I visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios over the weekend and found quite a bit had changed in just a week’s time, so let’s see what’s new and exciting around the park:

The projection towers for Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular are being painted

Wait times for the Olaf meet and greet have gotten much shorter over the course of the week

The Star Tours poster is still missing

Waits for Red Carpet Dreams were reasonable for the opening day

The Alice Through the Looking Glass preview has opened in One Man’s Dream

It looks like this the third track for Toy Story Midway Mania will temporarily queue and exit out by the construction walls for Toy Story Land

The Sorcerer Mickey meet and greet near PIXAR Place closed since Mickey has a new home

Slowly but surely pieces of equipment and such are vanishing from the New York Street facades

Some new merchandise spotted at Tower of Terror

There is a ton of new merchandise available at Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster

Sweet Spells is now serving Whoopie Pies…

I had to try the Maple Bacon and Cookies and Cream

The Maple Bacon was delicious, unique flavor

Cookies and Cream was fairly normal, just tasted like a cake-y Oreo

New Boba Fett retail MagicBand

Mickey and Minnie patriotic plush now on sale

I took a trip to Epcot to see what’s new around the park earlier this week, and here’s what I found in my latest photo report:

A preview of Shanghai Disneyland is coming to the China pavilion, so the gallery is currently closed

The Trading Post in Canada recently added an indoor bar

It’s been a long time since we looked at merchandise around World Showcase, so we’ll catch up a bit in this photo report

As work continues on the new DVC lounge in the old ImageWorks, we can now see the old elevator shaft is lit again

Painting continues inside

When I was a kid we had something similar called Colorforms, didn’t realize a new version as being sold at the parks

There are walls up downstairs at ImageWorks as well, we assume for a DVC lounge check-in area

Some new Star Wars merchandise at MouseGear

In addition to the phone case, there’s a Chewbacca tablet case as well

Alice Through the Looking Glass merchandise

An R2-D2 onesie…

Two new signs on sale at the Art of Disney

Work continues on Anna and Elsa’s meet and greet home, the Royal Sommerhus

The Norway cultural exhibit is closed until May 27th

Work on Frozen Ever After continues

Dirk Wallen and myself both visited Disney Springs earlier this week and have plenty of photos to share of the ongoing construction as we prepare to visit Town Center for the first time this Sunday:

Work continues on the Edison

STK is looking just about ready to open

Disney Parks exclusive MetalEarth pieces are now available, featuring some icons from Star Tours

Two new windows appears at World of Disney this week

New walls are going up behind the old walls which will come down on Sunday

There are conflicting reports as to if the bus loop will open Sunday

These directories have been installed all around Disney Springs

The Coca-Cola Store

Work continues on Planet Hollywood

The new homes for Wetzel’s Pretzels and Haagen-Daas will open Sunday

A look towards the Town Center

Morimoto Asia – Street Food opened yesterday for a short period, you can read our review here

Savannah Bee and Filthy Rich will both open on Sunday, they were being stocked yesterday

Work continues on the Paddlefish

B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. will be opening Sunday, but has been soft opening during the week at random

This area will open Sunday as well

Aristocrepes is nearing completion

The menu looks pretty good

The old bus loop might close Sunday, either way, its days are numbered

I visited the Magic Kingdom on a few evenings this week and found a few newsworthy items to share, so let’s take a look around the park (and a nearby resort):

Starting at the Grand Floridian, the carpet in the lobby was replaced recently

While there isn’t as much resort specific merchandise here as there was before, there is a new luggage tag and key chain

They also have a dVC 25th anniversary t-shirt for sale

On to the Magic Kingdom

The stage is being built for Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire

A lot of facade work happening inÂ Liberty Square

New Darth Vader MagicBand available

Some new phone case designs can be found in Tomorrowland

The Wondground Gallery art is gone from this location, but the Space Mountain merchandise moved to this wall now

New Mickey balloon pin

Some work happening on the exterior of Carousel of Progress, looks like they are just replacing lights though

Some of the monorails are getting new vents that are black instead of the old grey

Finally found the Star Wars attraction poster shirts in the Emporium

TIE Fighter popcorn bucket now available in Tomorrowland, but it’s cheaper now

The Beef Stew is gone from Gaston’s Tavern

A ham and cheese stuffed pretzel is available now

It wasn’t awful, but it kind of tasted like a Hot Pocket…

Prairie Outpost and Supply in Frontierland was closed recently, a product of budget cuts

This store sold candy, baked goods, and bottled drinks for the most part

Golden Oak Outpost is now selling the souvenir Country Bear Jug

Some new luggage tags on sale at the Emporium

I made a quick stop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom earlier this week, so let’s see what’s new and exciting around the now 18-year-old park:

Welcome

The FastPass+ entrance for Kilimanjaro Safaris is back in the original location, so this sign now points the way

Work continues on Tiffins which will officially open on the 27th of May

Pandora: The World of AVATAR will take slightly longer…

This new Animal Kingdom mug is pretty great

These new baby outfits are pretty adorable

Select TAG merchandise can now be found around the parks, this was in Riverside Depot

I visited the Magic Kingdom this past weekend (as well as some of the surrounding resorts), so let’s see what’s new and exciting in our latest photo report:

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom

Tarps up on the facade of the Hall of Presidents

Heritage House is completely closed now

A new “same day” dessert party option is available at the Magic Kingdom which gives guests viewing of the show from one of the former FastPass + viewing areas.

