I guess you CAN’T have your cake and eat it too

The Disney Vinylmation Blog announced we are getting our Birthday Cake Vinylmation on December 10th ($44.95 LE 1000)… but it is not edible. You never know after the ice cube trays (release date: December 3). This figure looks delicious, and it looks like a Disney Design Artist stole a piece out of the back!

Holiday 2

Thanksgiving is almost here, so most of us are getting into the holiday mood. I bet most of you just received your Holiday 2 Snowglobe 9″ in the past couple days? I just put mine up on the bookshelf next to Prancer 9″. Remember, the Holiday 2 set of 3″ figures comes out next Friday, December 3rd (along with the Vinylmation Ice Cube Trays). Looks like this week the Disney Vinylmation Blog is releasing pictures of the figures from the set. Today they posted the 4th of July Patriot figure. Probably my favorite, being from New England. Maybe I’ll paint “Brady” and a “12” on his back?

Trade City, EPCOT

UPDATE: As of 11/23/10 at 7:30 pm The Snow Globe 9″ + 3″ set was back on the online Disney Store and available to buy!

Back to Christmas

For those of you who were wondering what the back of Prancer looked like, here it is.
And if you wanted some hidden Mickeys check out the holly berries on his collar!

Happy Holidays… or it will be on December 3rd!

3″ Holiday Series 2 will be released on December 3rd at Downtown Disney in Orlando and California. Here is a look at the figures from August’s Trade City show:

I’m most excited for the Groundhog and the 4th of July Patriot. How about you?

Merry Christmas!

Vinylmation fans can pick up an early Christmas present at the Disney Store Online. The Holiday 2 Series 9″ Snowglobe Figure with 3″ Snowman was released today.

Interesting to note is the price point of this 9″, 3″ combo is only $44.95! That comes as a surprise when previous Vinylmation 9″, 3″ combos were priced at $74.95. Is Disney giving us an early Christmas present after raising the prices on Park and Urban 5? Also note the FREE SHIPPING offer if you spend $75 or more. Promo code is SHIPTODAY.

Here are screenshots from the Disney Store Online website with a first look at the back of this impressing David Mitchell designed figure set.

This limited edition (1000) figure will only be available online. The figure is limited to 2 per customer.

Update: This set is already sold out! (in less than 12 hours!)

There Snow one like Family…

The Disney blog announced that the online store will begin selling the 9″ and 3″ Snowman set on November 17th. That’s TOMORROW folks! This set was designed by David Mitchell who also designed the Prancer 9″ which will be released this Friday at D-Streets on both coasts. (There are only 1000 Prancers being made)

Let It Snow, man

Its hard to build one of these in Orlando or Anaheim, but we can buy the Vinylmation…. soon hopefully. Holiday #2 Reindeer comes out November 19th, lets hope Disney releases Mr. and Mrs. Snowman soon.

Nerds Rock, Price Wackiness and Disney Store Online Update

A few news and notes about today…

Cupid “Love is Blind” 9″ Holiday 2 figure from Q. Kimbal is available at the Disney Store Online (as well as D-Street in ORL and CA). Grab it while you can… LE 450. Retail is $48.95. Beautiful detail on this piece.

Flags 12 figure open window figures are at the Disney Store Online. $9.95.

WDW 40th anniversary open window 6 figures are available at the Disney Store Online for $12.95. Odd story here. That was the price at D-Street Orlando, but under the sticker you could see there was a $16.95 price tag. Well, when the set was put up online this morning, it was selling for $16.95. They have since reduced it back down to $12.95. It’s a nice retro looking set, but 17 bucks would have been a bit much for these.

9″ and 3″ combo Urban 5 Racecar and Driver set BACK up for sale online. I just grabbed one for $74.95. There is a promo code for $5 shipping right now… SHIPFIFTY

A Trading Event at WDW was announced. March 18th from 6pm – 9pm at the Contemporary Resort. We will have more information on this as the date approaches, but mark your calendars now.

And some a new release date: February 18th!

Both Disneyland and WDW will see the release of 9″ Park 5 Fantasmic and 9″ Park 5 Tree of Life. Also, the much anticipated open window Nerds Rock series. Here is a look at the Chip, Dale and Donald figures, as well as some of the Nerds Rock Disney merchandise as a sneak peak at what the other figures could be.
