.
Dressing the Galaxy – A look at how wardrobe designs from the original trilogy were retooled by costume designer Michael Kaplan to fit the galaxy three decades later.
Daisy Ridley and John Boyega share a conversation in The Scavenger and the Stormtrooper, a featurette that was released only on the previous disc as an exclusive at Target stores.
Inside the Armory – A tour of the various weapons and battle gear in the battle between the Resistance and The First Order.
Well, we get to see the back of Vader’s head anyway. Lucasfilm has just released the second trailer for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and make no mistakes, there is definitely a war going on. But more of a massive ground war! Check it out!
Menken and Miranda are working on the live action version of The Little Mermaid for Disney
“Hamilton’s” Lin-Manual Miranda is joining forces with legendary Disney composer Alan Menken to compose additional songs for an upcoming live action version of the Disney animated classic, “The Little Mermaid”.
From Deadline:
Disney is pairing Hamilton‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda with iconic songwriter Alan Menken for a live action feature adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid. Miranda and Menken will write the music together. Marc Platt will produce the film along with Miranda, in a configuration just set by Sean Bailey, president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production. Deadline revealed in May that Disney was figuring out a way to add the classic title to a slate of films based on the studio’s animated films. This one is being orchestrated as a mix of pre-existing songs from the 1989 Disney animated classic movie, for which Menken won two Oscars, sharing Best Song with Howard Ashman, and winning Best Score on his own. Menken has eight Oscars in his storied career.
During EA’s livestream at GamesCom, it was announced that the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront VR mission will be getting a bit of a Rogue One facelift.
Star Wars Battlefront VR
The experience will now be called Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission. Short and sweet, right? James Svensson, producer at Criterion Games, went on to discuss the new changes, “Rogue One is in the same time period the base game covers, so to be relevant in the ever-evolving Star Wars universe we’ve since been able to work with Lucasfilm to make the connection here.”
The VR mission will put players in the cockpit of a X-Wing as they take on TIE fighters and a Star Destroyer. The Rogue One theming will be quite fitting since the game already takes place during the events of the originally trilogy.
For those that do not remember, the VR mission is an expansion coming to the PS4 version of Star Wars Battlefront and can only be used with the PlayStation VR headset. The VR experience is expected to launch sometime this Holiday season, while PlayStation VR will release on October 13.

Kurt Russell Confirmed To Play Starlord’s Father In “Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 2”
Kurt Russell will be playing Peter Quill’s (Starlord) father in “Guardians Of The Galaxy, Volume 2”. That part is not too surprising. The suprising part is that he will play Ego The Living Planet.
Ego The Living Planet
According to Marvel:
Ego the Living Planet originated like any other planet, coalescing over millions of years from cosmic gases and dust. But unlike any other known planets, Ego developed consciousness and intelligence.
It’s really hard to describe this guy and dont know how they are going to have Kurt Russell playing the character but have a feeling that Ego will take a human form to relate with Starlord. The picture above shows a photo of Kurt Russell’s costume for Ego.
“Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol 2” opens May 5, 2017.
A Little Planet Hulk Added To “Thor Ragnarok”
Slowly but surely we are getting glimpses of what Hulk’s role with be in “Thor Ragnarok” and it definitely has something to do with the classic “Planet Hulk” storyline. I doubt it will be a faithful adaption but maybe we learn that after the events of “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”, Hulk was taken to another plannet, where he became a warrior and a king. Or it could just be a nod to “Planet Hulk”, which is more likely. Still has me excited to see Thor and Hulk battling together or who knows maybe battling against each other.
“Thor Ragnarok” opens November 3, 2017.
To Celebrate Captain America’s 75th Anniversary, Marvel Unveils This Larger Than Life Captain America Statue

Until then we got our first look at some concept art showing Spider-Man in action against his nemesis, The Vulture. We still are not sure who Michael Keaton will be playing in “Homecoming” but the odds are pretty high you are looking at him in the above promotional art.

Everything changes when a car accident limits Strange’s use of his hands, sending him on a maddening quest for a miracle cure. This origin story introduces the magical and mystical realms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to a video posted by Twitter user InfiniteerAdventures, Avatar figures were in the concept phase for Disney Infinity.
Source: InfiniteerAdventures
As usual, the team at Avalanche managed to seamlessly marry the world of Avatar with the art style of Disney Infinity. It is important to note that unlike many of the recent cancelled figures that have surfaced, these figures were only in the concept phase. There is no guarantee that these figures would have ever made their way to market.
Another interesting thing to note, these figures would have marked the first time a non-Disney property made its way into Disney Infinity. Of course Avatar would make sense due to the upcoming Avatar Land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Perhaps these figures would have been released along with the opening of the new land at Disney’s park. It would have been the first time that Disney used a new Disney Infinity release to market the parks.