Guests enjoy their food and drinks up here on the second level and then are walked over to the viewing area. This new party is $59 for adults and $35 for children (including tax).

This is where you can sign up for the same-day dessert party on the day desired.

Found a new Alice Through the Looking Glass phone case in the Emporium

Restrooms near City Hall are closed for refurbishment

Found the variant cover for Haunted Mansion issue #2 at the Contemporary, but they were also at Memento Mori at one point

We rented a Sea Raycer one day this past weekend and drove past the Wildnerness Lodge DVC expansion construction

Even though the park wasn’t busy on Sunday, the Main Street Bypass was open during the Festival of Fantasy Parade

I’m not sure if this is helping in any way, but there are numbers on the ground before you get on the ramp at Peter Pan to help keep parties separated and ready to board…

The yodeler is missing from “it’s a small world” again, but his audio is playing. I call this the “Phantom Yodeler” effect.

The personalized goodbye is working on a consistent basis now

Thankfully, the menu at Diamond Horseshoe has been changed. I will have to go back to see if this is an improvement at all.

There is a seasonal Donald’s Butt cupcake on sale at the Bakery… it’s a vanilla cupcake

Some great vintage style albums were recently released at the parks and resorts, found these at Contemporary

This weekend, I made a quick visit to Epcot and the nearby resorts to see what’s new and exciting, so let’s take a look:

The Circle of Life is back

AMD SO IS THE WALL CARPET!!!!

So, after being closed for two months, nothing was visibly changed. Some have claimed there was a new handicap access ramp installed, but I couldn’t find it. Regardless, nothing that would have taken over two months to complete was actually done.

Work continues on the new DVC lounge at Imagination, they are now painting

In MouseGear, there’s a PIXAR display filled with non-PIXAR merchandise

A Figment MagicBand was released recently

Took a cruise on a friendship boat

Over at the Boardwalk, the new Ample Hills Creamery is nearing completion

Beach Club has some great resort specific merchandise

Disneyland Reporter Tim Alcoser visited the Resort over the weekend to check out the new Autopia presented by Honda and the latest progress on the Star Wars themed land coming to Disneyland Park, so let’s take a look at what he found along the way:

Work continues on the second Starbucks at Downtown Disney

Security lines continue to be long and slow-moving at the resort, hopefully a solution is coming

A lot of closures now, but Autopia is back

On to Disneyland

Main Street traffic bustling

MARVEL Super Hero HQ closed a few weeks back, Star Wars Launch Bay will be expanding

Autopia presented by Honda opened over the weekend

The new blue paint scheme is much easier on the eyes

The new logo can be found throughout the attraction

All of the cars sport real Honda paint colors and the Honda logo

Obviously, the Disneyland Railroad is still closed for Star Wars Land construction

Autopia was experiencing some issues earlier in the day on Friday

Is a Star Wars Land preview center coming, or just more meet and greets?

It’s that time of year… the ducklings are out!

Star Wars construction continues in the North of Frontierland and Critter Country

Getting a better look at Star Wars Land construction from the top of the parking structure

It has been over two decades since Disneyland has seen land clearing like this, and this is the largest size clearing in park history

As the land gets flatter, we get closer and closer to the first foundations being laid for the new attractions, stores, and restaurants

I took a visit to Disney Springs last week to do some shopping and I managed to take some interesting pictures to share while I was there, so let’s take a look:

Lots of signs in stock at the Art of Disney

The lost parents sign from Disneyland is fairly new

After a few weeks of searching, I found the magnets with the Star Wars attraction posters, but they are $10 each

The wall seperating Once Upon a Toy from the new Bibbidi Bobiddi Boutique is done and is now shelf space on the Toy store side

Marketplace Co-Op now carries a line of Disney Parks linens

Work progresses on the new parking structure by World of Disney

Looks to be a new drop-off area by the old Marketplace parking

B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. opens May 15th

As does the Aristocrepes

Work has begun on the exterior of The Paddlefish

The new section of shops between T-Rex and LEGO should open May 15th

Probably will be hard to watch details of the old Empress Lilly erased

A new fountain lies behind walls across from Paddlefish

Walls came down around the Springs this weekend

The new bus loop is pretty much finished with the exception of laying some grass down

I made a visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier this week to see the latest progress on all of the ongoing projects at the park, so let’s see what’s new and exciting around the park:

Work continues on what we assume will be where the projectors are going for the new Star Wars fireworks show

The new Center Stage looks almost ready for the new Star Wars show premiering on the 4th

Some work happening around the old show towers

Just a few days left until the Backlot is history

They have wasted no time ripping down the back of the Premier Theater

Work continues on what was Pizza Planet, rumored to now be a Muppets eatery

All of the signage is gone now

If the Writer’s Stop is supposed mto change in some major way come Sunday, there is very little evidence of it yet

Work continues on the new meet and greets for Mickey, Minnie, and Olaf

A look at the other side

A new covered queue area and entrance being installed

The Trolley Car Cafe Starbucks is now testing using the larger doors on Sunset as the entrance

Reel Vogue now sells MARVEL merchandise

Hollywood Junction, which was a pin store for many years and more recently sold hats, is now just a new home for the food carts that once resided in the streets

The cart used to be right outside

There is now a Caprese Sandwich at Backlot Express

Also, a seasonal cupcake

The caprese sandwich actually wasn’t terrible

The Jungle Book preview has now taken over the theater at One Man’s Dream
